They park in front of your house, plug into your electrical system, plug into your fresh water system, and they knock on your door when they're done. Karimah rewrote the mobile dog-grooming book. She setup shop in my garage. And our dogs loved it. Not only is Karimah (pronounced Ka-Ree-Mah) the best mobile dog groomer we've ever had, I hope Karimah is the last groomer we ever have. I lived with Karimah Elhabashy and her boyfriend, Luke Pierce, for 8 months in Jamul. What I witnessed during that time compels me to speak out--for the safety of your pets. While Karimah is a skilled groomer, what happens behind closed doors is alarming. I saw repeated instances of disturbing behavior toward their own dogs--nine dogs in total, including six young ones. On multiple occasions, Luke openly admitted to physically harming the dogs, four separate occasions saying, "I just got done beating the hell out of them" after minor scuffles between them. I've personally seen him use a taser on these animals. Karimah admitted to using a cattle prod on her dog Liberty, the mom of the 6 young dogs. Despite my efforts to talk to them, to educate, to beg them to stop--my concerns were dismissed, and I was told to mind my own business. Luke often justified his actions by saying things like, "Do you think I like hurting them?" and "I'm just trying to be their alpha." These are not the words of someone practicing responsible or humane dog care. What's even more concerning is that Karimah brings Luke with her to grooming appointments. He helps her set up and bathe clients' dogs. As someone who lived with them and saw what goes on behind the scenes, I am deeply uncomfortable knowing he's handling other people's beloved pets. She used to groom my dog regularly long before Luke Pierce was in the picture. This is not a personal attack. It's a warning from someone who cares deeply about animals. If Karimah continues to allow Luke to accompany her on grooming jobs, I urge dog parents to think twice. Our pets can't speak for themselves--but I can, and I will. It broke my heart to leave those innocent dogs behind. I worry about them still being up there in Jamul with them. I hope this review protects others.

Ever since moving to San Diego, we took him to the La Mesa Petco where they did a horrible job. I remember that it was pretty simple to schedule with Tatsuma; just text him your dog's vaccination records for the initial visit after he confirms/if he is accepting new clients. The first thing I noticed about Tatsuma was his calm and CALMING demeanor. Tatsuma emits a very gentle and kind energy; important when working with dogs of all temperaments! At the visit, you'll fill out some paperwork for your fur baby regarding any issues, and how you would like your fur baby to be groomed. If you're not sure about how short to go with the coat, Tatsuma has faux fur so that you can really see/get an idea of what each length looks like. Visits would take 2.5-3 hours, but I was totally okay with that. Tatsuma was meticulous with his work, and had a keen eye for grooming detail. You can't rush perfection! And I wouldn't want to rush Tatsuma. I alway got the haircut, which included a bath, brush, nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland checking. And if you want the WORKS (teeth brushing, and not sure what else), I think it's an additional $5. Once you're set up with T-Dogs grooming, you can schedule out with Tatsuma for your next appointment because he gets really busy. Tatsuma also sends you reminder texts, which I super appreciate! If you're looking for a groomer to take care of your fuzzy fur baby (maybe yours is also looking like a mop), give Tatsuma a try.
