But when I want something special, this is the place. Christmas Eve at our house usually involves crab cakes and salad, scallops and white wine, crusty bread, etc. This is where we fill the cart. We haven't quite lived up to the Italian tradition of the feast of the seven fishes; I usually manage four or five fishes, but this is where we get them. This year the menu was shrimp bisque, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes and scallops. Plus a few Fran's salted caramels as a stocking stuffer. No photos this time. You have to use your imagination.

Experiences like this can have a lasting impact on customer loyalty. I support sharing this feedback, especially since Stephanie--the owner--isn't likely to witness these interactions firsthand. They should be changing the trays in the hot bar every few hours to maintain the fresh look and they should get rid of the old burned food. They also serve the same soup everyday. It's never fresh after 2 pm. They also used to have some nice potato soup and they stopped serving it. It's the sane few soups everyday. I just don't think the people that work in that department are happy to be there. I got screamed at one day when I asked when a fresh chicken will be out and he told that there are still chicken out there with anger when there was only two pieces of dry chicken setting there. Terrible way to talk to customers. I am hoping they can do something about the hot food bar and soup selections soon.

It has however changed over the time, the staff don't seem friendly, I've walked in a couple times and just been fully glared at by staff in the front. Bathrooms are dirty and it's pretty sticky floors. There is also workers smoking on the side of Safeway outside right by the Handicap, no issue with smoking, but they are ALWAYS lingering around where customers are walking to the car. There is also homeless people always out front where you enter 124th street. Other than that, the selection is great, there is a Starbucks in the store as well, and the produce is fresh. Parking is plentiful and easy. And the location is right on a busy stretch of NE 85th Street that is close to I-405. The customer service was great. I had mistakenly picked up the wrong box of berries that were not on sale and told the self-checkout clerk that I would run back to the produce area to grab the right ones. When I came back, the clerk offered to ring my groceries up herself. I really appreciate how she went above and beyond. Little gestures like this help to rebuild customer loyalty.

You can choose from a variety of fishes as well. They were pretty fresh and yummy. The guy working there was really nice. He had a lot of advice and suggestions. I've been to this Fred Meyer multiple times, and I always enjoy coming here. The store itself is gigantic, you can find everything from clothing to fresh fruits, veggies, snacks, and so much more. A lot of items are usually on sale, which I love. They always have great deals like "buy two, get one free," and their fruit selection is especially my favorite. They even have a Starbucks inside! The staff is really friendly, and I like that they offer multiple checkout stations. There are two different entrances, and both sides have checkout lanes, plus self-checkout options. It's always a smooth and easy process. Overall, I really enjoy my experience here at Fred Meyer.

When I shop there, I mostly concentrate on their dry goods such as sauces in jars, sweets, and easy to cook foods like frozen perogies (dumplings). Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. For me, this store doesn't serve the deli or the produce function in its name. But I do enjoy exploring their different items and choosing something new-to-me to try. That is good enough.

I then noticed that they still ripped me off by another 50% of what I should've been refunded because the clerk had to mock re-scan all the items that I bought and then applied the Discount but all that basically did was give it a different price but the actual refund that I should've received was about $30 but I only received six dollars in refund. I would never shop here again. I think everybody who is there and goes there we're very stuck up and had a bunch of attitude and I much better preferred. The Trader Joe's just down the way that was polite, kind, and respectful to their customers. It actually charged me the exact price of what everything should've been instead of jacking the price up by 20 to 50% on top of what they're posted prices were that happened at Whole Foods I give them a one star if I can give me zero, I give them that
