My first impressions was that this place was a bit over priced and you can get the same from big box stores. While this is kinda true for the most basic stuff (fans, parts without stock issues, etc) getting something that's in high demand has been a huge pain in the ass at Best Buy, Amazon, etc. I just wanted to add myself on a waitlist from day 1 and wait. None of the random lottery crap or literally camping overnight on the street like a bum. I have a life and I'm willing to wait a reasonable amount of time. I'd rather spend the extra hundred or so to help a small business than spend hours of my time standing in line, constantly refreshing, and ruining my sleep because our time zone makes it hard to actually buy things when they drop. My time isn't worth saving the cost difference. Pc Gamerz actually had a waitlist I only had to sign up for one time (not having to keep adding myself at 3am Hawaii time like Newegg shuffle lol) and pay the REFUNDABLE deposit. Then the owner (I think) texts and emails with stock updates and priority first come first serve for waitlisters. I didn't get mine for MSRP but it's several hundred dollars less than the lowest eBay listing. So above MSRP but below market price so IMO it's a great deal. None of the bullshit "bundle parts you don't need" crap either. It's optional and discounted if ur building a new pc but they don't force people which is great. With covid happening, I understand the importance of small business and PC Gamerz managed to get me a high demand GPU at a reasonable price. Not these multi million/billion dollar store fronts, but a small business in Hawaii. I would totally check this place out in person if I had a car or lived closer! I highly suggest anyone who isn't looking for the absolute lowest price to come here and check it out. This is an awesome place to play online games and be in an environment with fellow gamers. My teenagers love to play League of Legends and they have been doing so for about a year. They play with their friends online and have built up some pretty strong characters. We heard of random tournaments going on here on Thursdays so my kids wanted to check out the place before deciding to join in. We walked in and were immediately greeted by friendly workers. My kids signed up for accounts and started playing. Apparently there are faster computers in the front and slower ones in the middle/back. Log in was easy and they were very impressed at the choice of games they could play. There are tons of snacks and drinks for sale and reasonably priced. I had to knock off a star because this place allows vaping. There are no vape free zones. My kids said their eyes and throats were getting irritated and they came home smelling like cotton candy. Bought the Catalyst PC here. For $1,250 you cut all the Time and frustration and get a good PC that will run 20 RuneScape accounts at the same time. Came here twice and was very happy both times. There's a fridge with all sorts of refreshments to purchase right by the door. The environment is pretty neat, I think every single keyboard in there is a light up. Staff is super friendly. They're willing to help with anything. Just let them know what's going on and they'll do their best to help you make the most of your time. People here are well mannered. The vaping wasn't really an issue given how considerate people are about it. They were quick to apologize when they noticed and really cool about being more careful if I let them know their clouds were coming my way. i had an alienware aurora r7. basically in the middle of my gaming, the bluetooth driver stopped working and uninstalled itself. the following week, the graphics card crapped out. within hours, it wouldn't even boot up. it constantly kept restarting itself. i originally contacted devin to fix my tower. but i had seen a post that he was building a tower and it would be ready on monday. it was cute (pink and white) although pink isn't my color. it was an immediate buy which i needed. anyway asked him about that as well. he helped me with all the questions i had and explained in full detail of what i was getting even though i didn't understand. he asked what was my budget so he could stay within that budget which is good! although i didn't really have one. i asked what the difference was about my tower and the one he was building and told me straight up, my graphics card was better than the one he put in. but he could change it out for an even better one than the alienware if i was willing to pay. which i was, so he did. but he didn't lie and bullshit to me which i'm sure other people would, just for the business. he installed cod and league for me and chrome. and when i got the computer i noticed steam and discord was installed as well. like bonus!!!! he changed the default background to pcg which i don't mind. i usually don't change my background so that will be my new background. the tower also has RGB and every gamer knows RGB increases fps. the tower didn't come with bluetooth, so i asked how can i get bluetooth. and he offered to install it with the part i needed (just gotta pay for the part) but that was a mistake on my end since we didn't ask for the wifi plus bluetooth install at first. anyway.. devin is just fucking amazing. cod had a big ass update tonight and asked if he would update it in his store because it was showing that it would take like 10 hours for me in my house and he said he would help me out. i would highly recommend buying any tower or parts or going here in general. i would buy again if i had more funds. definitely in the future to upgrade. they also hands down agreed with me that RGB increases FPS . Let me first start off by saying that I am not the type to write reviews and it takes a lot to please me. I recently had issues with my desktop which I've had since 2009. I contacted Devin asking him if he could diagnose my problem and help fix it. Unfortunately, it was the computer's time to go and finally needed to be replaced. Devin offered to help me by building one from scratch based on what my purpose and budget was. We discussed what I wanted in the computer and within a few days all the parts were in. It took him only a day to assemble everything and now I'm writing this review on it. Upon receiving the computer from Devin, he thoroughly explained in detail everything he had done to better enhance the performance and longevity of the system. I couldn't be happier with this build...it tops everything that I could've bought from Best Buy, but at a cheaper price. I highly recommend getting a custom made computer built at PC Gamerz versus buying one already pre-made. I bought a custom system from PC Gamerz and it is amazeballs. After I got the quote, I went through several "build your own" PC sites and checked all the prices and the individual item reviews. In short, it will always be cheaper to build your own PC - but it was SO worth it to have it put together by the professionals! Perfect cable management, all systems working optimally, no need find and install random drivers - they even installed all the apps that I said I used frequently (provided that it was permissible/legal to do so). Now, I have a fantastic, top end, high performance gaming rig - that is as good (if not better) than what I would have put together myself AND it's beautiful AND I have a warranty AND I have tech support AND it works perfectly AND I didn't have to have everything shipped, hope that it's not broken, and unpack it and wonder what I was messing up and "WHAT IS THAT NOISE?!" and all the other things that happen every time I've built it myself. 100% recommend. Oh. Also they are pretty cool in general and communicated well. Listened to what I wanted and what I used my rig for - and then made suggestions that created an even better system! I was able to get a quote and recommendation from the crew there. I was able to make my purchase and head on home. We have purchased two computers from PC Gamerz. After a power outage one of them wouldn't connect to the Ethernet. I called them at 8:30pm on a Friday night and not only did they answer but they spent 25 mins on the phone with me helping me resolve the issue. Most of the time was on me moving slow but they were very patient and didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing all of the technical terms and how to troubleshoot it on my own. Headphones, beverages inline with the gaming crowd (Monster, soda, etc.) are there, along with help provided by the attentive staff. I really like this place because it has a great selection of pc parts on island. I went in and bought a new processor and motherboard since the new processors changed chipsets. Where it goes downhill is when I went home to install my new parts. I wasn't told that the cpu would not come with a cooling fan, and my last fan wouldn't fit the motherboard. So I drive back from Ewa beach to buy a cooler.got home again and the cooler won't fit. Go back to the store and learn that nothing in their store will fit because it needs a $10 bracket. I would be less upset if I knew this before my purchase and before I tore my computer down on my now gameless weekend. read more

I was looking to put a computer together for a while now but with parts getting harder to find. The amount of different variables that go into finding parts that work together the best, getting all the bios and programs set up and running, I felt a lot more comfortable having someone with a lot more knowledge put it together and know it's done right the first time. One of the biggest things that persuaded me to go with PC gamerz was the warranty they offer on parts and labor. Fast forward about 5 months after they built me my computer I had issues with my 3080. I figured they would just take it out and send it out for warranty and call me to pick up my computer and gpu when it comes back and everything done and I'd be out of a computer for a few weeks. Instead they loaned me a gpu for the time being while my 3080 was out for warranty, they even installed the loaner and got me all set up in about 10 minutes so I still can use my computer while my 3080 is out for warranty! My son needed a computer that could handle editing video, 3D printing, school and of course some gaming. I am not comfortable enough to build it on our own so we checked out PcGamerz. We did an in person consult since we didn't know the process and had questions. We ended up ordering a custom build. The process was very easy and we got our questions answered. In a bit we got a text saying the build was starting and in a couple weeks, we got the text that it's ready. We met with Kawika, took care of the paperwork and got a quick demo and loaded it up. (We forgot to ask to see the dog Ryzen). Plug and play, once I got it hooked up to our network. I won't lie, it was a pretty penny, but I truly believe well with it. And then the night before we picked up the computer, they were on the news about what they do in the community. They have employees that were homeless and they trained them and even hoses them. My family and I just moved here from Georgia and are staying in a hotel for the next few months. The internet at the hotel is horrid. This is the best PC place on Hawaii. Went here to ask some questions about upgrading my PC and come to find out, PC Gamerz was the only place that doesn't scalp their prices for parts. After talking to the people there, I ended up being put on a waitlist for a 3060 GPU. Which was sold to me at normal value. I was ecstatic. I came back a week later to get a new motherboard. I am not knowledgeable on anything PC related and I walked out with a new motherboard that wasn't able to fit in my case. I came back knowing I opened up the motherboard and probably wouldn't get a refund. The owner immediately saw that I made a mistake. Took his own personal time to look up the exact parts that I needed for my PC, and did a one-for-one swap for the correct part.
