Had to visit the original location! Had the four piece tender meal ($9.99) and surprised they do not deliver to the table like the franchisee in Orlando does. But, considering how busy they are, that makes sense. My order was ready shortly after I paid and was hot and tasty. Thank you for bringing this concept to Florida.

So I was singing to myself here while waiting for my food , thinking no one could hear me but I was wrong. Now I'm the chicken ranch sandwich was awesome but the cashier hyping me up made the experience even better. I'm happy to see staff in such good spirits , to me that shows they are being treated nicely. Kudos pdq I love you guys

Great food. Slippery floors. I'll takeout next time. Even the grilled chicken sandwich is good. The crispy chicken of any sort is the greatest.

The best chicken place ever! Think CFA, but better! (And we worked there for yeaaaars). I personally was a huge fan of their sauces and their buns. Their teas were *chefs kiss*.

    Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich

I kept passing by this place and wanted to see if it was the local version of a Chick Fil A. It was actually pretty good! I got the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich combo. The bun was very buttery and moist. The chicken had a nice flavor to it. The waffle fries were a little too salty and not as crisp as I would like. Overall I would say this sandwich can compete with Chick Fil A but not the fries. Also friendly service is always a plus for me.

Gosh. This review is hard to write. I have always been a giant fan of PDQ. After not visiting for awhile, we headed out for a quick dinner. Honestly, it just didn't hit. The honey butter chicken sandwich and spicy chicken sandwich were both tasty and a solid 4 stars. From here it went downhill. The waffle fries were crispy well done like we like but ice cold. I ordered the Mac and cheese and it awful. It was fake bright orange with a chalky consistency. I could eat it (and I can eat anything). Bring back the zucchini fries! That was the best side ever.

Delicious fast food restaurant in South Tampa! I've been to this PDQ location in the past and always enjoyed my food, which is why I decided to write a review. I didn't go inside the restaurant because I was in a hurry, but from glancing inside while waiting in the drive-thru line , it looked nice and clean. The menu is currently limited. Per the associate I spoke with, this is for a limited during COVID-19. The service was excellent, and they were quick, given how busy they were. The food was delicious and reasonably priced! I'll continue to eat at PDQ in the future!

    Grilled turkey burger - delicious

Solid, basic meal. I was recently dining with a friend who has a five and a ten-year-old. The kids were eating pretty much the only meal they will eat - chicken nuggets. They would probably love it here. This place has your all American basics - burgers, chicken tenders, salads - what more could you want (I guess specifically what more could a 10 year old want, for those of us with more eclectic tastes there's a lot more we could want). I made a comment to my husband after looking at the menu that this place didn't appear to be really healthy to me. He replied that he didn't think they are advertising themselves as healthy, they say they use quality ingredients. I guess by default that makes them healthier than typical fast food, but if you're looking for diet food you won't find it here (although you could probably eat a salad and feel pretty good about yourself). I threw all health plans out the window and went with a Grilled Turkey Burger. Yes, I could have wrapped it in lettuce instead of a brioche bun (which is an option on the menu), but I was feeling carefree so I went whole ham. It's kind of sad that this is my idea of going wild nowadays. I forewent the fries, but luckily my husband got them so I could try them and then subsequently eat fistfuls of them from his basket. It wasn't pretty, but man were they good. They are skinny fries, which are my favorite. The Turkey Burger reminded me of Thanksgiving. It has a cranberry sauce and the combination is both nostalgic and delicious. It definitely gets two thumbs up. My husband's chicken tenders looked pretty solid too. They were golden fried huge chunks of meat. Meals are definitely more expensive than fast food, but not by much (about $5 for a sandwich and $8 for a meal). I definitely feel like the quality deserves the price raise. Also, you don't get that judgmental look from people if you suggest PDQ like you may get if you suggest Taco Bell (I like Taco Bell so don't hate on it!) This location is really bright and clean. They even have a sink outside the bathroom so you can wash your hands! Cleanliness is next to godliness (that may not be the saying since I am constantly misquoting popular phrases, but you get the idea). I'll definitely be back!

Everyone there is genuinely kind and welcoming. You can tell they actually care about their customers, and it makes a big difference. Pro tip: if you want to try a little bit of everything, get the 3 musubi combo. You get katsu, regular, and Hawaiian BBQ chicken which is a perfect variety without committing to full plates. The macaroni salad was good, but I wish it had a bit more texture (maybe some celery for crunch?). It was also a little heavy on the mayo for my taste. Portions are HUGE. One entrée could easily feed two people. Each plate comes with two big scoops of rice, so come hungry or be ready for leftovers. Prices are very reasonable, especially for how much food you get. The staff were super friendly, and the decor is cute. Just a heads up, seating is limited inside (a couple tables for 4 and a couple for 2). There's outdoor seating too, but it's not always shaded depending on the time of day. The chicken katsu was my favorite. It was super juicy with a crispy breading, and the soy flavors really came through. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

I went there today to pick up an order I placed through Uber Eats. Usually, when you pick up an Uber Eats order yourself, they don't require a verification code. However, when I went to the front and gave my name to the cashier, she asked if I had proof of the order. I told her no, as I had ordered on my computer and didn't have a code. She insisted she needed verification. My phone wasn't working at the moment, which I don't blame her for, but the way she handled the situation was incredibly frustrating. I waited 20 minutes before I actually got my food. The cashier stood there talking on her phone, claiming she needed to ask her manager, but she never actually did. I didn't hear her explain the situation or ask anyone for help. Instead, she just stayed on her phone and eventually slid the food over to me. There was no apology for the wait, no "here you go," and no "have a nice day." She just slid it over with a smile while still chatting on her phone. It felt like she was purposely inconveniencing me. As soon as I mentioned that I had my ID to prove who I was, it was suddenly no issue, and she handed it over without ever checking with a manager. Very disappointing experience. While the food itself still tastes good, it is simply no longer worth the money or the poor treatment. I never expected over the top, bubbly customer service, the staff that used to work here would just get the job done without the fake enthusiasm, and that was perfectly fine. But there is a massive difference between a worker just trying to get through their shift and one who actively goes out of their way to keep you waiting while talking on the phone. Between the disrespectful service and the shrinking portions, this place just isn't what it used to be.

We tried this place about a year ago, and we had a completely different experience than before. I can honestly say, I won't be back. Not ever. Not even a chance. This place is filthy. The floors, the tables, the bathrooms (the worst I have ever seen), and even the napkin holders. I had immediate regrets upon stepping in based on the lack of cleanliness. The amount of flies swarming was alarming. The service was a zero. The girl working watched us order at the kiosk, the kiosk wouldn't let us pay, we tell her, and she says "oh it doesn't work." So we ordered with her even though she sat around watching us waste our time. I ordered a wing meal, told her I wanted the wings injected, and she said "we don't inject them. I will give you sauce on the side." The menu clearly says they inject wings, social media videos always show it, and also, my last visit there was also injected wings but she would give me no explanation other than "I will give you the sauce on the side." It was bizarre and I couldn't even get a "we don't do that anymore" from her. We ordered a chicken sando. The quality was horrible. Chicken tasted overly processed with bad texture. We also ordered a wing combo. The wings were flavorless. Absolutely flavorless. I ordered medium and there was zero spice. Not even a tad. Apparently they don't inject their wings anymore so there was no flavor in the wings. The quality was pretty bad. Also, the "sauce on the side" that the girl working promised me was not the sauce I ordered, it was the sauce she chose. The whole ordering experience was odd. Definitely seemed like someone who did not care about providing good service, good food, or a sanitary environment. We waited about 25 minutes for our food. About 3 people came in to get pickup orders while we waited and no one else. So we sat and waited while the flys swarmed our heads. The cashier never once tried to come out and clean the filthy tables. She even paused doing nothing for a restroom break, used the filthy restroom, came out with WET hands, and grabbed a napkin from the dusty napkin holder on the filthy table to dry her hands. Then still never wiped down the table caked with food debris. Absolute terrible level of cleanliness, care, and service. It ruined my appetite. After waiting that long, the Mac n cheese was ice cold. 25 minutes for Mac n cheese with a chill to it and no heat. I'm convinced they pulled it out of the refrigerator and forgot to heat it up. This place just had too many misses: a lack of quality, a lack of good service, and a lack of any sanitation standards. Never again. We didn't finish our food. We threw it away outside.

I know this is an independent restaurant, but it seems excessive. The meal I had is almost equivalent to a meal from the rank and file Chinese restaurants all around Tampa or Panda Express. The Orange Chicken had minimal spice. It's supposed to be sweet AND spicy. Pandas is just sweet and I'm afraid Fry and Wok follows the same beats. Liangs Asian bistro in New Tampa has OC that is sweet and spicy. It seems odd to me to do your own take on Americanized Chinese and not improve on it. No one asked me about spice level when I ordered FYI. I asked for tap water and I got hot tap water with no ice. I looked at the menu and all their drinks are $6-7 boba drinks but no canned or bottled soda . In this economy, they should serve some thing cheap as you're getting into $23/24 for one meal. Overall: It's a serviceable place to get Americanized Chinese but the prices and lack of spice make it redundant when there are so many similar and cheaper places.
