    Fun atmosphere

Stumbled across this bar this past Saturday while on a little weekend getaway in Flag. We were drawn in by the lively atmosphere and stayed for the fantastic beer & cider selection. They have several coolers filled with beer, cider, and wine; all of which can either be enjoyed onsite or to-go. Bartenders were very friendly as well as fellow patrons. There was ample seating inside as well as patio seating out front. Definitely recommend coming here; I know this will be on our must stop list every summer when we come to Flag.

    Cheers!

Gabby was so welcoming and gave us a few tastes before we ordered. She made us feel welcomed and what a great vibe! A little reggae and open windows with some outside seating made for a perfect Sunday afternoon drop in! Delicious local beers with plenty of options for beers and wines to go! Added bonus: If you're hungry, you can order Pizzicletta for delivery!

Best in service, vibes, and drinks! Great selection of beer, both on tap & canned. Snacks and hot food make Pay-n-Take the BEST spot to hang out! 10/10 p.s. they also have the cleanest bar restroom

Tons of solid beer choices and friendly staff. Vibe is definitely casual and fun, with a cool little patio out front. We stop in every time we're in town and enjoy a few cold beers. Always fun exploring the absolutely massive selection of cans in the coolers.

Just walked in here unexpectedly on a Saturday night. Pretty chill vibes as it's a convenience store along with a bar area. Love the concept!!! My boyfriend and I had the Grand Canyon Amber Ale. Although I didn't finish my drink, it was still tasty and only $4.50 for a 16 oz. They also sell coffee but I didn't try the coffee or anything else. We did purchase some snacks for the road though. Very casual vibe. I saw people come and go. Or stay for a drink and chit chat for a bit.

This place is a gem. A true local hangout with an astonishing selection of beers, and other drinks. We wandered in, early Saturday, had a quad latte... one of the best coffee drinks in flagstaff. The coffee was so big, they served it in a pint glass! The locals are amazing. We bellied up to the bar, and started talking to a couple guys about the 70 mile bike ride around Morman lake. Apparently this is the start and end point for the ride! The lady behind the bar gave us some great hiking tips... I love this place... Drop coffee $2... quad latte $4.25... this coffee puts Starbucks to shame.

It was around noon on a Wednesday. Bjork played on the speakers. Only a few people sat at the bar. A woman sat at her laptop, wearing hoop earrings and a flower-printed blouse. Three other men hung out. Two were already drinking beer, but quietly, to themselves, looking completely untroubled. The other guy was drinking a soda. I found a stool at the bar and looked around. There was a convenient store section at the corner to the right of the door, with the necessary supplies: socks, licorice, lights, zigzag papers, energy drink and candy bars. *An ATM machine sat beside it because this bar only takes cash. There' was a long aisle of single drinks equipped with all the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks invented in the 21st century. With breakfast burritos made locally. Overall, I liked it here. It was cozy. Personal. I ordered a coffee. Was given a big mug filled with dark liquid, room for cream, and a big metal jug containing the cream. I felt really situated, sipping my hot coffee slowly, as I tried to wake up, on this particularly cloudy day. I saw menu up front reeling a list of special beers. Happy Hour was from 4 - 7 daily. All drafts: $3.00. The Mexican selection: Always $3.00. I recalled being here on the weekends. This place would always be jam-packed, as layers of people would be surrounding the L-shaped bar of ten stools, but the bartenders would always find a way to keep everyone happy. I got saki on one awesome night here with a friend, and we trotted to the Orpheum across the street to attend a film festival. That was a good night. Just as pleasant as being here at noon on a Wednesday.

Best place in town for day-drinking. Gets crowded and sort of intimidating at night but everyone who works there has been friendly.

From mixers, to hard liquor, to aisles and aisles lined with fine wines.... Including local offerings that I have never heard of before. I heard that the local Prickly Pear Vodka (I think it was a vodka at least) is amazing. We did not get a bottle too try, but I'll definitely be back when we are in the area again., The best part was that we ended up discovering our new favorite brand of wine / champagne at this place (XXL). They have a bar inside & there were quite a few people sitting at the tables enjoying a drink. The staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The restaurant itself was clean and had a stylish modern-meets-vintage vibe that made the atmosphere feel both cozy and upscale. Their cocktail menu was especially unique. I ordered the Vendetta Ride, and it was easily one of my favorite drinks of the night: light, slightly sweet, and finished with just the right kick. I absolutely loved it. The menu features creative contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sharing plates, which made the experience even more fun. We ordered two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert, and overall everything was excellent. My only critique would be the Duck Taquitos. The duck flavor was not there, and the mesquite mole sauce leaned too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, every dish impressed us. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in Flagstaff!

I don't know if chef changes the menus often BUT we had the fattoush salad, the bread board, cabbage, fideo with the venison sausage, and the chicken thighs and for dessert, we had the parsley and the apricot gelato. Yes, it sounds strange, parsley gelato but holy moly, it is probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. It is savory and sweet, so if you like really sweet desserts, it might not be your favorite but it is definitely unique and delicious. Everything was incredible. My only critique is that everything is a shareable and there's no way to serve each item, which is easily fixed with a serving spoon so, not really a critique. 11/10 food Service was great. Attentive without smothering me. Ambiance was good too. Not too crowded. Noise level was good. Go. You will not regret it.

We lucked out with some gorgeous weather a few weeks back, so dining on the patio was very enjoyable, particularly with the cozy string lights on overhead. It was super packed, but some of the couples ahead of us rejected the tiny bar counter and stools at the end of the smaller patio; since those seats didn't bother us we were seated immediately! I don't remember the name of our waitress, but she was very friendly. She immediately brought us a water carafe and two glasses. She was back in under 5 minutes to take our order and our food came out super fast. We began with the Mixed Greens Salad with Chevre & Pine Nuts. The portion was generous and the salad was absolutely delicious. They let the flavor of the chevre & pine nuts really shine through by adding a very light olive oil based dressing. We then shared our favorite pizza, the Diavola, which was delicious as always. Their pizza crust is some of the best in the western U.S. I love the convenience of enjoying Pizzicletta at Dark Sky, but I think we'll be coming to this location from now on. We loved the ambiance and slightly expanded menu offered here. Plus, grabbing drinks two doors down at Mother Road before/after is an added bonus!
