The roasted corn files pizza - Seattle pizza week 2025
Charlotte G.

I came to this cute little pizza spot for Seattle pizza week. Their featured pie had corn on it which I thought was a different twist that I had never tried before on pizza. The pies were on the smaller side but I still was able to share one between two people. I'd definitely come here again if I were in the area.

Yummy thin crust pizza! I wanted some slices to go, and they had cheese, pizza, and combo on the day that went. I got 2 combo slices to go and it was great! I'm looking forward to going again and trying more slices dine in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely more of a place to come in and try as a group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, the person that helped me was nice and helped me as soon as I came in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean and welcoming as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall not a bad spot, we accidentally came during their trivia time on Tuesday an it was almost completely full by the time we left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ended up playing and got a free beer but got a root beer instead. Service was pretty nice, I did go up the counter to ask the workers what the slice of the day was and she said she'd answer back at our booth which I found a little odd. Besides that everyone was nice. We just got one pizza which was perfect for 2 people. We bought thought the margherita was the better one and it was pretty good, wish it had more basil on it tho. The el pastor was fine, the meat on it said it was chorizo but I thought it tasted more like Chinese sausage and they were cut really thick so that was Interesting. I also thought the crust overall wasn't very good, tasted kinda flat. Overall not a bad pizza spot if you want a drink or wanna go to trivia, but I'd never come here just for the food specifically

3.5 Stars Thin crust, wood-fired style pizza. The pepperoni pizza ($25) is show-stopping with two different shapes of pepperonis including the little ones that curl up into little bowls of grease mmmmm! I am not sure whether I am just sensitive to pepperoni but it was so, so salty to me. The crust was nice and thin and crispy-burnt though. I would like to try some of the other creative sounding flavors (carbonara whaaat?) We also got the burrata ($17) and it was lovely. Fresh creamy burrata served with seasonal accompaniments (sour cherries and nuts in this case) and crunchy crostinis. Coolest Vibes inside! Dive bar-esque but not dirty like one. Staff was so nice and accommodating.

Wow, what an above & beyond experience at Jackson Street Pizza Lounge. The bar was filled with friendly faces, catchy music and scents of Italy. We were seated within 15 minutes but they took our drink orders while we swayed. Three of us split a pizza and two appetizers. The burrata is made in house and its milky texture pairs perfectly with buttery bites of Crostini. Ours sat on a vegetable medley with notes of truffle. The pizza is some of the best I've had in Seattle and the meatballs soft and juicy. The drinks were strong and the artwork only added to the energy in the lounge. We will be back and if we're lucky, regulars! Shout out to Archer & Donald for such great service!

The first time I came here about a month ago excellent service and excellent food. This is the 2nd time coming here.....pizza was ok, and the service was annoying. Pay $100 for pizza 2 cokes and 1 ranch please don't act like we are a burden. I'm in service and I know folks have a bad day. But damn leaving a tip tonight makes me UPSET. But since we are POC I will never allow others to create a stigma that we don't tip for service/poor service. We weren't happy with the top pizza. Total misunderstanding, if I were the manager I would have allowed the customer to re-order something else. Or give another option. I doubt I will come back. I'm sure our money will be appreciated elsewhere

Warm, crispy, pillowy soft, sweet but not overpowering- I woke up the next day still thinking about them. 20/10. Order 2 of them, you will thank yourself later. The Pork Chop was huge and juicy. Pear chutney on top was a winner. The owner was a cool cat who circulated the room and engaged guests the waitresses were knowledgeable and attentive. Playlist: vibes. Unapologetically Black space. Love, love, love it. This is a can't miss stop next time ur in Seattle.

Had an awesome dinner at Communion last Sunday. Parking was challenging to say the least. There was…read morean underground parking lot across the street but it belongs to the apartment building apparently so we had to find parking several streets away. Started the meal with Sweet Potato Hoe Cake. This had cornbread like texture but felt softer, smoother, quite moist with a sweet honey butter syrup base. BBQ Shrimp tasted out of this world delicious: very fresh head/tail on shrimp cooking in garlic butter, Metier coconut porter. The good to the last drop sauce had bold flavors although quite salty, just perfect for dipping the focaccia in. Unc's Wing was equally endearing: rubbed in a 13-spice blend, with perfect crispness and plump, juicy flesh beneath the coating. Butter-basted cabbage was a rare treat: basted with butter that accentuates the sweetness of caramelized cabbage. Miso butter sauce a great match. The drink I ordered was less intriguing: Kinfolk (bourbon, Jamaican, rum, Cynar, and pecan liqueur) was bourbon heavy, very balanced nonetheless just not memorable. The chocolate truffle was the only item we did not enjoy: it had hard shell and very dense filling.
