None of us could continue to eat it. The following day I called and expressed my concern and dismay and they talked to management but wouldn't put anyone else in the phone and said well that's how we make it. I said it's not supposed to be hot peppery spicy, it's Italian not Mexican food. I have never had lasagna in a spicy version ans I've had it made by a large variety of people and places. They didn't seem to care and that was the extent of the call. I will not give them business again, $48 is a lot to spend on food that is clearly mislabeled. Painted all in red with an impressive porcine mascot, it's hard to miss this handsome food truck. Offerings include typical BBQ -- pulled pork and ribs, potato salad, coleslaw, and beans, plus the added and somewhat unique sausage options. I would say prices are quite fair, especially for a food truck, which I find is often more expensive than I feel it should be. Here, we got a pulled pork sandwich plate, which came with a sandwich and my choice of two sides, as well as a regular pulled pork sandwich with just a bag of chips, and two canned drinks for about $17. I find it's not unusual to pay $12 for one person alone at many other trucks, so this was a good deal. The two young adults running the truck were very pleasant and our food came out promptly. I opted for macaroni and cheese and plain Lays as my side items. Not much to say about the Lays other than they were tasty as always! The macaroni and cheese was definitely the best part of the meal. Noodles weren't too soft and it was flavorful and well seasoned; I feel like I detected hints of some kind of Cajun-ish spice, but regardless it was very solid mac! The buns for the sandwiches were store bought but were soft and slightly sweet. I would've enjoyed them more if the bottom bun wasn't totally disintegrated by the time I started eating. Can't help but wonder if maybe the sandwich was pre-plated for a while, because it was probably less than 5 minutes between the time I ordered and sat down with my food. There's no way a bun would've gotten that soft that quickly with the relatively meager amount of bbq sauce, so I can't help but wonder. I wound up eating my sandwich with a fork and knife to avoid the sticky, soggy mess. I kind of missed having a sandwich to eat with my hands, but it was okay. I liked the bbq sauce pretty well; it struck a nice balance of sweet and vinegary. The pork was middle grade, which is not a bad thing!! My family is very picky about their bbq and I've had *much* worse bbq than this. My main critique is I thought it was a little watery/mushy and I like my pork pulled a little chunkier. Overall, though, it had a nice smoke flavor and wasn't too fatty. This truck wouldn't be my first choice but I could definitely see myself returning. BBQ preferences are super personal so I recommend trying it out to see if you like it!

I waited about 15 minutes for my food which was more than enough time for me to leave smelling of grease. I grabbed my bag and drove the 5 minutes to home. The burgers were each wrapped in foil and each set in the to go box with a side that I had ordered separately. It's a good thing that we were sharing sides - had this been done for a group order, I can't imagine what a disorganized mess that could be. One of the boxes had the burger sitting in a small puddle of grease. Unwrapping the burgers revealed an unappetizing mess. The shoestring fries were already so cold and soggy that we threw them away. The onion rings, all 7 of them, were heavily breaded. The couple, where the ring was broken, were missing a significant portion of onion. At 50 cents a ring, they are a hard pass. All that being said, the burgers were actually delicious. I added grilled mushrooms and onions (an upcharge at a bargain 31 cents each). We had to eat part of the burgers with fork and knife so eating in the car is a complete no go. Even after all of the negatives with Johnny Gryll's, I might still come back - but only for a burger.

I'm very picky about German food and decided it would probably be for the best that I stick to their regular menu. This truck styles itself as Nicaraguan and American fusion. They have familiar offerings like Philly cheesesteaks and cheeseburgers, and then more Central American fare like pollo asado or Nicaraguan-seasoned mojo pork. I was most intrigued by their Valenciana rice: rice with peas, shredded chicken, carrots, and pork sausage. This meal is served with two dinner rolls. So that's what I ordered. The woman running the register was very warm and I was pleased and surprised at how quickly my food came out despite them being relatively busy. My main detractor of the whole experience was that I am not sure if the portion size matched the price. About $15 for relatively inexpensive ingredients (the chicken and sausage being the most expensive thing in the dish -- that said, neither was especially abundant) and the size of the dish was pretty small. The picture I posted makes the rice look more plentiful than it was; there wasn't any extra rice beneath the two rolls. I was satisfied after eating it for lunch, but wouldn't have been if it were dinner (dinner tends to be my largest meal of the day), and you might not be either if you're packing a large appetite. Price and portion size aside, I thought the food was quite good. The rice was fluffy and the sausage was tender. I discovered a few bites in that I enjoyed opening up the rolls and stuffing them with the rice mixture -- a very carby sandwich, as it were. The sausage gave the dish a unique sweetness that I liked. It wasn't spicy, but it was certainly flavorful.
