The man at the desk was very knowledgeable and polite. my mini countryman had the electrical system blow up because the dealership in Spokane but a generic, too big battery in and looking back we should have made sure all mini countryman parts were used but we trusted the dealership. PDQ Import Repair came highly recommended by other shops in Lewiston when I needed the fuel pump replaced in my '91 Honda Civic. Cody and his team stepped up to the task and got me in sooner than any other shop anywhere from Lewiston to Grangeville...and, they got it done well within the budget I had available. The mechanic who did the work has my empathy, and my gratitude. It seems he'd perhaps struggled a bit with getting it done (I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade, so I feel the pain of difficult maintenance), and I'm very grateful they got me back on the road. Took my TDI Jetta there in April, had a no start issue I didn't have time or the space to deal with. Turns out the timing had slipped, so I had them take care of it. Get a call that it's done but has a real bad coolant leak which it didn't have before hand, I decided to deal with it myself, they sold me the oring it supposedly needed. While I was in the process of fixing the coolant leak, I found vacuum lines that weren't hooked up, plastic timing belt cover is broken and missing a big piece. Bolts missing, or an extra bolt just laying by the alternator, clamps not put on right on the intake. I later found one of the bolts that was missing laying in the cowl by the wiper blades. Also a greasy rag on the passenger seat, fuel residue all over the fenders, greasy handprints on the trunk lid. Come to find out the oring they sold me was the wrong one and the pipe that was leaking had to have been moved/unbolted from the head in order to do the repair anyways so it should have been on them to repair. I informed the service writer of everything I found with just the typical 'we're sorry about that, the tech is on vacation but I'll give you a call back Monday after I talk to him.' That was two and a half weeks ago and no call back. The car wasn't even test driven after the repair. Now it won't hardly start when the engine is warm, hooked VCDS up to it and the injection pump timing was off. Clearly not the professionalism that can justify a $140/hour labor rate in my opinion and I won't be back. Today I changed the oil filter just incase there was metal and debris in the system I wanted to get a fresh filter on it. They had changed the oil and filter during this repair. They installed the filter upside down..with TOP clearly laser etched onto the filter..not quite sure how it's possible to install it wrong but they figured out a way. read more

I am only giving 1 start because that is the lowest I can give them. We will never use PDQ again! Horrible business and horrible customer service! Not only have they done work that you do not authorize, on more than one occasion, then have the audacity to charge you for work you did NOT authorize. Also, if you ask them to leave the key in the gas cap for an after hour pick up, they will leave your car unlocked with the keys in it! They also cannot take responsibility for their action and instead blame the customer. Will never get another penny from me. POS company read more

Took car in for brakeing noise and transmission service requesting genuine manufacture atf. Shop called said squeal is worn front brakes so I had them replace. Still squealing so I pulled rear brakes myself and found both cylinders leaking. They didn't test drive and obviously didn't check rear brakes. Called and complained. Also found out they used generic minimum atf. No offer to adjust or make right. read more

My AC wasn't working properly so I went in to have it serviced. After spending over 4 hours troubleshooting the system they said they couldn't be sure what the problem was but they would replace the clutch assembly on the compressor and see if it solved it. That should have been my first red flag. When I picked up the car the AC worked. For about a week. Then it started working only intermittently just like it was doing before I paid them over $700 to fix it. They told me that they warrant all their work so I took it back and said I wanted it made right. I was told they would only warrant the clutch assembly and that if it turned out to be another problem I'd be charged for the labor to figure it out and fix it. That's not right. After waiting over 2 weeks for an appointment (this was in the heat of the summer mind you) they said they would check the clutch assembly and I made them promise me they would not charge me to do so. After 30 minutes of waiting in their lobby past my appointment time, another person came in and their vehicle was immediately taken into the shop while mine sat in the parking lot. I was furious. I asked for my keys back and told the person at the counter I was going to take my car to another shop. He said "why?". What?? I said I didn't feel my business was appreciated and I had been kept waiting too long for them to fix a problem they should have fixed the FIRST time. He made no apology but just handed me the keys. I will never go back to PDQ and I would recommend others don't either. What a lousy way to treat customers. read more

This is the WORST experience I have ever had. They merely thought they could take advantage of me because they were under the assumption I had no knowledge of the vehicle I was bringing in. They gave me an original maximum quote and then after they said they found the issue it took them over a month to actually fix it. But did they really fix it? No! Over $1,000 dollars over what the original quote said and I still have to spend more money on it. I took it in for a second opinion after I popped the hood. The engine bay was completely covered in oil still and they made no effort to actually clean up the work they had done. They broke the oil dipstick and chose not to replace it. After I told them twice to replace m²y brake pads and rotors because they said if they did that it would come with a free oil change, I realized the brake pads were not replaced and my rotors were still rusted. Hmm? The second shop I took it in replaced the tires for me and noted EVERYTHING that was done was quoted by the second mechanic "SHOTTY SHIT". I gave the mechanic the bill and he pointed out several discrepancies that I needed to question PDQ on. I also called at least twice after they told me it would be done and it was not. Then they call me with a quote that was $1400 over their original MAXIMUM quote but in the end it was still $1,000 over and still not completely fixed. I want to know what they actually did because this is a joke! I have never in my life experienced something so incredibly embarrassing.... yes, embarrassing. I feel embarrassed for them because of their incompetent behavior. I told them to replace EVERYTHING in this car that needed replaced and if something didn't look right, fix it. Now I will be out over 4,000 dollars for a car I have to take elsewhere to be fixed. Wheel bearings and tie rod ends need replaced which should have been noticed when they took the car apart and they didn't say a word about it. Did they drive this car to check how it was driving? Obviously not because everything in the front end is so loose it feels like its going to fall apart. Way to go! I hope you guys read this and it makes you realize that you cant screw people over and expect to just let it slide. You guys are snakes. I DROVE THIS CAR TWICE AND IT LEFT ME STRANDED.
