After seeing lots of good reviews, I brought my motorcycle seat to be modified and recovered. I explained what I wanted to Jose and said he understood what I wanted. What I received the next day way a seat that had all the foam removed except for 1/2 inch and then recovered. The job was done by someone I never spoke to and obviously had no clue what I wanted. Then they told me that they don't have that type of foam to attempt to fix it. Basically, I'm left with a ruined seat. If you just want a seat recovered, probably will do a good job, but if you want it modified, go somewhere else. I wish I had. read more

The headliner in my Porsche Cayman had fallen and it needed replaced. After receiving quotes from 3 different repair shops, I chose Paxtor due to the lowest price. The headliner and side pillars were completed in less than a day and, although I had to clean the interior and windows of glue, the new headliner looked brand new. However, after a few days, I realized my key fob was not working correctly. After troubleshooting, I realized the antenna was not receiving the fob signal unless it was within inches of the windshield. Instead of going back to Paxtor, I took it to my regular repair shop and learned that two cables had been damaged in the upholstery repair, specifically in the side pillar. The cost to repair the cables made the overall cost to reupholster the headliner greater than the cost of the quote by my normal repair shop. My point is that this is a delicate repair job and the lowest and fastest quote is not necessarily the best. read more

I took my 2010 Lexus convertible in to have seats recovered; Seatbelts replaced; and carpet replaced. I was charged $2500 for the work. In good faith I paid what I owed. Shortly afterwards I noticed the quality of the workmanship was not Lexus quality. The tension in my seatbelts had to be adjusted; because there was no tension. And last but not least my air conditioner went out! I took my vehicle to Lexus for diagnostics. I was informed that because the carpeting had been installed incorrectly; too much excess carpet got tangled up in the gears of my air-conditioning system destroying my entire air-conditioning unit! Now it has been determined that it will cost $6000 to replace my air conditioning system! I called the owner, and asked for their insurance information. I was told by Paxtor that he had no insurance. So; a $2500 job ended up costing me $6000 plus the $2500 I paid for the work; with what appears to be no recourse. I'm going to get an attorney and he's going to pay for my car to be fixed. He says that he did not destroy my AC; although Lexus has photos of BLACK carpet all in between the gears. (My original carpet was white.) Lexus told me not to allow them to try to replace the carpet because he could bring more damage to my air-conditioning unit, and my vehicle. I would recommend that when you pay high dollar for your vehicle; which is an investment; Always consider; you get what you pay for. I had never, ever had a problem with my vehicle before now. Destroyed my entire ac unit Took vehicle to Lexus for diagnostics; determined that they left adhesive all over my gas pedal which was a major safety hazard as well Cost to repair ac; 5800.00 I had to immediately have gas pedal replaced; for safety I was told by Lexus tech that once glue dried; my car could stick in the drive position which could result in an accident The company was Paxtor Auto Upholstery They told me that they were the company that did all of Sterling McCalls upholstery repairs and replacements This was not true I am seeking damages for my ac and damages for having to replace my gas pedal. This occurred in May. I have been without air since that time. This occurred in Houston, Tx Paxtor states that he has no insurance. How can one run a business without insurance. Is there a way I can find out if he has insurance? I had absolutely no problems with my vehicle before that ruined my ac They have refused to pay for damages; but did agree to refund my money for the carpet installation. I have reported this incident to BBB and OAG All information can be verified by Service Manager at Sterling McCall Lexus Houston; Tx I need to file a claim for damages and my inconvenience to get my ac repaired. read more
