We drove down to check out their selection and were Andrew was able to pick out a beautiful 7-foot Noble fir for us that looks amazing in our home. Andrew even delivered it the next morning and helped put it up. Their prices are very reasonable, and they were such nice guys to help us out. I highly recommend groups of 5-9 people to participate in this awesome chunky blanket class. Parking is better 2 blocks away in the residential neighborhood, and free. After our chunky blanket class, we shopped their awesome jewelry bar. They have so many beautiful earrings and charm bracelets. Ahead of time we all picked out what we wanted to make, and what we wanted to the design to look like. When we arrived there's a couple of tables all setup with our project we picked out all ready for us. We get a little schpeal about what kind of paint to pick and then we can pick out our colors and get to work. It was so much fun and so easy (I'm not creative, but was very easy to follow the stencils). We also brought our own food and drinks and while our paint was drying we could walk around and munch and chat with everyone. I have already been chatting with my girlfriends about coming back to do an event together.

This is the second year we've visited the Family Christmas Tree Farm looking for a Christmas tree last minute. Same as last year, we were not sure if we were going to get a Christmas tree since years past it has been an ordeal purchasing, transporting, cutting and placing the tree. But my hesitation is mainly that I'm in an arm cast second holiday/Christmas season in a row, making it extremely difficult for me to help out and leaving all the hard work to hubs. I'm so blessed he's all mine! I love Christmas and of course need a Christmas tree regardless of the situation... so when I say, let's go take a look and see what trees they have, the hubs is all aboard! Located out in El Cajon it is not terribly far away, about 20 min give or take. Each time we've visited, it's been in the evening, not extremely packed busy, a consistent flow of customers coming and going. Our first visit, I didn't know what to expect. It's not a huge Christmas tree farm, big enough to have a good selection of different trees of all sizes. Pre-cut and cut your own. I don't know what it is, maybe under the evening light, the snow flocked trees stood out like a shining star! Two years in a row, we bought a snow flocked tree, last year a Douglas fir, this year a Noble fir and both at an incredible price! Granted, it was the week before Christmas, the trees were both only $99! I loved our first tree last year, but I love this year's tree even more! We came, we saw, I found my perfect tree in under 10 minutes! We both walked around the cut trees and I just knew which one I wanted, but we both made sure there wasn't another that looked better. About 7-8' tall, he was fluffy, evenly spaced branches, perfectly straight center stem at top, he was the one! The process was super simple and fast, all done and ready to go home with 5 minutes! We took our tree tag and paid for it. Next we found an employee that removed the base (optional rebar stand if you want to keep it), bagged our tree and placed it in our car (Tesla MY) and it fit perfectly! We trimmed the trunk base and up it went! With some minor adjustments, we had our Christmas tree all set up! Smoothest year so far! This year's tree was perfect! Absolutely gorgeous! Simply the best! "U pick" sunflowers and a pumpkin patch. Lots of photo ops with other fall/pumpkin arrangements. Julian Apple cider for sale. A hayride. The city does have free Christmas tree recycling drop off locations, however, my luxury vehicle is not ideal for hauling a tree. I searched endless hours online and could not find anyone that would haul a Christmas tree for a reasonable price (under $100) until I discovered California Christmas Tree Recyclers. I reserved my pick-up online on New Years day (yesterday) and was contacted in less than 30 minutes with a price quote and pickup date and time. I just had the tree picked up today, and can now breathe a little easier with that whole issue over and done with. More stuff to see and do than Bates Nut Farm. I truly wish there was more crowd control with the tickets for the event because it became hard to enjoy after 10am. Like maybe maxing out the event tickets would have been nicer for each time slot. I will plan to be back for the next trucks event definitely!

You can really tell how much care goes into maintaining the farm and creating a welcoming environment. My little one had the best time exploring and interacting with everything. It's one of those places that feels both relaxing and engaging, which is hard to find. I do wish the playground areas were open daily because they're such a highlight and would make it even more of a go-to spot during the week. Overall, we absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back
