I have been going to Pawsitively Pets for over three years and have never been disappointed. Katy and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are always willing to help me. They also have a great dog wash area that is clean, stocked with clean towels, aprons, and a great variety of shampoos and conditioners. There is a ramp for easy loading and unloading plus a plastic mat at the bottom of the tub for no slipping. My first time visiting this neighborhood store was to support local businesses. Unfortunately my first impression was not as pleasant as I hoped it to be. I found the specific product I was looking for with a price tag of $5.99 on it but when I took it to the register it rang at $9.99. When I insisted that it wasn't the correct price on the package the nice clerk called a manager (owner?) who at the time was on the phone and seemed more annoyed at my questioning than anything. The manager finally gets off the phone by sighing to the person on the other end of the phone just to come tell me 'I can't do that because I will be taking a loss, it was totally our bad but there is nothing I can do" with a smirk/ smile on her face. I proceeded to inform her that other stores usually honor the price if it's "their bad", but she stood firm on her decision and I ended up paying the higher price. The young lady at the register was nice and I could tell was embarrassed by the whole ordeal. I will never go back to this store and I will tell all of my family and friends about what happened to me. All of this for $4 bucks. Great selection of products at a reasonable price, but very poor customer service. I came in here while walking on crutches. When I found something I wanted to buy, I asked if I could leave it on the counter since I clearly didn't have free hands. The girl behind the register didn't seem to want to take her eyes off the Disney movie she had on, and simply gave me a melancholy sigh. While still browsing, another gentlemen came in the store with a bunch of questions. Instead of leaving the counter to show him the products he was asking about, she would point them out. "Over there... No there... No down..." Finally she left the counter with the biggest disgruntled noise I've ever heard from an employee. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get out and away from the negative attitude. I felt incredibly uncomfortable when I went to make my purchase, as if I was going to inconvenience her by wanting to support her store. Positive note: my purchase came with free samples that I'm sure my dog will be extra happy about. As I was leaving, it was clearly difficult to get the doors open with crutches and my bag. I struggled hard. When I finally made it out the door, I turned to see that the entire time, said disgruntled, inconvenienced employee was staring at me. I have been a loyal customer here for years. I called this morning regarding a specific dog food and was told the owner would be the only one who could answer that question and they would be in this afternoon. I just called back and was told the owner "wasn't in" and they asked what it was regarding. I was told this was an issue only the owner could answer so instead of wasting this person's time, I said I would call back or stop by. I was then treated horribly and yelled at saying if I couldn't leave a message regarding what this was about that it wasn't worth the owners time and to not call back or stop by and to take them off my list... You bet, I'll take you off my list... of businesses I am loyal to and spend a ton of money at. I used to love this place, too bad the pretentious owner just ruined a great customer relationship. Think before you speak, you'll retain more customers that way. read more
