I came in for a root canal and I had insurance well months later in my root canal became very achy where an infection was found. The pain unbearable and I went back to elegant Smilez and they removed my permanent crown and cleaned out the root canal and put a temporary crown in place, but they charge me for an entire new root canal, which is all documented with my insurance. So they proceed to send me to a specialist and I called the specialist and it will be $300 for me to see a specialist. As the months moved on, I became laid off in my job and no longer had insurance so I sacrifice just wearing my temporary crown until that came out just recently and now I have tried to call elegant smiles to see how they can help me because I just went to another dental office who have let me know that I have an infection in my root canal wasn't done properly. So I just called elegant Smilez and they informed me that the Doctor Who did my root canal she's no longer in the office and begin to charge me a new patient $199 fee. I talk to one of the medical doctors on Wednesday Sept 17, put advised me that he would help me and would call back... well he refused to call back and I gave him all day Thursday to call me back and he didn't so I proceeded to call Friday, September 19 and all day my calls were forwarded to a fax line.. I tried calling them a few times Monday, September 22. The phone rang no answer. I tried again Tuesday, September 23. The phone rang no answer. Today is September 24 and I have tried again to contact them and again the phone rang and they continue to send me to a fax machine. These guys know the mistakes that they have made, and they refuse to help me. I have tried to give them a few times to work with me before I escalate the situation to social media and a medical attorney. I am sitting here now with the infection in my tooth#30 which is all documented by another dentist that I went to last week. I would not recommend this place. They are very sketchy with Business. I wouldn't trust them with any detailed dental work maybe a cleaning that's about it but they can't be trusted and they don't even care about the health of their previous patients. Avoiding my calls for days at a time and not returning my call is a clear sign that you guys are very sketchy and shouldn't be in business. I have a huge social media following, the media will hear about this. I am a victim in the situation who have given this dentist office several chances to help with the damages that they have created. I understand mistakes happen and accidents happen as well, but to run away and avoid your damages will be more damages$$$$ added :) Today was my last time reaching out to them. Additionally, some staff inquire about personal matters that may feel intrusive. This is a continuation of my dental saga from this morning (see my review for Tend Buckhead written…read moreabout two hours ago- spoiler I walked out because I didn't agree with their terms). I have a chipped tooth and Rebecca at Buckhead Dental Group was kind enough to ask a dentist at this practice to work me in on short notice. Rebecca is a total dear- so kind and sweet. She sets the tone for the office as a point of first contact and gave me every confidence my issue would be addressed. I cannot say enough for my positive experience. Dr. Abera was kind enough to see me and take a look at my mouth prior to extensive cleaning, X-rays, etc. This practice (unlike TEND) did not require extensive X-rays prior to even *speaking* with the dentist (avoid Tend buckhead!!!). My chip, as I suspected, required no filling or X-rays- just a bit of smoothing. I was in and out and the doc made time for me to ensur4e everything was addressed properly. She was kind and attentive, her assistant was absolutely amazing and sweet. I couldn't be happier and will bringing my entire family here for future visits. She even said I had nice teeth which I really appreciated! In a world where massive dental conglomerates buy small family practices and then make it about dollars, this is still a practice that has integrity and puts the welfare of their patients FIRST. They have my business and all of my recommendations moving forward! Twenty stars if I could award that many. Thank you so much to the whole team at Buckhead Dental Group for making me feel so at home and listening to my needs during a (potential) dental emergency. I was a patient Dr Lewis Freedman who reconstructed my best friends' fathers mouth so I went. Most unfortunately he passed away recently and his brother Charles has taken over most of his patients. I have been a white knuckle fraidy cat for most of my life. Had fillings when I was little with no Novocain. But everyone there has assured me that the easiest thing they can do is to not hurt me. And it's TRUE. They don't have a big flashy office with a lot of wasted space but it has everything. Their location on Piedmont in Buckhead was established by Dr.s Freedman's father many years ago and at some point DR Weitman was added to the staff. He works closely with their in house ceramicist which is novel in todays world. They are really like a family to me. I go in every 6 months for a cleaning and a review from the Dr. They have fixed broken teeth, done root canals, caps, fillings and pulled a tooth or two. I have the utmost confidence in everyone at this treasure of a find.
