I was genuinely very impressed with this place. Last time I tried PDQ was about 10 years ago at the Brandon location and was not impressed to say the least. I actually avoided going. But on a whim today I decided why not. And I'm so happy I did. Drastic change in the menu the spicy tenders were perfect. I'm not even a fan of waffle fries but somehow they made them so good! Me and my cousin wanted to get some food, and I never had nor heard of PDQ before so ofc this was my first choice. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwhich with a side of fries and macaroni and cheese. The meal was.... Decentttt. But it wasnt what I expected tbh. The fries were not fresh nor hot they came room temperature and tasted kinda stale like they been sitting for a while. I ordered a hot honey chicken sandwhich thinking I was going to see hot honey sauce bussing out the sides of the sandwhich but the sandwhich didn't have anything on it. I began to question if it was even hot honey. The actual sandwhich itself was pretty good but the flavor that I got was nonexistent. The macaroni was not good to me it tasted like box mac and cheese. Solid meal. Saw this place on the way to visit family and was curious about it, so I pulled up Yelp, took a look and decided to try it. The space is open and huge inside. The menu reminds me of a combination of Chick Fil A and Canes in 1. I went with the Chicken Sandwich Meal, no mayo and add Pepperjack. I thought the chicken was tasty and seasoned well. I enjoyed that it had some crispness to it, even though it could have been a bit warmer. The Fries were cooked well, but a tad overseasoned. 1/2 Cut Tea for the drink, bit it was still a little on the sweet side. Feels like this place needs a few adjustments, but in general, not a bad meal at all. read more

PDQ has a family special right now and a Bogo tender option. I bought the 12 tenders, two sides and a salad meal for $24.99. They let me get 6 grilled and 6 breaded tenders with sauces, they were out of garlic. The broccoli was great, but not mushy and well seasoned, the fries were not hot though and I through most of them away. The salad large enough for my daughter and I to share. Nice employees, very helpful when asked about menu items through drive through. Very high quality chicken and they pride themselves on that. Their sauces are made in house, my favorite is the creamy garlic! Sweet potato fries are also really good for a fast food restaurant, love that spiced marshmallow dip. It is "spiced" as in a warm, fall "spiced", not the taste of spicy. Only complaint is my Pumpkin Spice Milkshake, which is amazing, had PLENTY of strawberry pulp in it. I'm not sure how the milkshakes are made but I'd assume the machine is not regular cleaned after the previous shake is made... I am glad I am not allergic and only simple dislike strawberry seeds/pulp (or pulp of any sort), but honestly wasted my money because I did not drink it all because of the pulp present. Which is the reason for four stars. **Update: I went back to this same PDQ for the sweet potatoes fries and had the urge to ask how the milkshake machine was clean, etc because I was fighting the urge to get another pumpkin milkshake... but definitely didn't want to waste my money for it to have pulp and other leftovers in it. Coralie, working the window, explained the process to me and was very pleasant. I explained to her how I was hesitant to ask about the process and even order another milkshake after the last experience. She apologized sincerely. Coralie and Paige ensured that they cleaned the machine before they made my Pumpkin Shake and also offer to comp it because of the last experience. Have always heard this place has the best chicken sandwich and they were not really lying. The sandwiches were served hot and fresh, really tasty and spiced just right. Honestly it wasn't too bad. I went to pdq for the first time around a week ago and it was way more than I expected. You know how much people hype up Canes, but once you try it it's actaully not that good? Well PDQ is what I thought canes would taste like. The tenders are super juicy, the bread is soft, the PDQ sauce is tangy, and the fries are crisp and warm. My friend used to work here and they said the manager is a real piece of a work if yk what I mean. Overall though, the inside was nice and clean which usually is rare to find. Idk overall the food is good and stuff, there is just something missing in the location. Maybe it's the lack of hospitality but I didn't really notice that all too much. read more

The menu is limited. I had a spicy chicken sandwich meal. It came with fries and a drink. It was over ten bucks. A bit pricy for a value type combo meal, in my humble opinion. I considered a milk shake. PDQ has good milk shakes. It would've been an additional two or three bucks though. I went with the fountain drink. The sandwich wasn't good. It was spicy but it wasn't very flavorful. Not at all. A huge disappointment. I hadn't been to PDQ in a while. My previous experiences had my expectations a lot higher. The fries were very tasty for the most part. Unfortunately there was one big misshapen soggy fry. And a few tiny burnt ones also. The drink was sweet. There was a time when I thought PDQ was a step up from other fast food joints for quality and value. That time appears to have past. I will give a shout out to the decent service. The young people who were helping customers were polite and attentive, for the most part. I mean they're "kids," but they're nice. PDQ = people delivering quality They did not lie with the name and if there's one thing I love in life it's truth in advertising. They advertise quality and deliver quality. The restaurant was very clean when walking in. The staff we're all clean looking fresh smelling and happy to assist me. One of their side is fresh-cut apples. I can't tell you how fresh to apples are but I can tell you they sure are freshly cut. Because there's a lady behind a glass window cutting them right there in front of everybody. It seems like their chicken only place which is fine because I like chicken and I like eggs and I like bacon to go with my chicken and eggs. The food tasted great! I got the Hawaiian chicken sandwich. It was a lot of diversity in the flavor of the sandwich. Was put together very well I had a photogenic presentation. I was torn between their specialty, the "Fried Chicken Salad", as well as being distracted by the "Fried Chicken Strips", and the fried "Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich", which features real turkey and cranberry. Decisions, decisions.....I chose the chicken strips, and was not disappointed. They were delicious & crispy, lean boneless & tender breast meat. The breading they use is tasty and not greasy; I liked that my fingers didn't get full of grease. They came with shoestring French fries, and I had a Coke to wash it all down. I did like how their drive-thru works. One person is outside, on the ground, with a headset & ipad, taking the orders & relaying them to the inside people. This place is my go to for chicken tenders or chicken sandwiches since it's right up the street from my house. The chicken is always super juicy and has just the right crunch on the outside. One thing that is usually hit or miss are their french fries. Sometimes they come out nice and crispy and other times they come out a little soggy. They definitely need to figure out the identity of their fries. My favorite item there is the honey butter chicken sandwich. It gives a perfect mix of sweet and salty to the chicken that is unmatched in the area. I recently tried their new grilled hawaiian chicken sandwich as well. Definitely has some good flavor and the addition of the pineapple is a great touch. It can get really messy though so make sure to have some napkins handy. read more
