Year in, year out, Pawsitively Perfect always transforms my sweet Sheltie-Papillon, Scoutie, from raggedy to divine! Katie, Karen & Owner, Monica have gifted hands. Love how I can trust them w/my pup. Their services are vast, teeth brushing to customized cuts. We continue to unquestionably recommend this pet salon.

Had to leave another review ! Bluberry went on her spa day and saw Natalie . Bluberry HATES ! her nails being touched, i normally take her to the vet under sedatives and to my happy surprise Natalie was able to trim her nails with no sedatives ! I was so happy . Thank you Natalie

This is the first time that I brought my puppy Rocco when other places couldn't deal with my dog anxiety. This place is amazing!! Karen took good care of my puppy. Rocco felt safe that when I picked him up he came out looking handsome & happy. I will definitely come back. Wonderful customer service. This place was very clean it gave out a calm relaxing ambiance. Thanks

Katie is SO awesome with our nervous Goldendoodle. Katie is working with our doodle to be able to be professionally groomed after a few different traumatic and failed attempts by inept mobile groomers. Thank you Katie for our beautiful, happy girl. You are amazing'

I've been taking Koda here for about a year now. I love the staff, they always do an amazing job. Each time he's done, I get a call that he's ready for pick up. Sometimes he even get's a bandana, like today I was pleasantly surprised to see he got a personalized one! :)

I always go here to get my dog groomed but one time I avail their promo spa and when i got my dog they told me he has a cut on his head. Then day passed by it was getting worse. I went back to talk to them, they told me it was there already when i left my dog which is a lie because i would not get my dog groom if i knew he has cuts. Just be careful with the products they're using.

CHOPPY HAIR CUT AND THEY DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR PERMISSION

A neighbor recommended this place to me and I decided to give it a try since my usual dog groomer can get booked up; it was not a good experience. Price: $65 + tip for bath and sanitary trim - my dog weights 32pounds. Prices have changed and is different on the website. My neighbor was paying $40 for her huskies (who weigh 60/70 pounds) Hair trim: THEY CUT MY DOGS HAIR WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! This is SOOO not okay. When I came to pick up my dog, they said they ran into a problem on her chest and since it was matted and they had to brush it out - they ended up charging me $5 extra for that. What I didn't notice until I got home was that they trimmed my dogs hair on her body without permission. Had they actually called me, I would have said just do the best you can and I'll have my regular groomer take care of it. I didn't get a single phone call and now my dog has choppy hair. This is just soo unprofessional. And to make things worse, I noticed there was a irritation/scratch from the grooming (see picture). Also - I just noticed but they didn't even trim my dogs nails even though she needs it!! So basically I overpaid (and I tipped as well) for a bath, sanitary trim, a scratch on my dogs belly and an unauthorized choppy haircut. From my experience, I would not go back nor recommend it to anyone!!

The Pawsitively Perfect team is amazing! My schnauzer is naturally very anxious and Katie has done a great job of making him feel comfortable. She does a fantastic job with the very meticulous and detailed schnauzer cut. The online booking system is great and easy to use. I'm very grateful to have found Pawsitively Perfect!

Cut my babies perfectly. Really good with animals, my dogs are really scary and snappy but seem to get along a little well with the groomer. Very patient. It's very caring. Thank you so much for your work also very good with small injuries my dog recently got scratched by another dog on his eye and they handled that really well

They do a great job when they have appointments available, since they do such a good job you'd need to book atleast one week in advance

Ask the Community - Pawsitively Perfect

The name of this business & logo is eerily similar to the infamous Pawsitively Paradise which was responsible for the death of ~12 dogs by blunt force trauma. Are these businesses affiliates? If not I'd recommend to the owner changing the name!

Hello! This is the owner of pawsitively perfect, I can definitely ensure you that we are NOT that salon. The names might have pawsitively the same, but absolutely NOT them. I also would never be affiliated with or hire anyone who’s ever worked in…

Warning to Dog Owners - Please Read Before Booking…read more They say you don't truly know someone until you live with them. I lived with Karimah Elhabashy and her boyfriend, Luke Pierce, for 8 months in Jamul. What I witnessed during that time compels me to speak out--for the safety of your pets. While Karimah is a skilled groomer, what happens behind closed doors is alarming. I saw repeated instances of disturbing behavior toward their own dogs--nine dogs in total, including six young ones. On multiple occasions, Luke openly admitted to physically harming the dogs, four separate occasions saying, "I just got done beating the hell out of them" after minor scuffles between them. I've personally seen him use a taser on these animals. Karimah admitted to using a cattle prod on her dog Liberty, the mom of the 6 young dogs. Despite my efforts to talk to them, to educate, to beg them to stop--my concerns were dismissed, and I was told to mind my own business. Luke often justified his actions by saying things like, "Do you think I like hurting them?" and "I'm just trying to be their alpha." These are not the words of someone practicing responsible or humane dog care. What's even more concerning is that Karimah brings Luke with her to grooming appointments. He helps her set up and bathe clients' dogs. As someone who lived with them and saw what goes on behind the scenes, I am deeply uncomfortable knowing he's handling other people's beloved pets. She used to groom my dog regularly long before Luke Pierce was in the picture. This is not a personal attack. It's a warning from someone who cares deeply about animals. If Karimah continues to allow Luke to accompany her on grooming jobs, I urge dog parents to think twice. Our pets can't speak for themselves--but I can, and I will. It broke my heart to leave those innocent dogs behind. I worry about them still being up there in Jamul with them. I hope this review protects others.

The staff was nice and welcoming, and the lobby was clean and well kept. I brought my dog in for a nail trim, which they handled quickly and professionally. The only hiccup was with the walk-in policy. Online, nail trims are listed as a walk-in service, so I stopped by assuming it would be straightforward. When I arrived, they explained that walk-ins are only allowed during certain hours on certain days. To their credit, they made an exception since they weren't busy at that moment, which I appreciated. That said, it was a little frustrating because that information isn't listed on Yelp or their website -- it's only posted on a sign inside the shop. I'd still come back because the service itself was good, the staff was kind, and the prices are fair. I'd just recommend calling ahead to confirm hours if you're planning to use a walk-in service. Suggestion for the owners: it would really help customers if the website and Yelp page clearly listed the walk-in hours so people know what to expect before they arrive. TL;DR: Affordable, clean, and friendly dog grooming spot with convenient parking. Just call ahead if you're planning to walk in for services like nail trims, since the walk-in hours aren't currently listed online.
