Holy moly, this thing made my night. I just finished a turkey leg and my gf had a donut earlier from a certain vendor that was good (topping was delicious with Oreo pieces and vanilla frosting but the dough was okay) but her friend got a simple glazed from this vendor (Peacheys/amish baking company) but it looked sooooooo good with the glaze dripping down from the donuts on the rack so I had to get one. On the way back to the front gate, their mobile bake shop was set up. I go and get my donut and the minute I grab it from the ladies hand, I knew the choice was a F A N T A S T I C one. The dough felt sooooooo warm and SOOOOOOOO soft, as the glaze drizzled along the donut. This, indeed, was heaven. This is my first ever review because I'd never had anything so good worth going on here to review, but as I checked Sarasota's top donut shops, I was displeased to not see it at number 1. I am extremely happy they were approved to be a vendor this year at the fair and plan on going to Sarasota to only get this donut if need be. These things may be the definition of a perfect doughnut. I mean, these are legit! The dough is fresh as can be and the glaze is literally dripping off of it because it's so warm. The size is shareable. Do not get your own, unless you are ready to have some stomach pains from overdoing the sweet thing. Do have multiple ones over the course of 3-4 days. They are that worthy of the calories. The pretzels are perfect too. Man, the Amish are keeping some pretty serious secrets on how to create a perfect dough. There are a few things I love about where I live - the weather in January, no income tax, and PEACHEY's DONUTS AND PRETZELS. Literally feel so blessed that I live in Sarasota where they have a mainstay truck. I follow them on Instagram and FB so I can stay updated on where they go in the Tampa Bay area during the week/Saturday (they are typically closed on Sundays). If you ever visit this area, or if they are in your town/state for a festival or fair, you need to find them! There may be a line and it may be the most you've paid for a donut or pretzel, but I guarantee you won't regret it. read more

Had one last yr at Tampa fair and was excited they were back in 2018 and planned to get some to bring home. I bought 6. They refused to give me a box that I requested unless I bought a dozen at $34. (Sorry, way too pricey for doughnuts and now glad I didn't.) So they shoved 3 each in paper bags. Thank goodness I thought to place the paper bags in a plastic bag we had for the ride home. By the time we got home they had soaked through the bags and had flattened considerably. By the next day (stored in a closed container, since I had to throw the grease coated paper bags away) they were even flatter and did not taste good at all. Huge waste of money. My advice, just get 1 and enjoy it in the moment! read more

I first discovered these donuts at Bonnaroo Arts & Music festival in Manchester, TN. Here is my personal story! I ate these donuts after Elton John's set. The line was so long, but so worth it. My legs were trembling from four days of running around Bonnaroo and standing so much, but the smell of the donuts took away the pain immediately. It took twenty five minutes of waiting in line, but we were finally at the counter front ordering donuts. We went with The Deal, which consisted of 3 Donuts for Ten bucks. A steal! The beautiful sight of those bakery workers mixing the ingredients, constructing the dough into circles, baking them, and then hanging them only to drench them with glaze deliciousness. I felt the donut, the warmth in my hand. The imperfect circle slightly bent because the donut had so much freaking glaze on it. I took a bite. It was hot enough that it barely burned your mouth, in my opinion the perfect temperature for a baked good. The donut was so good. So soft. So glaze. I have never had a donut like that. I can never eat Dunkin Donuts or Tim Horton's again. Amish Baking Co. all the way! FINAL VERDICT: Is Taco Bell better? NO WAY! Amish Baking Company is not just better than Taco Bell, it's the BEST. read more

Peachey's truck at the bradenton crowder brothers parking lot is AMAZING. The donuts glazed, or old fashioned, are amazing, much better than your local donut shop. And then the specialty walks in. It is usually at a pattern of coconut then raspberry glaze, but I love them both so much and it's amazing to watch them make the donuts. read more
