Smash Burger. Condiments were quite good.

I'm not a huge fan of their beer, but I had the $8.99 smash burger today and it was very good. Good, friendly service. Interior is good for groups.

Very casual bar vibe. A bit on the expensive side for the decent bar food. Also a bit surprised by the required 20% service fee with large groups as you must order at the bar and service if fairly minimal otherwise.

Took a group here during happy hour after class. Fun times and enough seating for our group of 12. Proprietor is a funny chill guy. He popped in to say hi to our table. Food was great- get the fries! Thanks for having the space for a great conversation and a fond memory. Can't wait to make more!

I've been visiting the Big Time on and off for about 25 years. In the past few years it has become my remote living room. The bar staff are smart, fun, and extremely hard working - I've seen some of them jump in to help out when the place gets slammed even when it's their day off. The kitchen staff are also fantastic. The food is some of the best pub fare in town, let alone on the Ave. The pizza dough is proper, the burgers are huge, and I'm nearly addicted to the pork tacos. The beer is, obviously, the key draw. The Big Time is Washington State's oldest continuously operating independent brewery and all their product is made on site. Regular options include the iconic Scarlet Fire IPA, and the Coal Creek Porter, with lots of season options and variety to suit almost any beer palate. The Wednesday evening Trivia Night is also extremely popular. Also, the owners are super-cool. (Full disclosure - they named a beer after me.)

Perfect place except they should add chocolate cake or brownies to the menu. The pizza is good. Don't go to trivia on tuesday or else it will be harder for me to get a table

Big Time Brewing Company is a casual place on the Ave near the University of Washington Seattle to enjoy happy hour with friends, but that's all it really is. Came here for a happy hour event and we ordered some pizzas (cheese and veggie), French fries, and chips with salsa. They were extremely average. There wasn't much service either, no water was brought to us and nobody came to check in on us. There is only street parking available. There are gendered restrooms, but they are freezing cold inside during the winter. The water to wash your hands with is also freezing cold. I probably wouldn't come here again.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

By the time we had dinner, although hungry, it was past 8 and we needed to eat a little lighter and mostly had apps, so not sure how light that meal really was. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Because it was a bit cold, my younger sister got the fried chicken ramen. Fried chicken was not chicken katsu but fried chicken. The chicken was a bit salty while the ramen had a good amount of spice to it. Ramen broth was really good, especially on a cold night for me being from Hawaii. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the cheese perogies. I enjoy perogies and haven't had any while on this trip to Seattle so a bit of a bummer. It was more like cheese ravioli. However best part of dinner was having the family together. And we ended the night on a good note. And the staff, so sweet. We appreciate you all for accommodating our family.
