Always a special moment to relax in the garden vibes and nourish your body with healthful food... AND delicious treats. Service is always genuine and loving.

Outside was a bit cold this day so we went inside.

The staff was super patient and friendly as we asked what everything was, for recommendations and to make sure our dietary needs were met. Everything is gluten, dairy free and raw and vegan. No refined sugar either! We both enjoyed a wrap- my husband had the falafel and I had the mango. The wraps are likely made with coconut and dehydrated. They were good to eat! The sprouts alone were worth the money! The plants outside give it a nice earthy, hippy vibe and we ended up talking with a family there. It's nice to be among others who like the same type of things. They had driven an hour to come there and loaded up on take home items and a cookbook too! You know it's good and unique if you see that!! We are visiting from Washington so we were super happy to make this our first food out of the anniversary trip! We will be back for sure! The only problem? We were so full, we couldn't eat both halves of the wrap. But don't worry, the Twix replica and the mint chocolate "cheese" cake were able to fit in our tummy's!! Highly recommend for every raw vegan (be ok with nuts!) and any healthy eating non vegan as well.

Wow, a friend recommended Peace Pies to us when she knew we were headed to San Diego. What a lovely find. We parked on the street and walked toward the restaurant as airplanes zoomed overhead. As we approached the restaurant, it was as if it opened its green arms up to welcome us. Soft smiling folks welcomed us (staff and guests alike.) We were instantly cocooned inside their plant thriving space. I chose the Loving Lasagna and my husband had the Peaceful Pizza sans 'pepperoni'. We threw in a small order of kale chips. There is a tiny store with items to take to-go along with cookbooks and other gift ideas. We decided to sit outside and though it was close to the street, the noise did intrude thanks to the plants festooned all around us. A guest had just arrived from Denver and still had her luggage with her because she wanted her first stop to be here. She had the same relaxed and happy smile across her face as everyone else. The food arrived. We had already scarfed down the kale chips. Addictively good. The ingredients were so fresh each ingredient danced around and landed beautifully with each bite. A crunch, a spice, a surprise were all where they needed to be on my tastebuds. Really tasty! Even with the healthy adaptations, surprisingly the lasagna tasted like lasagna and the pizza also was very much like a pizza. We felt satiated, full, and I think the same happy smiles were spread across us just like everyone else there.

We moved from the area several years ago and stop in every time we visit San Diego. (Clearly need pictures before we dive in next time.) Every menu item is consistent in taste, quality and size every visit. The price reflects the quality ingredients and preparation. I have one of their "cookbooks" and appreciate the vibe and helpful staff at both locations. They have available to go items, or you can have something else prepped to go live/online, or eat in and enjoy the ambiance. My to go order took maybe five minutes and was . Parking may require patience but has never deterred us. Raw food at it's best!

Went to Peace Pies for a birthday lunch and it was such a great choice. We had a large group of people who eat really healthy, and they were able to accommodate everyone without any issues, which is not always easy to find. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The quesadillas were a standout, the nachos were loaded and so good, and the dessert was next level. Everyone was impressed. The vibe of the place is also amazing. The sign outside is so cool and made the perfect backdrop for a group photo, which was a fun bonus for a birthday celebration. Overall, Peace Pies was the perfect spot for a group lunch, especially if you are looking for delicious food and nourishing food. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it for birthdays or any group gathering.

So freaking good. Healthy, fun, inventive dishes that are so delicious. Today I got the mango curry wrap that came with kale chips. Love the plants and decor. The people are always happy to see you and explain anything on the menu.

Some of the best food I've ever had!! I'm obsessed with their mystical mushroom quesadilla with added walnut meat (the walnut meat is a must), bruschetta, and their kale chips. I can never leave without one of their delicious desserts. And, I love their outdoor dining area, it's very peaceful and tranquil. The employees are always kind and helpful with any questions. I really recommend Peace Pies to everyone!

So good, I came back! I was just here last weekend for the first time. So now I'm a regular I came back to try the tacos! Yummy!!

While scrolling delivery apps for something enticing, I decided to order Peace Pies as I was not feeling well and figured that raw, fresh food would be my best bet in getting better quickly. Though everything sounded delicious, I opted for the Bliss Burger, Karmic Kale Salad, and the Superhuman Green Smoothie. I was initially a little skeptical of how a raw burger would taste, but there are not even words to describe how insanely flavorful the sun dried tomato and walnut patty was. The homemade ketchup and onion bread really brought the burger together! I honestly would not have imagined this meal being as good as it was! The smoothie delicious and refreshing. While I initially planned on eating the salad later in the evening, the burger and smoothie actually kept me so full all day that I gave it to my neighbor to enjoy instead!

The drill here is order at the counter and your food will be brought out. Friendly service with good recommendations. I went with the Magical Mango Curry Wrap that comes with kale chips and a dressing. Help yourself to filtered water. I sat in the garden and loved the ambience with heaps of potted plants. I found the wrap flavorful and ample portions. The kale chips were very tasty. Well executed presentation. Peace Pies was named the 55th best restaurant in America by Yelp in a recent poll. Bonus points for having Dr. Bronner's soap in the bathroom. Definitely worth checking out in San Diego.

Unfortunately on my morning walk this week, I noticed the restaurant is empty and there's a for lease sign up. To be honest, the food was good but not cravable --I never felt the need to go back. They have a really nice selection of both vegan and non vegan options. Ordered the Garlic Edamame, Karaage Bao Buns, and Crispy Gyoza. Garlic Edamame was delicious! It had that perfect combo of chili and the garlic was just right. And by just right I mean LOTS of garlic. Little side note, they didn't provide another dish to discard the eaten ones and also had to ask for plates which made a bit of a mess when you are sharing a bunch of small plates. Karaage Bao Buns were so good that we wound up ordering another order. If someone had ordered these and not told me they were vegan I would have never know. The texture of the Not chicken was perfect and the rest of the added flavors from the aioli's and garnish were well balanced. Our least favorite was the Crispy Gyoza. The ends were perfect combo but the middle was mush and the texture and flavor was not spectacular. It might have just been the cook but the the ingredients seemed like they were too wet when they were fried. Service was the absolute worst. Had to ask several times for our drinks when tables that were sat well after us all had theirs. I would come back in hopes the service was better but what a let down when we were there to celebrate and were ignored with the servers passing by us and not checking on us.

On a Friday night. It felt like VIP and private we had the restaurant to ourselves but it was so sad at the same time. They were more strong on to-go orders as customers came and went. We ordered their vegetable tempura, pineapple fried rice, and panang curry. Everything came out hot. All was good except the pineapple in their fried rice was spoiled. We brought it to their attention, and they corrected it right away. They explained it was canned so they're not sure how it could've been spoiled. We were unable to eat it. They made us a fresh new hot plate. They also brought us everything we requested like condiments and boxes. The lady was very nice about it. I couldn't hate on the place. It's just sad to see it dead compared to how it was before. The economy is really tough, and too expensive to dine out. The only one-off would be the spoiled food many because the food isn't circulating due to low demand. Anyway, the staff were very nice and polite though.
