Hello I am new the area and was in search of grooming services for my dog. I found Pooch Bar on Yelp. When I first walked in, I was slapped in the face by a pungent odor. I also noticed that the shop did not appear clean. Upon arrive home I noticed my dog had the same smell I smelled at the shop. Sorry to say that this used to be an awesome place to bring my dogs. I have been bringing them here for a long while. I called today for an appointment. I brought one dog in I just needed a bath and face trim. The owner charged 40 for that and 65 for the full job. She sold her business now the new owners were going to charge 65 for just a quick trim and wash. On top they felt uneasy handling my dog.... They didn't even have a basic price chart. They discussed between them how much to charge me. And they did it in a different language. That place use to be full of customers and today all they had was an old dog that they were trimming its nails. And they were doing that standing in the lobby! read more

We found this adorable doggy day care the other day on Facebook and had to check it out while we were in town! The service was great, our Zuri was so happy and pleased. When we come down to San Diego area this will be the only groomer we use going forward. Lexy personally provided Zuri her wash, and kept her company for a few hours while we did lunch! This place is AMAZING!! I used to take my dog to paws place grooming but the owner sold it so I had to find somewhere new. Paws place always told me they had to muzzle my dog to do his ears and nails but this place is so different. The 2 girls are so nice, know my dog well now and told me they have never muzzled my dog and that he is very good for them. They don't have a place full of dogs at once so the animals don't feel overwhelmed and the girls can focus on 1 at a time. The cost is the same as I paid before so for me this place is 100x better. I have two german shepherds, one of which is over 100 pounds and the other is a rescue that I recently adopted so I didn't know how she would act at the groomers. Even though both of my dogs may be considered difficult by other groomers these girls happily groomed them. My dogs loved the staff, seemed happy and most importantly when I picked them up they smelled amazing & their fur was so soft! 5 stars & I will definitely bring them back again. read more

She did a great job with cuttings our dogs hair. However, I paid her to cut my dogs nails and they were still the same length after.

This was a while ago but it's still something that bothers me all the time. When I went to pick my fur baby up he was still a lil damp and shedding quite a bit but because he's a husky I didn't complain, but I shouldn't have had to brush him as much as I did myself after coming back and paying when the whole purpose was to minimize the shedding shedding. Second I've seen quite a few reviews on nail trimmings, and this is that part that REALLY upset me, I get there and she says she needed a little help because she was by herself so she needed me to hold him down while trimming, ok no big deal. As she's trimming he's moving around trying to break free and she lifted her hand and tried to HIT him but I guess realized and remembered I was there she still smacked his nose but tried to play it off as "playful" and saying he was trying to bite away. He was trying to get away but not bite away. It made me think if she did that in front of me what did she do to my baby when I wasn't there. read more
