I found Pawssentials on Instagram through their soft opening advertisement and first visited them in January. Since then, I've continued bringing my Goldendoodle back because of the excellent service. Emily is patient, professional, and always does a fantastic job with my dog's bath and haircut. One thing I really appreciate is that they send before-and-after photos after each visit, along with a thoughtful follow-up message. It's a small touch that shows how much they care about their customers and pets. The location is also very convenient, and you can either call or book appointments online, which makes scheduling super easy. I highly recommend Pawssentials to anyone looking for a reliable and caring groomer! Service: Groom + Style Extra Floof Crew (41-60 lbs)

This is Finn's second time getting groomed at Pawssentials and Emily groomed Finn today. Finn doesn't love the grooming process and he's a big dog (90lbs) so I prefer to hand him off to the professionals. I gave Emily a head's up that he'll sit down and refuse to move sometimes. She was very sweet and understanding and then took Finn inside. Less than two hours later, Finn was out looking clean and cute with a little bandana! I always appreciate the 30 min heads up text they give so I have enough notice to come pick him up. Setting up a future appointment is super easy with them and I've already rebooked with Emily. Highly recommend Pawssentials if you're looking for a groomer that'll take care of your fur baby!

I want to gate-keep but I can't not leave a raving review. Finding a dog groomer is just like finding any other service provider--once you find a great one, you don't want to lose them. That's exactly the case with Elena. She does an outstanding job with our dog and is truly a master of her craft. After going through at least 10 different groomers in the Bay Area over the past 8 years, I hadn't found anyone who consistently impressed me or delivered reliable cuts for my pup. Not to say there weren't good groomers--but they were good, not great. I'm excited that Elena has opened her own business, and our first visit there was nothing short of a warm and excellent experience. She provided an estimated pickup time, and her estimate was very accurate, which saved me the stress of figuring out when to pick up my dog and planning my day around it. While the grooming area is behind a wall in a separate room, I appreciate that the door was left open so you could see or peek in on what was going on. It also provides a sense comfort to see that your dog isn't just going into a "black box". The service was excellent per usual, and because we're a repeat customer, Elena already knew exactly what kind of cut I wanted and had it noted, making the entire experience seamless. She also sends photos after they cut that are great, and always gives a little flair to finish off the groom. That extra touch means everything. I highly recommend this business!

SOOO happy to have found Pawssentials! Not only is the grooming the best, but everyone there is so friendly and nice. Their place is very; very clean as well. They're always on time, have a text reminder 30 mins ahead of pick up. Prices are so worth for what you get and they make it so easy to schedule. Open everyday from 8am - 5pm so plenty of options! Parking is easy and around many coffee shops and plazas to keep busy while you wait. Couldn't recommend enough!

10/10!!! Toby has had his second visit with Emily and I'm sure he loves getting a self care day with her! It's pretty straight forward and low stress when checking in. We do a zoom appointment since he is pet aggressive and will stay with the her for the entirety of his visit. Emily is now our go to in the bay and I love receiving the post groom photos! We can't wait to see Emily again for our next groom, highly recommend :)

I've taken my dogs to Pawssentials a few times, and we couldn't be happier! At their previous groomer, my dogs used to be so nervous. But at Pawssentials, they are always happy going in and just as happy when I pick them up! The team is also incredibly communicative and accommodating with scheduling. Elena has been grooming my fur baby Teddy since he was a puppy, and he's now 4, she is absolutely the BEST! Teddy adores Elena and looks forward to his grooming appointments, which speaks volumes about how caring and patient she is with the dogs she works with. Every time Teddy leaves Elena, he looks SO CUTE, and perfectly groomed. He can have lot of tear staining and Elena cleans him up!! Plus his cuts are always the cutest! I get TONS of compliments about Teddy. Elena is super talented, trustworthy, and clearly loves what she does. I can't rave enough about Elena. I came here a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend and our fur babies to treat them to a spa day. My boyfriend booked an appointment for nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning. We were greeted upon entering with friendly and warm smiles from Cindy and Elena. They took our fur babies one at a time, which was nice and it gave us time to walk our other babies around the plaza and look around. Each appointment for the babies didn't take too long and they all came out looking refreshed and clean. We were worried about our shiba, Roku, because he has white coat syndrome, but he did really well with Cindy and Elena! I was shocked they were able to handle him because when we go anywhere groomers or vet related, my boyfriend and I always end up having to step inside the room or we get asked to put a muzzle on him. Great service here especially if you have dogs with dark colored nails like our pitty, Kirin, they were able to trim her nails down short. We do it at home, but always stop because we're scared to cut her from trimming down too short. Our oldest pitty, Lexi, enjoyed her spa trip the most. All of their ears, teeth and nails looked amazing and cleaner. We'll be back here on their birthdays to treat them to a refreshing and relaxing spa day. :) read more

New customer here! I took my 9-year-old mini Australian Shepherd to Elena for a bath and grooming, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I was a little nervous at first because he tore his cruciate ligament two years ago and hasn't been to a dog groomer since then. Even though he's recovered, I'm always extra careful about where I take him and how he's handled. Elena immediately put me at ease. She was kind, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs who need a little extra care. Chase went in his usual hyper, happy self--and he came out exactly the same way: energetic, relaxed, and clearly comfortable with the whole experience. Though I was told he protested with songs in the bath :) And the groom itself was fantastic. His coat looked clean, soft, and beautifully done. He smelled great and looked like a brand-new dog. She clearly took her time which I appreciate. The price is reasonable and I plan to come back. It's such a relief to find someone you can trust with your pet, especially when they have a history of injury. I forgot the name of the other lady that we met at check out, but she was friendly and hooked us up with a new customer goodie bag. I also want to note that I appreciate during hand off and pick up that there wasn't a waiting room with a bunch of dogs in the lobby--it felt like a personal experience and saved me the anxiety of my dog engaging in a bark off with other dogs! Emily worked wonders for my cat Luna! I was nervous at first because she can be a pretty feisty girl but she had zero problems with Emily. Luna came out with freshly cut nails, a nice smelling coat of fur, and most importantly a happy mood. The customer service was excellent and they give you a heads up when the service is almost done. I highly recommend coming to Pawssentials and bringing your cat to Emily. It is easy to tell that everyone who works here cares about your pets and knows how to treat them well. read more

I drive my senior dog 1hr 20 min so she can get groomed by Elena. That should hopefully paint a picture of how good Elena is at her craft! She takes it slow when working on my pup who can be grouchy when her feet are touched. Over time she has become so comfortable with Elena; I'm so thankful for that. This review is for Elena , we have been coming to her for a while now and followed her from lush Spaw and I trust her entirely with my baby blue. She has been very nice and kind and thorough when it comes to grooming my boy blue . Me and my husband love her so much and we trust her whole heartily with our baby blue. She has been transparent and asks us first what cut we wanna keep and is aware of certain things we don't like being done with blue during his grooms . She always sends me cute pictures of blue after his groom, and always lets me know how he was after his groom, and it's a protocol for me to ask especially with his temperaments and I enjoy the honesty. . Thank you Elena for another great grooming job on Buster! We have had several groomers over the years, but none as patient and compassionate as Elena is with Buster! We have followed her every time she has moved and were so happy when we found her once again at Pawssentials! Buster is now 15 and is no longer able to stand for long periods of time, but Elena is still willing to groom him and did a fantastic job! Not too many groomers are willing to do this (I know because several years ago my other dog was turned away by multiple groomers when she had kidney disease and had troubled standing). Elena has been grooming our 16-year-old dog, Mochi, for years, and we truly trust her with him. She is always careful, detail oriented, and timely, and she genuinely takes great care of our doggo. This matters even more because Mochi is a senior with sensitive post-surgery areas, and Elena is always meticulous and gentle around them. She also does a great job keeping notes on our preferences and Mochi's specific needs. As for the facility, Pawssentials is clean, well maintained, and easy to book with. We are so happy to have finally found the perfect groomer for Calvin. We stumbled upon Pawssentials when they first opened and were looking for another groomer since we had a situation with his last groomer that left us feeling uneasy. The staff at Pawssentials is warm and friendly. Their package deal is very worth it, and what I like about it is that it includes anal gland expressions which Calvin needs frequently. He's been a scaredy cat with groomers but everyone at Pawssentials is very welcoming and understanding. He always comes home smelling, feeling, and looking fresh! read more

My friend told us about pawssentials and ever since then we absolutely love coming here. Emily works on my puppy Boba and it's been such a great experience. At first I wasn't sure how it would go because Boba gets anxious during baths/hair dryer/nail trimming at home and it was so difficult to do for me. But after coming to Pawssentials, Boba comes home super soft and looks so good! Emily says Boba does well so I love that she makes it a positive experience for her. I also love that they inform you throughout the process if they find anything that needs some attention like de-matting, etc. Emily also is just so kind and I feel like she truly cares for your pet and doesn't rush the process. We have been taking our girl Mochi to Elena since she was just a puppy. She is the only groomer she has ever gone to and this is our third location with her. Every time mochi goes to her appointments with Elena she is well taken care of, and comes out looking amazing with the softest fur ever and cute festive bandanas. She is also very detail oriented and lets us know of any skin problems we may have missed on our girl. Not to mention she always sends us the cutest photos of her after her appointments. I could not recommend a more kind-hearted, thorough, and compassionate groomer than Elena at Pawssentials! We even got a cute gift bag for her soft opening I believe! read more

I drove quite a long way to come here for my dog's grooming, but I have had bad experiences with our groomers and wanted to make sure my dog was in good hands today. Emily did not disappoint! Elena always makes my Aussie look as handsome as can be. He comes out of the salon looking exactly how I envision every time. I live over two hours away, but when my dog needs a haircut, I'll gladly make the drive just to see Elena. Her attention to detail and consistency are truly worth it. They are not admitting they are at fault saying it's my dogs fault! ------------ My dog was groomed by Fiona. I gave her a heads up that my dog does better away from me, once he is handed over he is fine. My dog has been getting groomed since he was a puppy, this is nothing new to him! Upon arrival, Fiona did not seem welcoming at all. She did immediately approached my dog in a fast motion which if anyone knows dog behaviors this is a big NO NO. She said "let me take him" I handed over the leash and she rushed him to the back. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that this is a new dog and she just needs to see how he does. After a few minutes of him being in the bag, I assume she tested to see how he does being lifted, carried and placed and taken out of the kennel. All makes sense! She comes out and says "okay he did fine!" She points at the price and says $145, however the link she sent me via text and on her website says $135 very inconsistent numbers. She asked how I want the hair cut to be, I said please do not make him bald or shaved down. He can stay short, keep his eyebrows but trim it and trim the length of his ears and his muzzle area. I get a call at 12pm that he's ready. She comes out saying to get my dog from the kennel because he started to grow when being approached in the kennel. I grab him and he is so happy! Wagging his tail! She even showed me where she cut around his face and her hands were very close to his face. He smelt very good and looked good. She told me his ears were very dirty and she cleaned them, cut the nails and did everything and that he was great for the groom. I paid $183 in total for the groom but if I receive exceptional outstanding service I don't blink an eye and am happy to pay. When we got home, I looked him over and he still had Matt's on his ears. The AD said brush out for 15 minutes--clearly my dogs ears were not brushed. I looked in his ears and his ears still had debris in them! I understand not being able to get deep in the ear canal but the easy outer ear area had gunk. The full groom AD stated a sanitary trim but his sanitary area was not trimmed at all! It was the same length from when he came in! I checked his paws and none of his paws were cut or trimmed! Not even the bottom of the paw pads! At this point I am furious because I paid $183. I check his nails and NONE of his nails were cut at all!!! I reach out to Fiona, who groomed my dog and she asked me three times for me to come back for her to get it fixed. She said this was all very surprising to her, I told her I took photos of all the errors. She said she cut my dogs nails but if she cut it too short it'll bleed however they were not cut at all! They are still pointy and long from when he arrived! At this point we are going back and forth and then she throws the "my dog started to try to bite her" card however my dog being aggressive or trying to bite was NOT mentioned AT ALL! Not at pick up, not through our exchange in messages, the only time she decided to say it is when I asked for a refund as I do not want to go back to her grooming facility! I assume she is saying that to make an excuse as to why nothing was done. If this was the case why wasn't it mentioned AT ALL? I am extremely frustrated and I definitely do not recommend this grooming facility. It is half ass work for paying an arm and a leg. I expect exceptional service the first time, not after I complain about the lack of detail of the groom that you then decide to ask me to come back and do it over for me. If my dog was trying to bite, why did she offer to trim my dogs nails if I come back and that she'll fix everything, I truly believe that this was just a cover up, because she started to mention it AFTER I declined her offer for her to fix it! I asked for a full refund but the owner is only offering me half! why does it take someone to complain for people to start doing a good job or to start doing what their job actually entails? Why can't it just be done as expected the very first time!

Once your appointment is booked, you'll receive a confirmation text and email letting you know the appointment details. 1-3 days before the appointment, you'll also receive a reminder text, which gives you a chance to reschedule or cancel if needed and notifies you of their cancellation/late policy. Secondly, I can tell they're really sweet with the dogs because of how the finished dogs are just chilling up front (behind a gate) with the owner (or whichever groomer is taking a break up front). My corgi, Goku, even starts crying because he doesn't want to leave! He loves the grooming team (but to be fair. . . He is a corgi, so he likes everyone). If the dogs were truly afraid / traumatized from their experiences, they'd be shaking in fear. My sister's dog, for example, gets severe anxiety going to the groomers' and refuses to walk inside the storefront. Lilian, her groomer, will take the time to gently and patiently walk inside with her. Never forceful. Just going at the dog's pace. Please try to use common sense when looking through reviews. Is this really the behavior of an employer who would improperly train their employees to abuse dogs? Dogs are notoriously known for moving around especially near the eyes, so groomers have to hold dogs at certain angles in order to safely do their job. Let's not let one Karen's experience ruin Furever Grooming's reputation. Let their work speak for itself. The employees are nothing but kind, respectful, and good at their jobs.

Charlene, the owner, is incredible; very friendly, extremely accommodating and flexible, and so sweet with our old man. She's stayed at the salon late when we could only pick him up after-hours, due to our work schedules. Multiple times she was able to fit us into an already packed day. He's not the easiest to groom since he tends to wiggle around, yet she always does a a great job and never mentions it negatively. When he was a puppy, there were services that she wasn't able to do safely because of how he was acting, and it was always communicated to us effectively and directly. Even though some might find her abrasive, she's just a direct person. But she's always been kind. Atlas is co-parented (lol I know), we separated 4-ish years ago and both moved out of the area. But we still make the -- sometimes hour-long -- drive to bring him here and see Charlene.

But this last time was the last time I told myself I'd take her here. She had razor cuts under both arms & then got a fungal infection under one of legs. I didn't even notice it until I saw my baby scratching & licking herself so much. After checking her, I saw the scrapes under her arm. I was furious. Then the licking wouldn't stop under her leg. Took her to the vet & they told me it's a fungal skin infection. I asked if it can happen from a groomer & they said yes if the tools aren't cleaned properly. Now before taking her to the groomers she was fine. No skin issues. Then literally a few days after I saw the irritation on her skin. If you do decide to take your fur baby here, just make sure you check them while you're in her salon.

Just picked up Laika from Pawssentials for a grooming session, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Cindy, Elena, Sydney and the rest of the staff are always incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to understand her needs and making her feel comfortable. They did an excellent job with the thorough brushing and deshedding, her coat looks shiny, healthy, and perfectly maintained. Plus, they handled her nails and ears with such care, and she came out smelling fresh and looking like a total superstar. We've followed Elena through two Lush locations and now drive 30 minutes to see her. My labradoodle, Chewy, has had some pretty bad haircuts and Elena is the only one I trust. The full Bath Package included a wash (they had a few shampoo options available; we provided our own shampoo for them to use), blow-dry, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and a few more services. Our German Shepherd doesn't usually enjoy baths or having his nails clipped, so we were happy to hear from the groomers that he was a good boy during this grooming! (Treats may have been involved.) He came back looking and smelling great. Additional notes: + Super convenient having the groomers stop by our house and have the entire grooming done in their van. + Price was reasonable. Overall, we're quite satisfied with our experience so far, and plan to call Bright Dog Grooming's service again the next time a grooming is needed.

Found Wigglez N Wagz: Wigglez N Wagz was recommended to me and after ready the reviews on Yelp I decided to give them a try. After the Chucky's first haircut I knew Wigglez N Wagz was the right fit for us. Experience: Kristina and her team are just awesome, they were supper gentle and patient with Chucky. I am always concerned that Chucky will be mistreated and that the job will be rushed just to get to the next appointment, but I do not have to worry about that with Wigglez N Wagz. I will be positing up pictures of Chucky's entire experience. Process: Being that Chucky is a maltese he has very challenging hair, but Kristina and her team know just how to work it. 1. They first start off by brushing his hair to remove any matts. 2. They clean his ears by removing any hair growing in his ear canal. 3. Then they prepares the water at the perfect temperature to begin his bath. In order to get that clean white look on Chucky they use 3 special shampoos that are gentle on his skin. They make sure to wash his face with a tear free shampoo as well. During his bath they also clean his anal glans. 4. Next they towel dry him before using the blow dryer. 5. Once Chucky is nice and dry they begin to give him his teddy bear haircut. They also make sure to cut Chucky's nails and smooth them out with a small buffer. 6. Chucky's teeth are then cleaned and they spray on a fresh smelling doggy cologne. The end results speak for themselves.
