I wish I could rate this higher bc I love to support small businesses, but this place does not deserve anything more than 2 stars. From the moment my friends and I walked in and told to seat ourselves and we walked towards the patio, we were instantly greeted with a very rude server yelling at us across the room that patio service was closed and she won't be serving to us there, which is literally fine but we had just walked in and never been there before so how would we know that? Also like hello not even a "welcome in guys" or anything? That blonde server had an attitude with us from the jump, and talked to us in a very snarky and sarcastic way it felt like we walked into one of those restaurants where the waitresses are rude to you on purpose. My friends and I were respectful and gave her zero reason for her to act like that, we were just looking for seating for the 6 of us, god forbid we try and give you business??? My group felt so uncomfortable with her off the bat but because it was late and other restaurants were closing we decided to stay because we were hungry. Unfortunately the food did not make up for the terrible service. We got the Pazzo Pollo and the Capri pizzas, the Capri was better but the crust was a little too crispy while the chicken pizza was soggy and falling apart just by picking it up. It just wasn't a satisfying pizza for either of them and for $30 it was disappointing. Our rude server forgot our friends drinks and when we reminded her she gave my friend a very sarcastic smirk and fake apology and it just added to the terrible experience we had with her. No water refills, no check ins, just sarcastic and fake/forced kindness once she caught on that we were not vibing with her back. I usually try to give servers the benefit of the doubt as I used to work in the service industry, but her behavior and attitude with us for literally no reason was absolutely unacceptable. This was the worst dining experience we've had in a very long time and we will never come back and will definitely NOT recommend Pazzos to our friends because of this. It's also a shame that 20% gratuity is automatically added for parties 6+ because she was not deserving of a single cent. read more

Really great pizzas, calzones, and salads in Eastlake. Pazzo's is a local pizza joint a few blocks from our house. It's one of those places we have had on our list to eat and we finally made it happen. I will flat out say the pizza was amazing!!! I've seen some mixed reviews and I can't believe it. Every review should be a 5 star! I've tried many pizzas in Seattle, almost every location and Pazzo's is definitely on the high end scale of pizzas. It's delicious but also very affordable. Many of these pizza places downtown try to charge like 25+ for a mediocre pizza it's ridiculous. The BBQ chicken pizza is mouth watering! Pair it with a nice red wine and BOOM, transcending. Came here for happy hour on a weekday. Pretty chill location and the prices are pretty good. Got a slice of pizza and a large caesar salad. The salad was pretty good, lettuce felt fresh and they didn't put too much or too little dressing. Also got a slice of pepperoni pizza that was also decent. Was a little too chewy though. So let me just say that Pazzo's is everything I miss about my hometown pizza place, and have been searching to replace ever since I moved to Seattle. It's definitely got a local watering hole vibe and I mean that as a compliment. The service is a little hit or miss the few times I've done take out. Just little miscommunications between the person taking the order and the people making the food, nothing major. I get the feeling the service is very homey and on point when you dine in. I've had their chance bread which isn't on menu anymore but they made it anyways and it was delish. I've also had the pazzos bread, pepperoni black olive pizza, and green salad. All hit the spot. I've been going here for years and I'm not sure I've ever had a pizza! The calzones are legit. Massive with a crispy dome and chewy crust. I'm personally a fan of the Sinatra - juicy roasted chicken, vibrant pesto, artichoke hearts, peppers, and LOADS of gooey cheese. So good, and reheats well in the oven if you too can only finish half because it's giant. Tip: I think they'll make any pizza as a calzone. I'm also a fan of the meatball bomb. I live nearby and I love stopping by for a happy hour pizza and beer. Also a great spot to catch a sports game if something is on, or just sit around and catch up with friends. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating! Plenty of space at the bar and with small tables all around, including an outdoor patio. I usually love Pazzos however tonight was the worst service and food ever. Sat down waiter took our orders. Very soon we received our salads, while we patiently waited for our drinks. Felt very rushed. Took a really long time to get drinks. Bar and restaurant was very slow. Drinks finally came and one drink order was wrong .Manager came over and we told her what was happening. She comped our bread ($5.00). Felt she could have done more. It was a special occasion, felt bad for the waiter he was young and brand new. I stopped by this pizza joint/bar while I was visiting Seattle. It is a neighborhood place with decent food and nice servers. Service can be slow at times but they make a good lemon drop to help pass the time. It's a fun place to hang out with the locals and watch sports. I even saw some of the local dogs doing tricks for treats (George was my favorite). Myserver Taylor was really fun. I am here a few more days and I will be back. Here it is the next day and I am back again. Ok. Taylor is off Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not the same place without her. Drinks good still service not as good. read more

Solid, causal pizza place. Ambiance is nice if you are looking for a chill place to hang out with friends/family and grab some satisfactory pizza. They didn't bat an eye about letting us bring our dog in either which was great! The calzones are good but the shape surprised me. I actually really enjoyed them, they were just a nice pipping hot bundle of creamy and tasty joy. The side salad they come with had a nice dressing too. Supposedly the salad is to have tomatoes on it but that didn't happen. The pizzas were so-so. The sauce was tasty. I'd say a tad overpriced for size but good. Service was great. I'd happily come back to Pazzo's to dine in or take out a pizza or two! We wanted pizza but also wanted to eat in front of our TV so called Pazzo's and were able to order a large pie to go very easily. The woman on the phone was friendly and helped me pick which signature pie to try. We went with the Miguel, a pie that has both Gorgonzola and mozzarella, red sauce, and topped with pepperoni, red peppers, onions and basil. For the two of us for one generously sized meal, the large pie was more than enough. When cut, we each had 4 slices and I felt pretty full after 3. The crust was crunchy and flavorful, the pizza itself was a flavor bomb with the two cheeses mingling perfectly with the other toppings. It was really good takeout pizza and I'd assume that it would be even better piping hot from the oven Definitely plan ahead though if you want an order to go - on a Friday night it took 45 mins for one our pizza to be done. AMBIANCE: I genuinely like the layout of Pazzo's. With comfortable and heavy tables, great chairs and the wooden floors, it's a favorite place to simply sit for hours. They provided free WiFi for customers who simply like to enjoy time to dine and study, either alone or in small groups. I've seen people take laptops and watch films while dinning, which seems odd, but cozy. They love to use candles and I can't say enough about how much I love the atmosphere. The client are always polite and never obnoxious, so it makes for a great neighborhood pizza parlor. FOOD: Unfortunately, this might be where we take a slight downturn. The pizzas are typically sized, but are just not anything memorable that you would go out of your way to order. Even lesser in quality are their pasta dishes and salads. It pains me to say it, but I've never been anything but underwhelmed with the style, presentation or quality of the dishes. The calzones are small and soggy, the salads I've had twice have not been fresh and were obviously thrown together quite carelessly, much to my disappointment. If I were ranking pizza for Seattle, I'd have to give them a D+ for being edible, but lacking in great taste for the price. I definitely thing the quality of food does not justify the prices. SERVICE: Most of the time the service is very slow and the waitresses aren't typically interested in understanding the relationship of good service equalling excellent tips. When my mother came to town for a visit, she asked to try Pazzo's since it was in the neighborhood within walking distance and she printed a coupon, which the waitress really didn't want to accept, despite it being valid. "We get docked if you being in a coupon." I wasn't buying it and that was quite frankly the last time I wanted to visit. I should mention that the first time I ever ordered pick-up from Pazzo's was for a calzone and I was told to arrive in 20 minutes. I was told it would be another 15 minutes when I arrived, so I returned only to be turned away a second time. All total, I waited 40 minutes with for the item to be presented for takeout with no apology for the long wait. I actually had to mention it to the manager, which I hate doing simply because I made three trips from my place to theirs to pick it up. I would rank the atmosphere at a solid 4 stars, but food at a two and service at zero. Hence, I can't justify a high rating based on the later two. Sorry, Pazzo's...I tried to like you. Super psyched to have found another awesome happy hour place within walking distance to our place! Pazzo Happy hour: $3 well drinks and $3 draft beers (with a pretty excellent selection of local brews and not swill like coors or bud). $6 foods: garlic/cheese bread, fresh mozzerella plate (caprese style), mini pizza and salad. All in all, a pretty sweet deal! Hours: 3-6pm daily and late night Sun-Thur! Ordered: mozzerella plate it was super delish! Ain't nothin better than fresh mozzo plus some tasty kalamata olives (even my bf who hates olives ate a bunch!) Sicillian Calzone to share for two people was a great portion per person. The smell was orgasmic. Roasted garlic, saltiness, cheese. Oddly, the smell was more flavorful than the taste, but it might have been because it was undersalted. We flew into Seattle late so it was great that it was one of the few places that was open at 12.30am. Ordered the Miguel pizza and the Sinatra calzone. I did not try the pizza but my boyfriend said it was good. I devoured the calzone. Too full after that to try the small salad that comes with it. I probably won't ever be back. I went in during lunch break and waited by the bar for a good few minutes before anyone helped me. There were a total of maybe 6 people in the entire restaurant. Even after making eye contact with the hostess and cook, I still didn't receive any service, so I grabbed a menu myself and went straight to the bar and gave the cook my order. The hostess was in and out of the restaurant and didn't acknowledge I was there until the owner came in. The owner "officially" took my order and was extremely friendly. Ordered a personal slice (mushroom and pepperoni) with a side Caesar. Both were disappointing. I love pizza and have very low standards b/c you can't really go wrong, but they went wrong. Collective review for a handful of lunches this year. Pazzo's has been an Eastlake fixture seems like forever...at least dating back to the early to mid 1990s for me. This is a find for lunch with ample street parking and decent food, especially if you want to escape the lunch bunch crowds in the UDistrict, Fremont, or South Lake Union. I enjoy the pizza slice offerings w/ wow ginormous salads, plus calzone selections are terrific too. Good if you want to actually feel relaxed and have a conversation, hit or miss with water/soda refills though. Seems one gets better service with proximity to the bar. Still a decent find if you don't want to spend a lot at nearby sandwichy, fusion, Italian, and Thai places. One can eat at Pazzo's and still have enough to splurge on a coffee at nearby Voxx. read more

Pizza isn't bad, and I enjoy having a local pizza place in the neighborhood. We would probably frequent this place bi-monthly if we didn't have consistently bad experiences. We live within walking distance and have been here a handful of times over the past couple years but nearly every time something bizarre has happened with the service. It has gotten to the point that we usually go out of our way and walk the 3/4 mile past Pazzo's and go to Pagliaccis for pizza instead of dealing with the headache: All things that have happened on different trips: 1. A waitress went on break for a half hour after taking our order but BEFORE bringing us our beers. What!? 2. The time we waited 1hr & 45 minutes for pizza because the guy making the pizza was new. (The place was dead, btw.) 3. The time everyone around us is getting their pizzas and we finally ask when ours is coming out after an hour of waiting and we get notified the waitress forgot to put our order in. Again, it wasn't busy and it should have been pretty obvious that something was up since there were only 5 tables total. 4. My boyfriend orders a calzone that was some sort of meat-lovers version with 3 kinds of meat. It ends up coming with no meat at all. Based on our previous experiences with long order wait times, he just eats it vs. waiting another hour for the right one. To their credit, they are usually apologetic and we have ended up getting comped part or all of our bill without asking, but it's just not worth the risk for us to keep trying this place after so many fails. So my advice to anyone who wants to try Pazzo's: maybe bring your kindle and come when you aren't hungry yet, knowing you will get pizza, eventually. We haven't had bad luck ordering pizza for pick up, so there is that. read more
