Orders are taken at the counter, and an employee brings food and beverages to the table. Service was timely and super friendly. My boyfriend found that he had a lot in common with our server, who shared the same birthday and who has also traveled a great deal. My boyfriend ordered and enjoyed the pulled pork migas. The chipotle flavor was a bit too strong for me. I ordered the H-scramble. The feta that was on it was superb; it resembled goat cheese. The country potatoes that accompanied both of our meals were good. My toast was on the cold side, as was my boyfriend's coffee. I chose raspberry jam with my toast, which was a great choice. In terms of ambiance, the brick walls were lovely, the place runs cool in a chilly morning, there was plenty of seating and tables weren't jammed together, and the restrooms were clean. Very friendly and great food. The manager was thoughtful enough to come around and see how everyone was doing at all the tables. I had the quiche, deliciously made with homemade crust and it came with fried potatoes. These potatoes rocked my world! I think they pre cook the diced potatoes and then drop them in the fryer. Excellent food! I've visited many times, especially for breakfast and it's one of my favorite restaurants. I love their vegetarian migas, blueberry scone, chocolate chip cookie, salted caramel hot chocolate, and french toast. I also finally tried dinner one evening and the food was just as amazing. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the Peace Arch City Cafe before heading out of Blaine. I enjoyed the omelette while my husband had lobster benedict. He was the benedict was "solid," which is a fairly glowing review from him and I couldn't get enough of the omelette. The restaurant is nice and open (easy for a toddler to burn off a bit of steam without disturbing other guests). You order at the counter and then the food is brought to your table. I love this place. Have been there half a dozen times for dinner. The food is fabulous and the staff is cordial. If you're there for dinner, I strongly recommend the salmon chowder. It's full of delicious salmon. The French onion soup is also good. The prices are very fair. read more

Excellent local restaurant, the owners are always here, one of them cooks. They can make it any way you want if they're not super busy. Breakfast and lunch, plus a bar. Bright and sunny open space. After reading all of the positive reviews for the Peace Arch City Cafe, my wife and I decided it was time for us to give it a try. Boy am I glad we did! The food was fabulous! I had the pork loin chop and my wife had the carbonara pasta. Both dishes were presented very well. My first bite was a wonderful experience. Chef Doug stopped by to inquire about our food. I couldn't exclaim enough about how impressed I was with the flavor. It was one of the best pork chop meals I have ever eaten. My wife's carbonara pasta was so good, I finished hers too. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly. Levi, Kate and others were great! Offering great suggestions as well as recommending their specials. This is a great location to get something to eat before or after crossing the US/Canadian border. The staff is super friendly and brought my dog a water bowl when they saw him. I order their omelet, which it came with sourdough bread slices, jam, and potatoes. The omelet needs a bit more seasoning (such as salt and pepper). I really like their jam and wish there was more to go with my bread. Not sure if their sourdough bread is made in the house but it was good with crusty outer and soft, fluffy center. I wanted to love this place, but it was very average. I had an average coffee and subpar scone. The bright spot is I took it to go and sat on a park bench to listen to the students playing jazz music at the Blaine music festival. You can't beat the atmosphere in downtown Blaine. read more

I crossed the border yesterday and had breakfast here. It was definitely a 5 star breakfast. The huevos rancheros are an amazing dish with a great portion size. We just don't get dishes line this in Canada. I love this little town of blaine, it's so nice walking around here and eating before heading down south. First time visit, the only unfortunate issue was that they had a kitchen staff shortage so it took 30 minutes to get our order once it was placed at the counter, they did apologize.. However once the food arrived we were not disappointed. The 3 egg bacon/ham omelet was delicious, the crunchy country potatoes were great and the toasted dark rye bread was tasty. Quick spot to grab a bite as you're crossing the border between the US and Canada. My friend and I were making the trek from Vancouver to Portland and stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning around 10 am. It's a large space with plenty of seating. It was mostly empty when we arrived, probably because it was a weekday morning, so we had our pick of seats. The breakfast menu is served 7:30 to 11, and lunch takes over from 11 to 3. All the standard breakfast items were there: breakfast sandwiches and platters, omelettes, french toast, etc. Prices were reasonable with the prices ranging from $6-12. I went with the F omelette, with bacon, ham, turkey, tomato, and avocado ($12.50). It's served with country potatoes and your choice of toast. The omelette was delicious and came chock full of ham and bacon. The avocado wasn't the ripest but it was still good. I had to add some salt since it was a little bland, but otherwise it was a solid omelette. The potatoes were good as well, but I wasn't too hungry so early in the morning so I just ate a couple of them. Including my OJ, I paid around ~$19 for my meal. read more

If I lived closer I would frequent them often. I was with a party of six. The "quick" eaters in our group headed for the billiard tables, a nice feature in this semi-tavern environment.
