    If I could leave a zero star review I would. Worst customer service possible. An extremely likely case of false advertising. Avoid this company at all costs. I decided to use this company because it was about $20 cheaper than Avis and the Payless website stated that the airport counter is open 24 hours. The airport counter is not open 24 hours.. I should have went with Avis or enterprise. Uploaded images of the complaint I submitted. You should read them before making a decision.

    Don't expect customer service!!!!! Tried to get help as the driver left me out in the cold.....she continued to play candy crush. Sorry to bother her ‍

    This is horrible... 20 minute ride from the airport brings you to a ratty old dirty "office" where you stand in line forever while the line clerk does his best... If you have time and are traveling for leisure, maybe this works. For work... not at all. I look for efficiency and ease of doing business and this place has neither.

    I told Payless I wanted to decline all coverage. They had me initial a bunch of "Declined" items but buried an "RSP" fee that I didn't notice until after I signed. I didn't even know that RSP meant roadside service plan. They did not ask me if I wanted a roadside service plan. When I called customer service their only response was "well you signed the contract." I am contacting the state attorney general about this unfair business practice.     Zero Stars: THIS CAR RENTAL IS NOT AT AIRPORT! First this place is 20 minutes away from the airport - you'll wait a half hour both ways (to get picked up from airport and then to get dropped off) Absolutely ridiculous - you can't be an airport car service if you can't even provide timely services to the airport - please read all other reviews - this place is terrible

    Car was really scratched up and smelled like nothing but smoke. I'll attach a photo for example of one set of the scratches. The heat in the car was horrible. I asked for a new car because I didn't want to be responsible for the scratches that are clear as day and they claim they had nothing. The shuttle driver attitude wasn't to nice either.

    They have one person working the desk. 33 people in line. It's been over an hour wait and I still don't have my car. Hire more people!

We waited just over 2 hours & at the counter. The lady at the counter couldn't check & see what we would be charged. There was one $300+/-charge that came up on the credit card machine that she explained was a security deposit & to call Avis with questions. The charge should have been $200, but came up $300 and she couldn't explain why. In the parking garage, Josh was the employee working. There were marks on the hood & front area around the hood of the car he was giving us. I was worried about being held responsible for this "damage". Josh explained it was a new vehicle & we wouldn't be charged. When looking inside the vehicle, the car was full of trash, we asked about where charging ports were located & Josh told us to go to a gas station & pick up an adapter. At the garage gate, the wonderful female employee (not being sarcastic, she was great), notated the hood & front-end marks on the "pink slip". She notated that the car only had 4000 miles & that "Josh" hadn't even taken the time to put gas in the car! It had less than 1/8th of a tank of gas. This sweet lady explained to us to take a picture of the "pink slip" that most likely when we return the vehicle, the employees will make that "pink slip" disappear & we would be charged for items that we should not be charged for. We were given a dirty rental car, with trash (cups, sunglasses, receipts, & used band aids), hood & front-end marks, & NO FUEL! Terrible customer service. Upon the end of our trip, we made sure to put more fuel in the vehicle than it had when we picked it up. Later that day two separate charges came through on our credit card. One over $300 & another just under $50. Since returning the vehicle I have had daily emails with Avis disputing these unexpected charges, some of which are for fuel. This has been the most disappointing and frustrating transaction of our trip & we won't be using Avis again. To say we are frustrated is an understatement. My advice is to look into other car rental companies. It seems like such a racket with all these crazy fees and surcharges for everything. Somehow, read the fine print before getting to the counter.

I had rented and paid for a rental from Payless, which is owned by Avis and…read morebudget and when I arrived at the airport, I was told by the lady at the counter that they ran out of cars! It was almost 1 AM so I had no choice but to Uber to my hotel and then Uber to my meetings the next morning! I spent more on Ubers that morning than the rental had cost! After Uber back to the airport, they finally had a car for me and when I turned it in the Avis counter clerk told me that I could get some compensation and gave me his manager's card! I wrote Miss Espinosa an email and included screenshots of my bank account and Uber charges. She wrote back to ask me for my contract number I sent it to her and she GHOSTED ME! Never again!

They didn't have the level of car I booked so they upgraded me. Once the paperwork was done they instructed me to head out to the stall and get in the car. Just a really streamlined and easy experience. The vehicle was nice and I was excited to get on the road. The exiting process was standard and easy as well. This airport had easy to follow signs on the return. I cleaned up what I could and got my stuff and left the car along with the keys in the return area. Smooth sailing!

The only reason i give this 3 star is because management fixed the problem quick and easy. i only paid like $230 for collision and deposit. if i were you i WOULD NOT go to front counter, go straight to the managers at the HERTZ office outside.     I rented a vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on March 6th for a trip to Destin, and was provided…read morewith a Volkswagen Taos. We departed at approximately 3:00 AM on March 7th. Shortly after beginning our trip, it became clear that the vehicle was unsafe to operate at highway speeds. It was unstable when encountering potholes or normal road imperfections, making it difficult to maintain control. Given the road conditions in Indiana and the fact that we were driving in the dark for several hours, avoiding these hazards was not always possible. In addition, the vehicle had defective speakers, producing significant distortion and rattling at low volume levels (above level 10), rendering the audio system largely unusable. After arriving in Destin, we promptly went to Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Fort Walton the following day to exchange the vehicle due to these issues. At that time, we specifically pointed out existing scratches and windshield chips on the replacement vehicle. The employee acknowledged these pre-existing conditions and confirmed they would not be an issue. Despite this, I have now received notice that a $500 claim for a cracked windshield has been submitted to my insurance. This is unacceptable. I have clear video documentation from the time of pickup that shows the pre-existing windshield damage, and I am fully prepared to provide this evidence. Filing a claim with my insurance without any prior communication is both inappropriate and unwarranted. At a minimum, I should have been contacted to discuss the alleged damage before any claim was initiated. Had that occurred, I would have immediately provided proof demonstrating that the damage was pre-existing. I expect this claim to be withdrawn promptly after review of the evidence. Please confirm that this matter is being corrected and that no further action will be taken with my insurance provider.
