After researching places with emergency/ walk in care this place popped up. When I called ahead they said they didn't actually do any walk in care but only appointments but luckily they were able to accommodate us same day. They were very kind and transparent about costs at every step of the way. There are also a lot of financing /payment plan options they have available at check out which makes it a lot more bearable. My service dog is now deaf after going there. I could not get her into my regular doctor in time for a ear infection. So I took her here. Now my $1,300 service dog is ruined. They told me to take her back. I did and the lady had the audacity to tell me my dog could never hear. And then claims she had tumors in her ear. That needed to be operated on and needed to be put to sleep to do it. I immediately took my girl and left. 5 days later, I was able to get her to move it. He said there's nothing wrong with her ears, except for she can no longer hear. She Is a service dog they have to hear to take commands. People need to start contacting the Better Business Bureau. I know this place has mixed reviews. But the best thing about this place is, you know your vet, you know they are gonna tell you the truth, and you know they are gonna do everything they can to help you pets. My cat has cancer and they performed a surgery that extended his life so much more than we thought. We knew the cancer would likely come back, and when it did, they gave me all the information and advice I needed to keep me calm and help me understand his prognosis. This is not what corporate vets will offer. They are a small business with a good vet. Give them a chance. I first met Dr. Sarah when she came to my house and patiently waited for us to say goodbye to my beautiful Great Dane Sterling who had osteosarcoma. He was at peace with his whole family around them. Most recently I came to Dr. Sarah to care for my dams litter of puppies (after calling 3 other veterinarians who said they wouldn't take newborn puppies) Every visit was exceptional! The Great Dane puppies were lovingly cared for and given all their deworming and shots! I recently took my cat in to Dr. Sarah. My cat has chronic upper respiratory infections. Dr. Sarah NEVER showed. They kept saying she was stuck in traffic 40 minutes away. Finally, the tech got her on video chat to speak to me and she wanted to talk about vaccines and further tests that cost $325. She never saw, nor treated my cat. My cat was given her antibiotics prefilled in 10 syringes. It was the smallest dosage I've ever received in my life. My cat never got better. The dosages became dry and pasty by day 10. Every vet I've ever been to gives me meds in a bottle for me to administer. Which makes sense, in case you can't get it in their mouth and have to retry. Plus, the medicine once opened should go in the fridge. The tech said it was not necessary, but by day 7, the meds were paste. I would say about 4 dosages were a waste. They charged me $164, and THE VET NEVER SHOWED. My cat is still sick, and I am now taking her elsewhere. I called and complained, and the Dr. called me back with vague directions on how to find her, but there were no solutions to giving me more antibiotics. I asked for new meds. NO RESPONSE. I'm so angry, I'm going to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE LISCENSING BOARD. read more

My gecko is dead now and I don't know how on earth to go on. I brought her for an eye problem and got eye drops that didn't end up working and she just got worse and died in their ER. For background, I just adopted a male kitten, and all was good for 6 months, until he became blocked. I took my dog for a follow up on her ear infections and to get updated vaccinations. She was released with bad bruising around her legs and elbows. The vet was irritated when I asked her how my dog got bruised, explain "this is the first time someone has complained about this" and interrupted me the entire conversation. They never even looked at her ear, and seemingly didn't know she was deaf even though we explicitly told them multiple times. One more update ~ Dr. Sarah has now repeatedly accused me of harassment and threats, and sent me a letter claiming she has "filed a harassment report" (with whom, the police? ) Posting an honest review is not harassment so I can only assume she's trying to intimidate me out of holding her accountable. She has not sent my dog's records to me as promised, and when my vet called the clinic they claimed to have no record of my dog. The comment from the owner below also states that a 2 week course of treatment would have been proper, but they objectively prescribed my dog 3 weeks of (incorrect) antibiotics, so this seems like an admission to everything I've said? Update 2 - my vet confirmed that both the type of amoxicillin prescribed and the length of treatment were inappropriate. More importantly, she confirmed the refusal to take a urine sample and perform a urinalysis was negligent. Don't take your pets here - the doctor cares more about her pride than any living being on earth. I noticed blood in my dog's urine and this clinic had sooner availability than my usual vet, so I brought her in. The vet told me she could not perform a urinalysis because my dog's bladder was empty, refused to keep her long enough to collect urine, but assured me this was probably a UTI so she felt "confident" sending her away blindly with a 3-week course of antibiotics. The urinary symptoms improved but did not go away completely on the antibiotics, then the day after the 3 weeks were up, she started urinating bright red blood, MUCH worse than before. I scheduled a follow up appointment right away (for today). After checking in on the phone, I was left waiting in the parking lot for about an hour before I just figured they'd forgotten about me and left. Upon googling the antibiotic my dog was prescribed just now, I found that it is used for UTIs in cats, NOT dogs. So I paid this money-grubbing hack $200 for a cat medication that caused my dog's urinary condition (again, don't know what condition it is because the lady didn't feel like touching pee pee that day) to fester for almost a month. She's not doing well and I'm terribly worried about her; really hoping her usual vet can undo the damage. UPDATE: relayed all of this to Dr. Sarah over the phone. She mumbled a panicked half response about the medication she prescribed (calling it by the wrong name), then promptly hung up on me. My husband and I adopted the most handsome cat Frank back in May. When searching for a vet (as first time pet parents) I read A LOT of reviews and did a lot of asking around. We finally chose Paws and Feathers and brought Frank here about 6 weeks ago. We sent them all the records the rescue gave us and were sure to let them know that as first time cat parents, we would need some hand holding. Side note, I had to resend his records a few times due to someone no longer working there, which should have been a red flag. When it came to the visit, we felt really rushed and left with some questions unanswered or not clarified. I called the vet after the appointment to ask follow up questions but didn't really get anywhere. And I mean basic stuff like is he overweight? How much should he weigh? Should I be concerned about... (I think you get the idea) Anyway, we decided that we didn't make the right choice and decided to establish care with a different vet. When we took Frank to the new vet, we found out that one of the vaccines given at the first visit was supposed to have a booster 2-4 weeks later. Since it now 6 weeks past the original shot, I have to start over with the first shot. I called Paws and Feathers to find out why I was not informed of the needed booster (remember, new cats parents), and the vet said it was an oversight of one of the tech's. Turns out they didn't really review the records we sent multiple times because the new vet caught that a booster would be needed immediately. I asked for a refund for the the shot they gave us weeks ago since I essentially have to re-buy it now. The vet offered us a deal to bring Frank back to get the booster shot but they already lost my trust and business. I am so glad that we 2nd guessed our decision and found a different vet read more

I had a terrible experience and poor service. My dog is epileptic and needs phenobarbital for his seizures. To refill his prescription he needs annual blood work. I came here and spent $300 to get his blood work done. This place forgot to send his results to the pharmacy. Then, I followed up 2 separate times and they 'took a message' because the vet was busy, and never returned my calls. Finally, I had to three way the pharmacist and this place (the vets office admin was some guy who was just getting frustrated the whole call and initially refused to let me talk to the vet) and Sarah Hadzic told the pharmacist she'll only renew for 3 months. UPDATE: the business owner never reached out to me and their response is an outright lie. I will start by saying that I myself am not a confrontational person, but I also have been to dozens of vets before and know that the way this particular one operates is off. To start: I took my cat to his appointment and waited about roughly 15 minutes before being seen. I was surprised to see that I could not go inside with him either. My issues were mostly in communication. Not once did the doctor come out to greet me, ask about my cats issues, or even give me justification for the tests or medications she wanted my cat to take. It was like a game of telephone, the doctors assistant or technician would come to ask me a question or tell me something and run back and tell the doctor this information. I was appalled, because not only did I not feel HEARD by the doctor. I also felt like I was being played. They immediately wanted to run two very expensive tests on him but offered me no reason as to WHY. I am not going to cheap out on his treatment, but I want to understand what the thought process is and why the vet feels this is the best next step, none of which was given to me. They also asked me some off questions like: "Does your cat drink a lot of water?" Yes. "Oh then HE MUST have a thyroid issue, we NEED to run a blood test" What???? I brought him in for his sneezing and congestion!! My cat has an enlarged heart and a lung disease, and the treatment for each unfortunately contradict one another. So he cannot take lung medication without it affecting his heart. All of this information was in his records, in addition to his X-rays and blood work. They immediately told me he needs to be tested but gave me no reason as to why! They prescribed him a lung medication anyways, and had I not known any better he could have taken it and gotten killed or seriously hurt. He CANNOT take the medication without his heart being properly examined. It was not until I mentioned this that they decided to backtrack on their decision. Again, this conversation was not even with the doctor herself, it was with her tech who was running back and forth to deliver this information. ALSO. A man was in the lobby with me with his injured bird who needed to be put down. He did not go inside with the vet to bid his bird farewell. However, the strangest and most ridiculous part is when the bird passed the doctor brought the cage out, set it on the counter, said one word: sorry. And walked away. I took my kitten to this place for an ear infection on june 26th, turns out she had ear mits eggs, And they cleaned her ears with a flush. They have us an ointment to treat her ears. We couldn't get into her regular vet because they were booked and this was urgent. They made us wait for over an hour. Fast forward to today had to take her for a check up ( to her vet) and another kitty shot and the vet said she still had the ear mits eggs and that ointment they have us did nothing for it so now we have to do another treatment with the correct meds. They won't even give us a copy of what was done even thou I paid money they said for the vet to call them to get the records, that's some bull crap! This place has no idea what they are doing, total scam! Oh they told us if it doesn't work to come back for a treatment on them because of them making us wait. This vet is amazing! A friend and I found a stray wandering in traffic late one evening. He looked like he was in rough shape and wanted him to be looked at and scanned for a micro chip. After calling several vets, who basically gave us the brush off, we found this one on a google search. They were extremely accommodating and concerned for the pups well being. He ended up having no chip. The vet shaved him because he was severely matted. They also gave us pain pills, antibiotics, and spray to help heal the infection on his rear end, as his butt had been matted shut. They have a genuine care and concern for animals here. I would not hesitate to recommend them. We ended up naming the dog Hendrix and finding him a new and loving home. read more

After taking my dog to the ER where he spent the night and was diagnosed with a pneumonia he required a follow up at a regular vet. That's when I found Paws and Feathers when googling vets in my area and saw the great reviews. I called and setup an appointment for a week later, the person on the phone was extremely helpful and nice and made the appt for me. The day of my appt, Dr. Sarah examined my dog and she gave me the brutal and honest diagnosis that unfortunately my dog had a tumor and coupled with his enlarged heart, it meant he only had a couple of more weeks left with us. She could've easily had me spend more money on an ultrasound and more scans only to confirm what her years of experience told her, which was that my dog could not withstand a surgery to remove the tumor and I was going to have to make the difficult decision to put him down. I appreciated her candor and her graceful way of letting me know that it was best to enjoy the last few days with my dog and let her know when I was ready to put him down. Fast forward a few days and my dog was having a very difficult time breathing and his heart was pounding out of his chest. The timing could not have been worse as it was Christmas weekend. I called Dr. Sarah and she was kind enough to come to my house on Christmas Eve and see my boy, checked him to make sure there was nothing further she could do for him and ultimately put him down that afternoon. It's never ever easy losing a pet, especially when he'd formed part of our family for 11+ years. Dr. Sarah went above and beyond and helped me when my dog needed her most. I can't say enough great things about my experience with her and her staff. The day I went to pick up my boy's ashes, she personally came out and handed them to me and asked how we were holding up, that was incredibly nice of her. Loved the first couple of visits with them... They seemed like a sweet crew to trust your pets with... Not so much anymore. All the receptionists have horrible communication skills and they are aware of it and don't work on it. They told me they would call me back a couple hours after an appointment to let me know when my pet's prescriptions are ready... Didn't get a call weeks later so I reached out just for them to say "it's not ready in the back" just to call me again 3 seconds later saying it has been ready... Huh? I always schedule my appointments at the main location but they also have an ER location and won't let us know that that's where they will be taking our appointment until last minute... Very unprofessional- that is definitely something to bring up during appointment scheduling as the doctor can't be at 2 locations at once!! My pet ended up seeing different doctors for the same issue and got different advice each time... Very confusing on how to treat our pet correctly. Visits with the doctor is very brief and never seems to help in our situations. Beware when bringing your pet here. Nobody seems to care about your pet's wellbeing besides making another appointment to ensure the $$$ flowing. read more

I appreciated that they were able to see her quickly, but overall the process of getting information from this clinic has been very frustrating. They asked me to bring in a urine sample after the visit, which I did a few days later. I was charged for processing and told someone would contact me with the results. No one ever let me know the results until I followed up. Then I tried to get the records - I've made three separate requests so far, and they haven't responded to any of them. So I've paid them almost $400, and I can't even submit these charges to insurance for reimbursement because they won't provide me with my cat's medical records. read more
