We stopped in Oeno before our anniversary dinner. The vibe is very comfy and homey. We were completely overdressed but it was such a nice vibe. I'm currently pregnant so I was grateful for the mocktails! We placed our order and sat on the comfy couch. The drinks were tasty and paired well with the cheese board we ordered. This place is so cute! My husband and I were visiting from Tucson and I wanted to take a break from all the breweries in the area. Great find! I was actually looking for a patio to drink with my dog, who had come along on my trip. To my surprise, despite other reviews, there IS a dog friendly patio! Bigger wide patio area and some chairs near the entrance where you can enjoy a gorgeous glass from some knowledgeable wine staff. We went for the "wine on tap" (!!) and a local Arizona favorite - Chateau Tumbleweed's red. Arizona's wine grapes come from southern Arizona where the climate is reminiscent somewhat of Tuscany - perfect for grape growing. Lots of bottles for sale inside too, everyone was helpful and friendly and it's a great spot to sit in the corner and people watch. read more

It was 4:30pm on a Friday and they were busy but not so busy we couldn't find a seat. Man and a women behind the bar. Woman appeared to be making the food. Man acknowledged us sitting down and gave us a menu...definitely not super friendly but I brushed it off (we are from Texas where pretty much everyone is friendly). However, he was very welcoming to everyone else that walked in the door, appearing to be locals. We clearly were ready to order but didn't mind waiting, until the man kept helping every other person that came in with their order. We definitely didn't feel welcomed so quietly left. We love neighborhood places in our own town but the lack of kindness we experienced to new people was very disappointing. read more

Great change of pace from all the beer bars/tap rooms around downtown Flagstaff. They do have some beer selections for those that don't drink wine and got dragged here by a significant other. My husband and I love to visit this wine lounge when we are downtown. The staff is all very friendly. We once took a class they offered & it was very informative. We also got to try lots of great quality wines during the class that definitely made the class fee worth it. This is a great spot to stop by and have a glass of wine or even a flight of wine. I wished they would change the flight options a little more often for people who want more variety, but maybe that's just us. The lounge has a lot of seating options, low light, and a beautiful bar. Do you remember when we couldn't sit at bars? I don't want to be dramatic but that was the worst. Awful. Just terrible. I love drinking because I love sitting at bars. The bartender, the fellow patrons, the elevation alone- who doesn't love the feeling of dangling feet?? These are the elements that make alcohol so fun in my world. This is such a great spot! Large bottle selection, friendly service (Emma rocks!), and great prices. Came in and tried the $12 wine flight (three 2oz pours), and was really impressed by the quality. The by-the-glass options are clearly carefully vetted and selected by the staff, they were all great. Flight comes out in a cool wine-glass holder and the bartender used marker to write on the glass base which was which, great touch! BF opted for the Badass Blend, which is made in house. I specifically recommend the moscato (only one on the menu, fruity but not too sweet) and the $15/glass napa cab. Food is limited: they have some cheeses available for snacking with your wine, but beyond that, they seem to be partnered with a local hot dog business to provide some grub. Interior is cozy, corkage fee is low ($4?), and there is patio seating in front and around the side of the building. Cozy ambiance, attentive and knowledgeable service. We wanted to sit outside since it was nice out but then realized there wasn't a big enough table to accommodate our entire group. No big deal, we came back inside and the two staff members asked if everything okay. We told them it didn't seem like there was space outside and they insisted there was, and then went outside to set something up for us so we could enjoy the weather. Really appreciated. We stopped by in the early evening last night for a quick glass of wine at the bar before dinner elsewhere. Didn't get a super knowledgable wine vibe from the very young fellow behind the bar when I asked whether their Riesling on the by-the-glass list was sweet, dry or off-dry, but whatever ~ the glass was quite tasty. So tasty in fact, that I took a walk along the wine wall across from the bar to find that bottle to buy, but alas, no Dr. Fisher. Before I asked for the check for our two glasses, I asked whether the Dr. Fisher was available to buy by the bottle and the young man went over to another part of the store and bagged a bottle for me and we paid. Didn't think I needed to check whether the bottle in the bag was actually the Dr. Fisher Riesling I requested. Shoved the bagged wine in my suitcase last night to drive the 300 miles back home today, and pulled out the bag and it was a different Riesling (Karl Kasper). In the bigger scheme of life I understand mistakes like this are made and it's hardly the end of the world. But the bar was not that busy and our order of two glasses of wine and one bottle was quite straightforward I'd say. Don't know if this young bartender was just not paying attention when he pulled the wine from the shelf, or if indeed they were out of the Dr. Fisher and he thought perhaps all Rieslings are interchangeable? In any case, the bottle will be drunk, but I don't think it's too much to expect for a specialty wine bar, to get a one-bottle purchase request correct. read more

I love Vino Loco and go at least once every single time I'm in Flagstaff. I've always gotten wine, but this most recent time my mother and I each got mimosa flights on Sunday morning which were great. Highly recommend checking this spot out, it's small but definitely worth a visit! read more

My husband and I came to Flagstaff and spent an entire evening playing Dominion at this great wine bar. The best part was that as soon as we broke out the board game, other couples followed suit and grabbed games from a stack supplied by staff members. Vino Loco is fancy enough for a date night and yet chill enough to allow a bunch of nerds to sip wine and play cards. I've only ever been here once, so take this review at face value. I wasn't super impressed. The drinks were just fine but I'm pretty sure there was only one employee working and I was in on a Friday night. This isn't to say that the place was super busy or packed but if you wanted or needed something, you had to go get it. Maybe that's just the way a wine bar is but with the intimate space I guess I had expected a little more attention. I will say they do have a nice little patio space and with the nice weather, it is a great spot to sit and people watch. My wife and I love Vino Loco! We recommend it to everyone we meet. If you don't like wine, they have beer, mead, and cider on tap and in bottles. The cheese plate is delicious and has the best gluten-fee crackers I've ever had. We visited a few times before joining the wine club, and it's been a weekly date for us ever since. The wine selection is fantastic, and the staff is great at guiding you in finding what you want. Especially Tyler--he's an absolute gem of a person and an exceptional sommelier to boot. Honorable mention to Tighe and Morgan as well for excellent service. We're a little worried about how things will go with the new management. One of the major draws had been being able to bring well-behaved pets inside, and I'm not sure if this will continue, which would be a real shame. We are excited to have food offerings from Shift Kitchen, but we wish they had stated gluten free options on their menu. read more

Plus they have like 200 different bottles of wine you can buy to enjoy there or to take home. Again... a wide variety to choose from. They have a bar to sit at and sip and swirl some wines... or you can sit at a high top table... they have several to choose from. While we were there sitting at the bar, chatting with the wine-tender and a nice couple we met from Texas.... we saw a local group having a meeting. Good idea... meet to take care of business or get some planning done over a nice glass of vino. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming. They have some "local" wines... from Arizona and Colorado that are not your norm and are very nicely priced.... Good Value ... meaning good quality for a good price... and easy to drink...
