We were shopping in the store, the lady working was totally unresponsive to us. We asked her a question and she snapped at us as if we were bothering her. My wife didn't see the sign that the bathroom was for employees only and after she got out, the same lady made numerous rude comments about her using the bathroom. Super nice people and great service. LOTS of inventory for dogs of all sizes and many very sturdy and well priced chews and dog toys to pick from. They went out of their way to be helpful in finding a soft fabric harness for my boxer mix even though she was back home in surprise. Too small by about an inch so I'm hoping I can mail it back for an exchange or refund. Highly recommend this local business! read more

Purchased a pricy bag of cat kibble and my kitties threw it up--got sick for 2 days---returned the bag practically FULL back to owner on Paws on Main--she took the bag and never refunded my money-----EVERY Pet store that I have ever been in will reimburse the money spent if you have a receipt (I did) or even a complaint on the food purchased. WAY WAY overpriced pet food--cans were .20 more than competitors and .50 more than CHEWY.COM! WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS place...very disappointed and unethical. read more

Your review WARNING!! Not dog friendly or a child friendly establishment!! My family and I are new residents to Cottonwood just recently purchasing a new home in the area. Since we have been here we of course have been asking our neighbors and area residents about the best shops and restaurants in town. We decided to check out "Paws on Main" because most of our friends and family have dogs and we were shopping for Christmas gifts. All I can say is I am really glad this was the last shop we visited before concluding our shopping trip in Old town Cottonwood. The lady running the shop was by far the biggest snob I have ever encountered in this most friendly town. From the time my family and I walked in with our dog and started to look around I could feel the very unwelcoming atmosphere. We were in the store maybe a minute when my daughter started looking at little dog hats and the owner immediately said, "sorry but that won't fit your dog" then "let me put that back for you". I was floored at her approach to my ten year just merely looking for Christmas gifts for dogs other than ours. See this is where she made her fatal mistake when it comes to customer service "101". My family and I had prepared to spend well over $200 at this store and buy for ALL of our family and friends that have dogs. So the moral of the story is that she cost her shop well over $200 for being a snob. Now she gets to cash in a bad review on google, yelp, and trip advisory. Hope it was worth it! If you are passing through, skip this location and head straight to Sedona, they are much friendlier at the pet shops and they love pets and children alike. Or even better, Cottonwood has a pet store right in town with four times the selection.helps others learn about great local businesses.
