In the world of fast food, there are tons of options out there. I travel A LOT all over Florida for work, and quick options are plentiful. However, dieting in 2024 has me cutting down on fried foods and fast foods in moderation and substituting healthier options. However, I love burgers and won't let myself eat them unless it's the occasional Burger-Fi or Shake Shack (I do love Wendy's on occasion) After reading and lurking on The burgers subreddit, the Midwestern Wisconsin Burger chain is really making headlines for it's made to order food. I was on Tampa and had done mid-day time to kill, do I found myself a Culver's, I'd been waiting for a year to get into one. The food is made to order, so the take out lines can be longer than your microwaved McDonald's crap. I ordered a "Butter Burger" thier famous burger with whatever options I wanted, pickles, mustard, Wisconsin cheddar, mayo, and grilled onions. It was the best fast food burger I've ever eaten, maybe besides In-N-Out?!? I also got spicy fried cheese curds, which were heavenly! I went all out and got a vanilla shake, which they are famous for. This thick and rich shake was devine! Try out Culvers, you won't be disappointed. Waited over 15 minutes in the parking space they told me to pull up to and had to get out of my car to ask him associate when my custard was coming because I had seen a few cars come and go that got there after me so the associate went to check on my order and then brought out my half melted custard. read more

This was my 2nd visit here. According to my co workers. I didn't do it right the first time because I didn't get a burger or any ice cream . Well I got the burger and when I tell you , omg , it was so delicious! You can get a lot of toppings on it . My fries were super hot & crispy ! I wanted to try the ice cream but I was out running errands . There is always a line and it was packed the day I went but the service was very courteous and fast ! I will be trying the custard soon ! Today's my wife's birthday and she decided to try something new. The first issue was that the complete order was wrong twice. Then the sandwiches were horrible. Upon speaking over the phone with the manager who was very disrespectful and quite unprofessional didn't change the way she spoke to us until I promised her I'd post a review. I sure hope this is the only Culver's that's not offering pot roast dinner anymore. So we were shocked but hungry and no good places close by, we chose the sandwiches. W a side of mashed potatoes n gravy. We had to pay extra for the gravy, lmao and got charged! Oh wait for it, it was chicken gravy! To go on roast beef? Omg I'm smh! I always try to leave good reviews but there's no way I can today. We are so upset that they've removed the pot roast dinner and beef gravy n the carrots from the menu! Came in for some lunch. I've been here a while ago and didn't care too much for the burger so I opted to try something different. The staff confirmed that the shrimp and cod were good choices so I got the shrimp and hubs got the cod. We got onion rings, cheese curds and coleslaw as sides. There is an upcharge for anything other than fries for your side. The shrimp was nice and crispy. I really liked it, especially for a quick service place! Hubs liked the cod as well. Coleslaw was good also. Recommend trying if you haven't. The restaurant dining area is kept clean and plenty of seating available. Staff was super friendly. read more

Always a great experience at Culvers! The custard is excellent, the burgers are some of the best around, and the prices are right. The staff here is friendly but this place can get busy and they can get overwhelmed. The parking lot is usually full and there are usually cars lined up around the drive through so plan ahead. I hate to call this fast food because that would put Culver's in the category with McD, BK, and Taco Bell... and those don't even compare to Culver's. Rather, this is an Quickly Prepared Eating Experience. Come grab a burger or get your kiddos some frozen custard (ITS NOT ICE CREAM) on the way home. This used to be the best place to eat anywhere around. The last three times I've ordered from there my request as far as my double bacon deluxe $13 burger has been ignored. I end up with a dry burger to avoid this I always option for catchup and mustard since you can't ask for extra mayonnaise. Honestly you shouldn't have to be juicy and not just a grease bomb. I just had my order delivered only to be very dissatisfied the only thing I tasted was grease. This was not the quality of food that they had put out in the past. The one thing I will say is the people that work there have always been very friendly, especially the drive-through. Please get it together Culver's as your food is not cheap!!! I am at the hospital with my sister-in-law because of a meal she ate at Culver's! She asked for a side salad with her meal and somehow ended up with cashews embedded in the bottom of the salad. Spoiler alert-she's allergic to cashews! The manager on duty said sometimes cross-contamination can happen! Are you kidding me!? Cashews don't even come on a side salad! When we counted them out at the hospital there was a total of 14 in there! 14! Do better before you kill someone! Never again will our family patronize this restaurant. They do go the extra mile with genuinely friendly employees from the time of your order to the serving of your food who are sincerely dedicated in making sure you have a good experience. I ordered the chicken sandwich today and it tops just about any fast food restaurant in town with freshness and food quality. No stringy chicken requiring you to run for the dental floss here. Buns are fresh! Although you do order from a counter, you receive a number to identify your table, and it is served to you at your table. Extra napkins, condiments, etc. are offered by the server. Restrooms are spotless. Undoubtedly, this is a well-managed restaurant. Nice quieit atmosphere in the main dining room. Prices are very reasonable. Among standard burgers and fries, they have cheese curds, and custard. They have indoor dining as well as a drive thru. Butter Burger - Tastes like a more "Home cooked" version of a MCDonalds burger. Less heavy. It's not spectacular . 3/5 Cheese Curds- These are small spheres of cheese covered with batter and fried. The cheese is melty and the breading complements it well. 3.5/5 Custard - I got the flavor of the day (Chocolate caramel) I would say the consistency is between traditional ice cream and frozen yogurt. The only custard I've eaten is flan once or twice. This is different from that. This was really good and worth going back for. 4/5 The place is clean and the employees are friendly. The food took about 8 minutes to come out. There are covered seats outside to eat under. Overall: This is a solid but unremarkable place. The custard is worth getting repeatedly though. read more

Huge fan of Culver's but this one is the worst...the cod sandwich look's nothing like the picture on the board...after $50 for dinner they nickel and dime for every sauce (tarter, marinara for cheese curds....by the way 6.29 for a little bag of curds) Biggest issue is poor management including a rude shift manager (Z)... So life after Covid is interesting. It's always a crap shoot with service. Today we stopped by for custard of the day--brownie overload, cheese curds and a lemonade with blackberries. The server delivered our food without the lemonade and melted custard. When we asked her to replace the custard, I guess it was one request too many. Have been here a few times when I'm in the area. Every time I received great, friendly service from the staff. The burgers are fresh and delicious. I love crinkle cut fries but theirs aren't the best. They seem to have a coating, probably to keep them crispy. They need to improve their fries. Doesn't stop me from going back for the cheeseburgers though. Culver's is my new go to instead of Steak 'n Shake. Better burger, better customer service and the place is actually clean. Ps. The revisits of the burger joint by select the different items in the menu make me feel they are better choice. I would suggest not go for the shave prime rib, Atlantic code, or onion ring. These are the items I am not recommended. Go for the burger. Since we have sign up for the e-club. They have given us a coupon of but one get one free value basket. We have order the double cheese burger with bacon. We have up the cost from our value basket to a strawberry shake and curb cheese ball. The up charge is only $1.60. Our total price for two burgers and the upgrade side is less than $11 with coupon. Talking about the saving, this is a good value. The burger patty is ground beef smash into thinner piece and over hot plate grill top. The meat is seared to crispy since they are thin. As a result, the burger is great on taste. Because the patty is so thin, you may wonder when you have order double and it look like single. Please sign their mailing list and you can receive the coupon. More variety than the typical fast food joint but quality is average and price is not worth having the extra wait. Having driven by this location many times and always seeing a line at the drive through, I finally decided to check it out for myself. This is a burger, chicken and seafood place all in one. I thought the pot roast sandwich is ok, I had mines with steak sauce but thought they could've slow roasted the meat longer to make it more tender and add more meat to the sandwich. The Burger is also ok tasting, not terrible but not sit down restaurant quality either, I got a single patty Deluxe burger and was bit surprised how thin the meat patty was. If you are getting just a burger, might wanna spend extra and go for at least a double patty. I had both the original and the buffalo chicken tenders, neither was great, not as tender and juicy that I've had at other places. The buffalo is mild spicy, otherwise texture and taste are the same as the original. Mash potatoes I was not a fan of item, too many chunks of potatoes and just not enough seasoning with salt or butter, maybe they are trying to make it healthier, had to throw mines out after about 3 bites. After you order, pay at the window then pull up and place the placard at edge of your door, they will bring out your food. First time I came it was about a 10 minute wait for 1 burger and chicken tenders, my second time was about a 5 minute wait for the pot roast sandwich and chicken tenders and mash potatoes. read more
