I received a call saying a plant I purchased had actually been sold to someone else and that I needed to return it. I explained that the plant had already been installed in my yard. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, I was accused of knowingly taking a plant that wasn't mine... which makes no sense. How would any customer possibly know that? Mistakes happen, I understand that. But how a business handles those mistakes is what really matters. Being blamed for something completely out of my control, after being a loyal customer, was disappointing and frustrating. They were very patient answering our many questions and helping us pick out just the right trees to replace several oaks that we recently lost. It was great knowing that all their trees come from their farm in Texas. Once we picked our trees from their large lot, they carefully marked them as ours to ensure those were the ones that showed up on delivery day. Their delivery team was respectful, helpful in finalizing placement of each tree, careful with the trees and our yard, and cleaned up nicely. The consult was good and we were provided an offer for a couple of services, thoroughly clear an existing flowerbed, remove a tree and soil injections for 2 other trees. Initial offer seemed rather high but then the consultant called the general manager to get us a discount given we would be coming back to replace plants in the flower bed. I had to call and remind the consultant 2 times to schedule the soil injection service as they never reached out to me. The tree removal was okay but they didn't remove the entire stump even though we told them we were going to put grass over the area. Then we made an appointment to meet our consultant to design our new flowerbed bed. First appointment he wasn't there so we spent time with the GM and we discussed what we liked and didn't like which she would relay to our consultant. So a week later we went again to meet the consultant and he had NOT been informed of anything we discussed with the GM, so we had to go through the whole process again. Ultimately picked out the plants and got a design layout. Agreed a date and time for them to come and plant it all. Long story short, some of the plants were damaged (a very expensive whale tail agave) and some of what we chose in the nursery turned out to be shorter when they were delivered. Oh and again we were told we got a manager special pricing....hhmm should have been a warning sign. After the work they ask for feedback where I made all issues known and I was told someone would be reaching out. That was 2 months ago!! I even texted the same number again. No response. Basically, whilst the products and free stuff they give you is all great. There is a lot to be said about the aftercare and customer service. I will definitely be thinking twice before spending my hard earned money at Moon Nurseries.

Really a nice little shop, super clean, well lit and lots of nice product. My wife went there to buy a very specialized fertilizer for her organic growing. While at the shop, I noticed he had not only built the building recently, but also did organic based yard service mowing, aeration, fertilization, compost, compost tea, leveling all sorts of services. I wanted to do aeration for quite some time, but it's just been difficult finding either a location that would rent the equipment or finding someone to do it without charging a small fortune. I'm probably outside of his service area but not terribly far from the shop. Nothing a small modest fuel surcharge wouldn't cover. Still economically viable. While at the shop I let him know I was interested and he suggested that I go on the website and fill out a service request to get a formal quote. I provided aerial photos of the yard, and some quality of the current grass. We determine that a full aeration of my lot, which is roughly an acre, an application of the compost tea, and a full mow edge and weed-eat would be a great start to spring. I got that scheduled and unfortunately that day came and it was raining. It was really convenient to push it off a few days and the weather was beautiful. We got it done in a couple of hours, it was a very painless process. One thing that I noticed is he has all brand new equipment so that means no breakdowns or delays in getting the service completed. He's investing for the future and I really like how he handles and manages his business. Great experience all the way around.
