Not the best service. I walked in, and the employee let out a big sigh like, what do you want?!?…read more I use to stop by here on a regular basis. I originally stopped coming here because the employee talked me into buying a different bottle of cognac and told me how great the price was. The price was posted in front of the bottles which was behind the counter so no one can change the price. What was strange was there was a lady complaining about a price that was wrong out in the store. He explained how someone might have changed it but they will honor the price. Then when I decided to buy the cognac, the price was $35.00 higher each. I was happy because I knew he would honor it because it had to be their mistake since there was no public access to it. But he said "no way!!" I called back the next day twice and once the day after that. Never got a call back from any manager. Very disappointed. And now I'm kind of surprised that no purses are allowed in here. If my wife comes with me and I had to tell her to leave her purse in the car, I would say forget it and we would leave. But at least now I remember why I stopped coming here and I see it hasn't gotten any better.

By far the worst liquor store (all in their chain) in the central Indy area. Since they got bought…read moreout over a year ago, there is nothing but a revolving door of employees, less selection of products and an attempt to sell bourbon at incredibly inflated and often secondary prices. They had Jack Daniel's 10 Year ($60 MSRP) for $300 for a year. The manager at the Carmel location said he would keep pricing his bourbon at high, secondary prices "because these rich guys come and pay the price". What a great way to do business. Not. This picture was from 10 days ago at their Mindy Drive (Noblesville) location. Keep in mind that the Elijah Craig Toasted is $50 or less everywhere else and Buffalo Trace (NOT a store pick) is $25 to $28 everywhere else and EVERY liquor store carries these bottles. Don't give these people a dime of your money.

I was looking for a specific tequilla... and they had it! Not only that they had several tequilas open for tasting so I was able to find a new tequila that is good tasting and very smooth. The sales associates on the floor are very knowledgeable; they don't just work there, they actually know what they are talking about which is very helpful. The have wine tasting on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They also offer classes to learn about wine.

Since I was in the area, I thought I would give it a try. I was totally taken aback by the level of customer service I was provided. Upon entering the store, i headed to what I thought was the correct area. 2 different employees walked past and spoke to me as they walked by. I thought that was pretty nice. Then a third one went past and asked if they could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she walked me to it. I am happy she did. She showed me where the help wanted button was that I didn't see and that also wasn't labeled. But since she walked me back and identified it for me it was ok. Then an employee came back and helped me. She was very nice and pleasant and said she would have my order up front at the registers. Even the cashier was both nice and friendly. Each employee I encountered gave me a high level of customer service. I also liked the fact that the store was very neat and clean and very organized. I can tell by this location that customer service is very important to this company.

After having a drink we loved at SNUGG in Irvington (which had a specialty liqueur we'd never heard…read moreof) we made a special trip to Total Wine to try to replicate it at home. It's an Irish spirit called Shankey's. We were happy to find it there. They also have a nice selection of THC/Delta 9 drinks. Probably the best selection I've seen in Indiana. The employees are also SO helpful and welcoming especially when we bring our dog with us! Sometimes there are tastings and samples. It's a fun store with so many options and if they don't have what you're looking for they will try to order it for you.

Total Wine and I have a sorted past. Like any relationship, there have been peaks and valleys. Let…read moreme tell you about the peaks first. They have some of the best cognac pricing around. My favorite is Remy Martin with D'usse coming in second. I also enjoy the wine classes. I'm not a huge wine drinker, as I only enjoy sweet wines, but I find them informative and entertaining. Plus, the staff that leads those classes are always upbeat, excited and passionate about what they're teaching. Now for the valleys. The managers here have displayed some pretty pushy sales tactics, sometimes going as far as insulting us on our choices as to what to purchase. We never spend under $50 when we come here, and they are often pushing Total Wine- crafted options at a much lower price point. That aspect alone has converted me to a shopper who chooses to solely use the app for my purchases. My husband still goes inside from time to time. Now, the bottom bun of my compliment sandwich is the recent addition of cannabis- derived beverages or Delta 8 & Delta 9 drinks. They're a nice alternative to alcohol for those of us who like to "indulge".
