The crew came prepared and were very pleasant while handling the job professionally. When my original movers (College Hunks hauling junk) stood me up and never responded, Dammon was quick to respond to my need. He gave an estimate and quote based on the video of my belongings. Negligent drivers and dissapointly dismissive ownersip - was involved in a collision with a PayDay driver in downtown Baltimore where the driver hit my passenger fender, tearing it, as he was aggresively switching lanes before an intersection to make the light (where he then blocked traffic in that intersection - photos attached). When I was able to pull up to his truck to talk with him, he immeditaely began yelling at me that I hit him....Sir.........if you are a a driver for a company i would HOPE that you have a basic understanding of the following: "Vehicles that do not enter a traffic lane safely are responsible for any incidents that occur as a result of their entry into the lane. In a similar manner, when a merging driver changing lanes cause a collision, the merging vehicle is almost always to blame." If my car is stationary in a lane, and you hit me changing langes, YOU are at fault. I digress..... When he would not reason, I called the owner of the company (who I previously very breifly called immediately following the incident) and left a voicemail to which he NEVER responded. Due to this, a police report must be filed to get my damages repaired. Just know.....if you are willing to hire this company, their workers are not only negligent, but will also scream roadside at young women, with NO care from owner/management. read more

I've now used Payday Enterprises 3 times over the past couple years to help me with moves, the latest being a week ago. They are always highly professional and go above and beyond to make sure everything is wrapped and protected during the move. They bring their own furniture blankets and then use plastic wrap. They show up on time / early and work quickly. Highly recommend using them and will hire them again the next time I need movers. read more

I have never had such a smooth, easy and stress free move. On-time, communicative, had necessary supplies, knowledgeable about how to move without damaging your items and quick! Not a piece if furniture was damaged and it's because they made sure to wrao it very well. Reasonably priced too?? That's unheard of. I would never recommend this company. Very unprofessional. I contracted with Payday Enterprises through HireAHelper for a move on May 12, 2022. My mover was very expensive due to the charges beginning upon arrival. The owner Daamon Patterson spent over 30 minutes moving the truck and telling me that he brought a larger truck for the move. I spoke to Daamon twice prior to my move and was told that he would bring the protection covers and wrap. I am very upset that my antique furniture that my late Grandmother gave me is ruined. The sofa and chair have severe damages. My china cabinet was severely damaged. My electric fireplace was damaged. There was a hole put in my wall as well as the border trim on my staircase was damaged. I pointed out the wall and border trim damages directly to Daamon and there was no response from him. I noticed all of the furniture damage as a began to dust and arrange the furniture. There is no way that any of the four of them did not see the damages. Don't use these movers. I hired Payday Enterprises to move my one-bedroom apartment from the city to the suburbs. The crew was courteous and worked quickly. My concern arose after the move was complete and my television no longer worked. I contacted Daamon to inform him of the problem, and to explore a remedy. He questioned whether my tv worked in the first place, as he had never observed it in operation. He then reminded me of all the "discounts" I had already received, as though that would substitute for a functioning tv. I repeatedly asked for him to make an insurance claim, yet he never conceded. I got an estimate for the repair, which cost $80, only to be told that the repair would cost $700. A replacement tv cost $900. So Daamon gave me a "courtesy refund" of $200 towards the cost of my $900 tv. So at the end of the day I came out of pocket several hundred for the move, on top of $780 (net) for the new tv. This situation could've easily been resolved with an insurance claim. read more

We used Payday Enterprises (Daamon Patterson) for my recent move on the recommendation of the leasing agent at Westbrooke apartments in downtown DC. She said that the company was familiar with the quirks of moving in to the older portion of the building and would do an exceptional job at a relatively low price. However, our actual experience was a complete disaster. We agreed to pay a flat rate for them to pack up our kitchen and move everything from our one bedroom apartment for which we were promised three to four movers and a truck that could fit a two bedroom apartment, as well as the necessary packing materials. On the day of the move Daamon showed up with one other guy, a truck meant for moving a studio apartment, two boxes and a roll of bubble wrap. They made no effort to protect our furniture during the move, simply using a dolly to move everything without wrapping it in a blanket. This resulted in every single piece of furniture sustaining damage during the move from major scratches and dents. Moreover, they didn't wrap up our white couch and chairs before throwing them in their truck, leaving them filthy with dirt stains. It will probably cost us several thousand dollars to repair or replace the furniture they damaged (and of course these guys have no real insurance). Finally, because he only brought two boxes for packing the kitchen they ended up leaving much of the kitchen unpacked for us to take care of. While moving the furniture into the new apartment they damaged the front door and scratched the brand new hardwood floors. I had to take pictures to document the damage for the leasing company so that we aren't charged for Daamon's carelessness. The kicker was that since the truck was so small they could only fit two-thirds of our stuff in it, so after paying these guys to move us, I ended up spending the next two days hauling multiple loads of clothes and items from the old apartment to the new apartment. Basically, this was a case of you get what you pay for (or less). If you have Ikea furniture and don't mind it getting damaged, and don't mind getting half of the move you paid for then Payday Enterprises is the company for you. If you have anything nice at all and actually want all your stuff moved then you should avoid this company at all cost. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Payday, Daamon (the owner), and his crew (Andre and Leon). They were amazing! They were professional, courteous, efficient, and timely. They showed up when I needed them. They came with all the materials needed for the move, (moving blankets, tape, stretch wrap, etc.). The,were so well organized, the apartment was emptied and the truck loaded in an hour. They arrived in New York 30 minutes after I arrived, emptied the truck, put the load where we needed it, and drove back to DC. They were fantastic. If you live in DC or surrounding area, call Payday.
