I took my car hear for a slightly different repair ie rear chrome molding attachment clip broke off leaving one end of the molding noticably detached. Was told by Coleman it can be his other employees will use glue and had to tape the effective end. Told me to leave tape on a few days. After removing tape, the same issue exists. If you've never had a sunroof liner collapse on you while driving and cover you in dust, we'll then I hope you never do because it was DISGUSTING!! Devastated, I called around and sent out project requests to several places on Yelp and some of the quotes were through the roof (pun intended). This place is awesome! They are SO fast. I attempt to self repair some rips and cracks in my seat and failed miserably- after I began my search for an upholstery shop and stumbled upon this place. I was quoted a fair price to replace my leather seat. I was told to bring it in between 8-9am so it could be done the same day. Went to get a quote on geting my arm rest upholstery. The price seemed a little high but none the less I needed the work done. So went with it and was able to pick up the finished product this morning. The product was completed but the leather color appears lighter then I expected. I however understand that there is no guarantee to match new and old. Overall, I was satisfied with the work. I however rated this business 3 stars because I saw that they offered a $20 off upholstery work on yelp. I asked if could I use it however the young man that assisted me this morning got defensive, " where did you get that!" and was adamant that I could not use it. I asked why not and he stated, " we already gave you a quote. Typically we charge blah blah. Clearly there was not a good reason as to why he could not honor the $20 off. MAGNIFICENT WORK BY ADRIAN I have owned a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible since September 1984. For the past few years the top would not go down, the electric windows were slow and would get stuck, the drivers seat would no longer adjust electrically and was stuck too far up, the trunk would only partially close. I was tossed about from one auto repair shop, body shop, upholstery shop to another. No one worked convertible tops. Electric window work was not taken in. I was about to leave the car with an upholstery shop that knew of a convertible top man who could be available on a moonlight basis. The windows would have to be assessed latter at a body shop. It looked like uncertainty and delay. I was told to call Upholstery by Coleman. They told me that I needed to talk to Adrian and we were on the phone right away. He heard all of the afflictions of my car and told me in great detail what the remedies should be and that he had handled plenty of jobs similar to mine. I drove the car to Coleman Wednesday March 9. Adrian came out and reviewed the car fully. He believed that he could solve all problems. I was quoted a reasonable price. His nephew AJ drove me home. 9 miles. Adrian called Friday March 11 that AJ could pick me up that afternoon to pick up the car with the job completed. I was there near closing time and the completion of the job carried shortly thereafter. Adrian told me that it's alright to watch him work. He showed me a new motor that was installed inside the driver side door along with a new silver plate related to windows improvement. They now go up and down rapidly. The top goes down and up  with ease. He lifted up the driver seat and drilled below. He adjusted it backward and got the back of the seat in a firm position. I was nearby to sit in the seat a few times to get it right. The trunk closes properly. Adrian worked confidently and swiftly. He has offered to get the digital gas gage working again, fix the hood so that a rod does not have to hold it up, and replace the top. I can enjoy my Cadillac convertible again. The feeling is salubrious. Adrian is a star performer and I think that many people should know this. read more

just now Mr Coleman, I was told that the job would take 1 week, it took 3. I'm ok with that even though it puts me behind on delivering it to the customer. The door paint was damaged during the seat install and when I brought it to your attention you just didn't give a shit. "There's nothing we can do about that" you said. If I could give zero stars, I would. Here's why: 1) they lied about fixing the rear seat belt bolt that asked them to fix 2) they incorrectly reassembled my drivers side seat belt 3) they lied about replacing my carpet pad (they left my shoddy DIY pad in place 4) instead of correctly gluing the pad to the carpet, they haphazardly sprayed glue all over the pad and frame and then stuck the carpet back on top. Now instead of looking like my shoddy DIY job it looks like a shoddy DIY that is unfixable because everything is glued down. to the frame. 5) they glued my subwoofer volume knob up under the carpet under the drivers seat. it is now all sticky and gross. 6) the work took two days instead of the quoted one day. This is without a doubt one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. They screwed up almost everything that is possible to screw up. Avoid Colemans at all cost. You have been warned. Had them re-do my headliner in my BMW. The prices they quoted were much lower than other shops around town. The time: They felt confident that they could have finished it in two days. I told them to take their time. Turns out they didn't have the right material in stock (I opted for upgraded materials). So it ended up taking almost 4 days. The work itself: Other than it taking a few days longer (I wasn't really in a rush), I was pretty happy with the work. They could have done a little better job cleaning the inside of the car from the old foam/glue which was all over from the old liner, but again, with the quality of the work itself, I was very pleased. Would I go back: Yes, pretty happy with the end result and it seems they managed to replace the headliner without breaking anything. Mr. Coleman still comes to work and interacts with customers. Great craftsmanship. Some of the staff have been there 20 years +. Although things get lost in translation easily so it's good to be as involved as possible with any project. They are especially good with restoring older car seats and interiors. CLIFF is the office person. He is white. He treats his mostly Mexican staff as slaves. CLIFF IS A BOLD FACED LIER. He will look you in the eye and promise you one thing and completely blow it off. I am speaking from three weeks of experience from promises and guarantees. All lies. None of the work was done. The shop does good work but do not go through Cliff. He will lie and manipulate you and always fall short of what he promises. Take my advice. Ask for Oscar. He knows more. Mr. Coleman and his crew do very good work at a reasonable price. There are cheaper places to go but not any better. Had the two front seats on my 1997 Toyota 4runner recovered in matching vinyl and they are EXACTLY like the factory original seats. Several people have commented that it must have been expensive to get them redone in leather...nope, its just good quality vinyl. The work was done very quickly as well! The one guy Cliff told me my sun visors would be done in two days. I call 4 days later, they havent started any work. They dont have the material. Etc, etc excuses. The guy Coleman tells me he doesnt care if i take my business elsewhere. He is rude and has no manners on the phone. I know shops get busy. People need to be honest with their customers and never set a hard deadline on work completion unless they have 0 doubts about it being done. I had an expectation. Apparently Mr. Coleman has been doing auto reupholstery (and furniture reupholstery as well) for a lot of years. These guys are no-frills, straight-forward folks who get the job done. They seem like they could do what they do in their sleep - they know their stuff. I bought a used luxury car and needed the leather on the driver's seat repaired. They redid the material on the doors of my VW Jetta when I had it, they not only redid, but expertly matched the color on the seats of my great grandmother's antique rocking chair and caused no damage whatsoever, they redid my mom's kitchen chairs and expertly matched the colors on those as well. A disaster. When installing the headliner, they broke almost every piece of plastic molding in our car, and never said a word. They lost the piece holding the hands free microphone. They also reupholstered boat cushions and never changed the foam in them even though that is what was agreed. It cost us a lot of time to deal with these issues. Never again using this business. Wife took car into them to repair leather map pocket behind driver's seat. They said they could fix and quoted $85. When wife went back to pick it up, they had glued the leather map pocket back on and held it in place with two screws sticking out of the seat. The other seat back does not have shiny screws sticking out of it. They even admitted to my wife that it wasn't done right. So then I go down to speak to them and the Owner tells me that he can put two screws in the other seat so that the seats match....WHAT?! I explain to him that the work is not acceptable and the seats don't match - he tells me that his way is stronger and lasts longer. He says that the plastic piece is broke or missing and the piece can't be replaced so he did the "best he could" to repair it. I don't begrudge that - but they should have called us at some point to tell us what they were going to and never said a word - just let us show up to find we now have two different seat backs. He never said that they couldn't match it, never said that it would take a whole new seat back (which run $300) - nothing. When I asked for the money back and explained I was an attorney, he then called me a M**fer to my face and went on and on cussing and throwing a fit. HE then said he would give me back my money, but was going to rip out the work they did. I've had to dispute the charge with my bank... BUYER BEWARE!!! They play a Christian station on the radio in the shop and the owner runs around cursing like a sailor when confronted about the shoddy work and complete lack of disclosure. read more

I took the car back to because of excessive wind noise, glue on part of the convertible top frame, & they bent the radio mast. 3 months later I was told it was ready, so I went the next day to pick it up.
