There's a free three hour lot off of S Front St between Main St and Elizabeth St as well. Hi Dental is actually considered out-of-network for our dental insurance, but every single member of my family hates the dentist so it was of the utmost importance to find one that we actually do love. I spoke to Kate, the receptionist, about our insurance situation. I stressed that I didn't mind a reasonable cost but that I was concerned about extreme, surprise bills. She got our information, spoke to our insurance, and was able to be very transparent about the charges that we may incur. I also received handy text reminders on my phone before our appointments. The office itself is clean and brand new. We actually lived in the same building when Hi Dental opened and I'd been eyeing it as a potential dentist for two years before mustering up the courage to bring my family. There's a restroom right off of the waiting room that's large enough to accommodate our double stroller and myself. There's also water, tea, and coffee available. My daughter enjoyed the little reading nook and kid's books. There's also free wifi available that was easy and reliable to connect to. As aforementioned, no one in my family enjoys going to the dentist. My young daughter and husband straight up hate going. My daughter refused to even open her mouth up for a dentist up until her appointment with Dr. Im. So that meant she never had a successful dentist visit until now at the age of five. I mentioned this on the paperwork new patients fill out before being seen. Dr. Im read it and had a brief chat with me before they brought my daughter back for a cleaning. I was able to stand in the hallway by the exam room and observe her appointment. I knew it'd be a home run as soon as Dr. Im offered to play something on Netflix for my daughter to watch during her appointment. Dr. Im and Kate explained everything that they were doing before they did it. A positive time at the dentist for my child is priceless because it makes my life easier. For my husband and I, Dr. Im showed us the x-rays of our teeth before doing a cleaning. My husband is an orthopod and seeing our x-rays clearly on the large flat screen tv was just a nice, quiet confirmation that Dr. Im is being honest with her suggestions for further dental care. We both found it easy to talk to her about our respective dental concerns. I also thought Dr. Im had a light, gentle touch when it came to the actual cleaning and Kate was also not overzealous with the suctioning. We got a clear breakdown of the cost of our visits and a bag of dental goodies at the end of our appointments. Dr. Im and Kate transformed our family's negative perception of dentist visits. In fact today, I went in for a cleaning and the hygienist noticed something wrong with one of my back teeth. I think it's tooth number two and she took an x-ray and it was the tooth had to come out. I had a problem with it. It was an old filling. It was dead and it was loose and let me tell you something I didn't feel anything. It was so good. The whole team was ! Lawrence Kobren and Michael Greenbaum and I have been coming here for over 5 years now. The staff here are very friendly, my hygienist is nice and very thorough, and the dentists are both good. I also never feel like they're trying to push me to do any additional work that is unnecessary and any suggestions they do make are thoroughly explained. They recently remodeled and reconfigured their waiting area and it is modern, clean, spacious, and attractive. Parking is easy and they also offer free valet service during weekdays. Located just off of Northern Blvd., the office is conveniently located and easy to reach. They accept most major insurance plans.

I just left this place feeling really uncomfortable, and totally turned off…read more I've been here before. Came in for a cleaning. Hygenist did a great job, fantastic cleaning and x-rays. Showed me exactly what is wrong with my teeth. Dr. Volk also came in, explained what I needed, and I actually agree that the treatment plan makes sense. Then I'm just left there in the chair, and then the treatment plan person comes in. I thought that it would be an estimate that I could review at home and make financial decisions over. She asks me to come into her office, I said I needed to get back to work (as I just set aside time for the appointment) she keeps talking and then says she needs to talk to Dr Volk. I wait some more. She comes up front and then asks me to come into her office anyway because 'something changed'. I let her explain for a few minutes, understand the thought process, and said that I need to digest it, but that I do take it seriously and need to check my insurance, etc. I also said that I need to get back to work. She keeps talking, saying 'lets do the cavities, etc' I said that will probably be my plan, but I need to check my finances, insurance, etc and make a plan - they are handing me an 8000 dollar treatment plan. Only after I asserted myself more (that I needed to return to work) that she relented. This literally was high-pressure used car salesman like tactics. It ruined an otherwise good experience with the hygenist and Dr Volk. I understand the urgency of the work - thats not the problem. The problem is that this office left me totally uncomfortable today. I expect that from a used car salesman, and I go in prepared for it. But not from my dentist. I even recommended them to my wife. This really stinks.
