Crew and I stopped here and stocked up for a day on the beach. They kept the bathroom clean throughout the day and had a great selection of all kinds of groceries. We picked up donuts and turkey wraps, easy, no mess finger foods to devour. They have a large parking lot, pharmacy, and if you're in doubt of what your blood pressure is, there's a machine for your use while you wait in line for the bathroom. The free Laguna Beach shuttle stops right in front to save you a walk from the main beach (15 minutes), convenient location. read more

The store deserves no star! Seriously the worst pavilions I've been to. The deli section were extremely rude. The older gentle man had an attitude. They had an order to fulfill and they felt they can give attitude to the customers. The sandwiches were alright. The veggies used were all chopped really large. Sloppily done. I've been coming to this pavilions for the last two years and was never impressed. I noticed the last 5 months a positive difference in the store! Ever since Ryan the new Store Manager came here the store has done a complete 360! The store is cleaner folks are friendlier and checkout lines are cut in half!! This small little store is great because it has a great selection of liquor a friendly pharmacist and a clean deli! Thanks Ryan for making Pavilions my favorite local market again! read more

Scary place yesterday afternoon. No hand wipes at the front door to start. Although the checkers had screens the bag person looked sick and had no mask. When asked where his mask was he stated he lost it. The manager also did not have a mask. Used to shop here all of the time, not now. read more

For those of you who don't know, Pavilions is a grocery store which is full service and even has a Pharmacy. This location also has a Starbucks in it which is convenient. There is plenty of parking here which is hard to come by in Laguna Beach. The customer service is friendly, I have yet to have any issues here. It is priced fairly high compared to other grocery stores, though there is a decent clearance section located next to the restrooms which is filled with many great deals. Overall, this is not a bad choice for your shopping needs in the Laguna Beach area. read more

Last week I was visiting Laguna and did some shopping at Pavilions. There was a young man in the fresh fish section that was SUPER NICE AND HELPFUL. SMALL LOCATION There are maybe 10 aisles here and theres minimal selection. Not to mention the deli employee was extremely rude to me last time I went in there I had to get the supervisor to assist because clearly the guy behind the deli counter was useless and could not be bothered for one second. Such poor service. The only good thing is the parking its easy to get in and hurry up and GET OUT unless if you want poor crappy customer service and lack of variety/inventory. I'm happy to have this pavilions just down the street, but much prefer shopping at the trader joes in crystal cove. Pavilions does have a Starbucks inside it tho, and ample parking. Conclusion: Overpriced / poor quality food, but convenient overpriced / poor quality food. read more

I live next door to this place and it's always the same... RUDE staff that seem to not want to be bothered...they leave you waiting to check out while talking to other staff members about trivial things amongst themselves. It's like you don't even exist. This has happened pretty much every time I go in there. The deli guy is probably the only cheerful person that works there. I've never been asked if I need help finding an item (it's a ghost house anywhere in the store except check out where there is usually only two lines open even when they are busy) NO FREE BAGS anymore...so bring your own! If it wasn't the closest grocery store to my house, I would never go here to shop. Thank goodness they are having more specials lately... I'm thinking this has to do with people not wanting to shop here because of their staff's attitude problems. Weird, because Ralphs and Albertsons south of PCH are totally different. It has to be this store's management or something, because it's obviously not the location if the two other grocery stores are extremely friendly and helpful. So I walked into pavilions ten minutes ago and I went into the deli section wanting to buy the siracha breakfast burrito and the guy didn't even know what burrito on the menu I was talking about...he was asking me what was on it... It's my first time there so I don't know how it's made.. From what it looked like..the burrito looked nothing like the picture on the menu..he then proceeded to make the burrito and I was very displeased. He folded the burrito like it was a taco and handed it to me. I did not even take it because I can guarantee he did not know how to make the burrito. Someone needs to teach him how to make a proper burrito because that's embarrassing. Very disappointed in the service read more

I'm always pleased when I drop off/pick up my prescriptions here. There's never a line, the pharmacists are nice and helpful, and i only have to wait 15 mins (I just do some grocery shopping) to pick up the prescription I just dropped off. Easy, no hassle. read more

I commute from my place in San Diego to my Boyfriend's in Laguna and I try to only do my grocery shopping here (for whatever I can not get at Trader Joe's). Everyone that works here is so friendly and know costumers by name. Just like any of the remodeled grocery stores you have to be careful about what you buy due to higher prices but they always have the best specials on meat! The butchers are always so helpful, they come out and help you pick out your cuts and direct you to the other stuff you may need! read more

Usually I shop at the local Ralphs or Trader Joe's but today I thought I'd treat myself to a trip to Pavillions thinking that being bigger and pricier might offer some interesting selections....wrong! I picked up some chicken wings from the deli and some mini cupcakes from the bakery, thinking that they would be fresh and tasty -- wrong again. The skin on the chicken wings was squishy and slimy with no BBQ flavor. The cupcakes were hard and crumbly. What a waste of money. I gave the chicken to the dogs and the tossed the cupcakes in the trash because who has time to drive all the way back and complain to the management. There is a pharmacist there who is so intrusive and obnoxious I won't be going back. I was prescribed an anti anxiety medication to help me through panic attacks. I didn't realized it was a controlled substance. Had never taken it before. Because I'm new to California and in between health insurance, I us Goodrx to find the most afford cost for the medication. She noticed I had gotten my prescription at a different pharmacy earlier. I told her it's because I shop around for the cheapest price. She accused me of "pharmacist shopping". I had to look it up and I don't even fit the criteria. I told her I use Goodrx and there prices change often from pharmacy to pharmacy and month to month. Something she should know as a pharmacist. She would t give me the prescription and interrogated me! "What do you need this prescription for?" I couldn't believe it. My husband accidentally gave my prescription back to this pharmacist this month. We were leaving for the Fourth of July. My prescription was ready the third. She said to me, " you can wait till after the holidays." I tried calling my doctor but no luck. He too was away. Worst service anywhere. read more

Everything the other reviewer says is true. But at the same time, if there were a "Snootiest Store in Laguna Beach" award (a sculpture of a high rising nose on a marble plate perhaps) this store might well win it (second runner up would be Whole Foods Market-- but only in Laguna). Or, to revive an expression of 20 years ago, this store has ATTITUDE. This becomes clear when you have any sort of personal contact with any of the employees-- especially this one 50 y.p. cashier, or even more so, the managers. They have utter contempt for customers. They're right, you're wrong-- no matter what it is. Just today, I wanted to buy just one chicken breast from the deli section. Unfortunately for me, they had a Friday "8 piece for $5" special. One of these alone was more than I could eat. Yet I was almost going to buy one. The deli clerk, however, wouldn't settle for that. He was insisting I buy 4 of these 8-piece packs. Since I am suffering from bronchitis, I really wasn't in any mood for being teased. The clerk wouldn't back off. Instead he laughed at me. I complained to the manager who said the clerk was merely following instructions: sell chicken. "Why then, am I now walking out empty handed when my intention when I was walking in was to buy chicken? He had no answer to that. "I have $2.50 in hand right now, for one piece, will you take it and give me a piece of chicken?" (This was 15 minutes after I originally tried to make ) He wouldn't. No, he wasn't interested in selling chicken at all. What he was interested in doing was inflating his ego. read more

The produce section is BAD. They constantly mix old produce with new incoming produce and it's a crap shoot when you get home and break open your produce. We've had several rotten apples with worms, rotten avocados, dried out oranges, black stuff in our bell peppers. We've told 3 separate managers about their produce situation and nothing has been done yet. The Asian man who is in charge of the produce section keeps mixing old produce with new produce -- we've all seen it. This is a big problem. I know 4 different people who regularly bring their produce back for exchange or a refund because this happens SO often to them as well. We are all fed up now. read more

Their carts must have square wheels. I can't stand the noise they make bumpety-bumping along--it discourages me from looking around for extras. I changed carts and the next one did the same thing. So did other shoppers' carts. I don't like shopping there for that reason read more

Excellent selection and produce, and I love the Starbucks in the front of the store. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the slow service when checking out. read more
