I went to the farmers market and was looking for a nice quiet place to enjoy lunch, something diff than burgers or tacos, well this place hit the spot, the flavors of the food were amazing and the atmosphere was welcoming, it is a family run business, I felt very welcome, if you are looking to try something new give these folks a a shot, the chicken along w the sauce that comes w it was full of flavor!! Tip the egg rolls are way yummy and their sandwiches are to die for.

Finally I tasted the goodness of PB & Jimmy's in Downtown chico! The hours is a hit miss 11-2 Wed-Saturday so if you miss it sorry‍. So in Hawaii they have manapua and I saw this ad of this place but it's baked kine manapua made from Japanese milk bread! Met the owners very nice ppl customer service and food quality is a plus for this helper. It was literally 10:59am and I'm calling the guy guided me and at 11:10 I'm eating. I had the baked pork bun and a rolled hotdog with a green tea hawaiian sun (Yum). I'm glad I finally made it to try this place out I do recommend this restaurant if your just wanting a quick bite fresh making to your order if your in Chico. They also owners of a Sushi Bar in chico(my next too try cause I love raw fish in sushi.

Sticky rice with crispy pork belly and yummy green dipping sauce

Sometimes when I'm missing home I come here, which can be quite often. I was born in Southeast Vietnam and moved to the states when I was a little over 6 years old. The food is impeccable and reminds me of my late dad's cooking. The green sauce provided with the pork belly is something my sisters could definitely make! I come to PB&Jimmys because of the quality of food and service I receive !! it's amazing to me that there is finally a south East Asian restaurant in Chico! I've been here for the past 5/6 years and I was planning on moving back home after I graduate from Chico state but now I'm not so sure because I absolutely love this place. Make sure to check it out.

Spicy chicken and pork sando with Vietnamese papaya salad.

Wow! The sando sandwiches were absolutely amazing! I am simply impressed, and I already have plans to come back. Can't wait to try other items on their menu.

Sticky rice and pork belly, spicy chicken katsu sandwich and a Hmong sausage.

They are famous for their Poké bowl, but we only did sushi this time (my willpower deserves recognition).. The edamame was excellent and their miso soup is still one of my favorites anywhere. It just tastes different... richer and more intentional than the usual versions. I'm a huge saba fan and theirs was exactly why I keep coming back... clean, fresh and done right. My kid had the tataki and it was the same story there, super fresh and gone in about thirty seconds. We also had the Gilroy (yum) Japanese Cowboy, Red Dragon, Hibachi Sunset and Lotus Cobra. The Lotus Cobra is one of those rolls you order once and then it just becomes part of your future. The ambiance is probably my favorite in Chico. It's one of those places where you can have a great meal and some top tier people watching at the same time. Service is always solid, friendly without being fake, and everything from the dining area to the bathrooms is consistently clean. I'll just say it... I wish we had a place like this back on the Mendocino Coast. Until then, this is always going to be my Chico sushi stop. If you like fresh fish, good energy and a place that just feels dialed in, Rawbar is hard to beat.

The wait wasn't too bad, and once we got to the counter, the staff was super friendly and happy to help. Since it was our first visit, we asked for recommendations. The cashier suggested the Tropical Breeze, and it was fantastic. My husband got the Frosted Chocolate Chai and really enjoyed it too. The drinks were definitely one of the highlights of our visit. I was a little bummed to find out that all of the frosted drinks are dairy-based, and there weren't any dairy-free blended options available. It would be great to see a few alternatives for people with dietary restrictions. I ordered a protein bowl, and it was fresh, filling, and loaded with good ingredients. The chicken was a little dry, but overall it was still very tasty. I'd love to see more dressing options that are both dairy-free and gluten-free. The biggest downside was the parking and seating situation. Parking was a challenge, and the indoor seating area felt pretty crowded. After the lunch rush, there were several tables that still needed to be cleaned, which made it harder for people to find a place to sit. The outdoor patio was nice, but there wasn't a lot of shaded seating. Overall, we had a really nice visit. The food was fresh, the drinks were great, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to deal with the parking and limited seating if I lived nearby, I'm glad we stopped in and would recommend giving it a try, especially for the drinks and friendly service.
