This is a much nicer store compared to South Coast Plaza. Employees here were better trained with helpful customer service and didn't get in your face every two seconds. Displays were clean and organized unlike South Coast's We bought some Fall themed stuff for the kitchen such as pot holders, towels, etc. I also had to pick up some more of their low calorie cocktail mixers that are overpriced yet delicious. Plenty of parking. It's on the Trader Joe's side of the plaza. Can't beat the ocean view when you walk out the door! read more

I was in here yesterday evening 6/18/25 and a wonderful sales lady by the name of Kerrie helped me. I bought a mug for a gift and she was so kind and gracious. She even put a bow on the package seeing how it was a very special gift. She was more than accommodating and helpful. I've been to this location many times, but very few are as helpful as Kerrie. I won't even go to the one in South Coast Plaza because they are all stuck up and seem as if they don't care about the customer or their needs. Kerrie is a true gem and should help teach others how to interact with the people that they are helping. read more

This surprisingly large location in the Crystal Cove shopping center in Newport Coast offers. Wes is incredible selection of cooking utensils, appliances, and tasty items to cook inside them in a great location with very friendly welcoming service. We purchased a very nice toaster oven here a while back, and we were very happy with the way that they assisted us and making the right selection that fit what we were looking for not only in terms of size but features. I'm so sad this location has such poor reviews. Perhaps it is now under new management? I have been to this location twice in the last month, and I was so surprised at lovey the staff was. They helped me find some items in the back as well as a storage box for an item. Every staff member asked if I needed anything and helped me shop-it was like shopping with a friend. I was just at this location today 11/28/25 and it did not go well. I've been having a problem with these chocolate candy canes I bought. They told me I couldn't return them. I called customer service and they said there would be no problem. I talked to a manager her name was Suzanne and she said there would be no problem. However today when I went in a manager her name was Emily did acknowledged everything I was already told. She was rude and not professional or understanding at all. Then she told me she was the only manager in which I informed her that I talked to another manager and Emily kept saying she was the only one. Then an employee told her that I was indeed talking to the other manager Suzanne. So this Emily was not only rude, but directly blatantly lied to my face. I'm always in here with my daughter and we always buy things. I hate going to the one in. Costa Mesa because they are rude and not helpful. However I've never been treated like this and lied to. This is completely unacceptable and not okay by any means. I will just make sure when I come in here and want to buy something I will never buy anything from or if Emily is working. I've become addicted to Williams-Sonoma sauces for preparing dinner and the various desserts and foods that can be purchased frozen and sent via UPS. Their cookware is also something I'm attracted to, and sometimes find some great deals, as I slowly switch from aluminum to cast iron or copper/steel for cooking, due to the potential of aluminum leaching into acidic foods. Also, I'm trying to stay away from teflon, as the jury is still out on whether this is fat soluble and stays in the body. read more

A very nice store located in the shopping center at Crystal Cove. It not only offers kitchen supplies and gadgets but is also a "home center" (pillows, chairs, towels & sheets, etc.). We stopped in to purchase some gifts and found several beautiful plates that were just perfect. We also grabbed a potato peeler and spatula for ourselves. Staff here were friendly and helpful. We asked them to check if they had additional plates in a pattern that we liked and it was no problem for them to go look. Hot Tip: At the back left corner of the store is a clearance area where you can find lots of fantastic deals on a variety of items. It looks like it's a corridor for employees only but is actually the small area for the clearance stuff. read more

I went to the store on December third to buy a gift for a bride. They helped me and offered a credit card, saying that I will get 10% off on all my purchases the first month. The card number did not generate when they applied so the manger asked me to put it on a card that I had and have the balance transfer when I get the card. I got the card and they completed the transfer. The problem started when I got the statement and saw no rewards. I called capital one and they sent me to the store, called the store and talked to Anthony who sent me to Capital One. Called the 800# who sent me back to the store. Called the store asked for the district manger's phone. Anthony who wanted to get rid of me gave me Michelle's number. Called her and left two messages. she did not return the calls. Called the store and asked to be assisted to file a complaint. I was placed on hold. They were quick to have my credit run but not responsive to handle a service request. worst experience ever. Nobody should go through what I did. They decided me to open the card so the store gets credit. I was given incorrect information. Worst experience. They just lost a customer. read more

Then I bought an item which broke, it was past their return policy so I ask them to look up the receipt for the manufacturer because I alway give them my info with purchases. If I could give 0 stars I would. Not one employee was helpful. After I was rung up which took about 15 minutes to happen the lady walked away and all the other people in line were like who is going g to help us. One person asked where the line was and the employee said I don't know. The line was marked on the floor!!!! I asked how long the knives will be on sale and the customer service rep said it's not in the flyer from the office went over to look at the knives and she still did not know. Generally speaking I don't come here much but was at trader joes and realized I needed some things before thanksgiving dinner. The sales associates are super helpful and the layout makes it easy to find things. Lots of people but check out was quick, smooth and they email receipts. Love that! Parking was easy and the location is gorgeous - water views! There are so many beautiful items from cookbooks to brine mixes for the holiday Turkey. I had to stay focused. I am here for two items... Must not break the bank by grabbing things I don't need. My kitchen towels are very worn and beat up looking. They are embarrassing lol so picked some up. Gotta throw the old ones into the recycle bin. I also needed refills for the guest bathroom soap so I grabbed these too. Managed to grab a holiday chestnut one that smells amazing. I grabbed a winter forest candle that I had no intention of picking up. Ok so that wasn't on the list but overall I did well. read more

We go to Williams-Sonoma because we expect well informed service and quality products. Let's me honest it's not cheap. However we have repeatedly had to return purchases because they "had to be shipped to us" and then they are damaged. Recently we brought in a damaged product and they referred us to the manufacturer instead of taking ownership of the problem. This was our last visit, there are plenty of other stores to purchase our kitchen appliances and supplies where we do not have to deal with the headaches. read more

First time visiting William-Sonoma and had a terrible experience. Will never visit any William-Sonoma store ever again. Employees at this location seem to have issues with telling the truth and may be racially biased. I've asked the store employees if there are restrooms available. She directed me to the GAP store next door to use. Little did she know that my friends were still in the store and heard the employee telling her co-workers that she lied to me because she didnt want me to use their public restroom. I only found out after my friends told me. I've seen other people use the restroom and so maybe race/ethnicity may have been a factor. Reading several other reviewers, there seem to other cases of the employees at this location lying to their customer. One reviewer commented that even though there were clear signs about 30% discount, employee at the register lied about it. Whatever the rational for lying and being potentially racist, I'm just glad I never wasted my money on these people. Strongly recommend to avoid this store and dont ask to use the restroom. Everytime I walk in huffing and puffing all sweaty after Bar Method class, William-Sonoma feels like coming home to my mom after after AYSO soccer practice. They feed me a hot cup of soup. They hold my hand asking if I need help, not in a an annoying intrusive way, but in a way that makes the hair on your forearm stick up. They recently sold me a frosting piper. I had picked the bag type out being a professional froster newbie, but they took time to show me all my possibilities, explaining the ins-and-outs of each. In the end I bought a $30 mechanical frosting piper. It's kind of like an upscale home depot for women. Awesome. read more

I'm a big fan of drive up store locations like this one. So much easier to get in and out of a store in a hurry rather than fighting the large mall parking lots and garages. I absolutely love the Crystal Cove Promenade shopping center. Beautiful location with amazing ocean and Catalina island views. I was recently at the South Coast location trying to buy some things, but they were out of everything I wanted. The store was crowded and the people were annoying. I decided to go over to the Newport Coast location and they had what I was looking for. The woman who helped me was so friendly and helpful. It was a refreshing change from the other location. It also wasn't crowded at all. As other Yelpers have mentioned they had some yummy baked items for tasting. I know the other store didn't have anything like that.... I will always remind myself to go to this location only. No point in dealing with the mall locations... BTW-I bought my first Vita-mix Blender....I highly recommend it for anyone who makes iced drinks and smoothies on a regular basis. Who wouldn't want a blender like Jamba Juice uses! I'm still trying to get used to it because it blends so differently than your basic blenders... Hopefully soon I will get the swing of it! read more

It wasn't horrible, no one did anything "wrong" but it did not meet the expected caliber of service with the cost. One of the few spacious and free-standing, non-mall, Williams-Sonoma. Very neatly organized with a wide selection of products. Staff was very friendly, courteous, and the aroma of the store was amazing. They're always cooking up something delicious! They had samples of the peppermint bark. In my opinion, that is a Christmas must-have!! I buy boxes of these. They are one of the very popular Christmas item they have, along with the hot cocoa. These things fly off the shelves. Came into the store just to browse. I've been on the look out for a really good stainless steel, copper core, heats quickly, beautiful pot. Nothing has really caught my attention until I explored a bit deeper into the All-Clad line. The staff is very attentive and friendly. A few staff members immediately greeted me and informed me with options to fit what I was looking for. Purchased All-Clad cookware along with some cleansers for the kitchen and cookware. My purchases were coming on board with me on my flight. The cashier made sure they were very well wrapped and easy to carry. She was actually very concerned about whether it would pass through security! Very friendly staff and treats your concerns like it is theirs. My aunt went here for a paella pan but I haven't tasted any yet. My family uses Cephalon cookware and if someone tells you the steel handle is heat-insulated (like the sales clerk said), they lie.
