What a great lobby bar and restaurant located in the center of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Orlando. I have had great conversations and old fashions sitting in this bar. The staff are very attentive and they know their drinks. One of the visits i had on this trip had tuna tartar and an old fashion with Angels Envy Bourbon. What a great combination, fresh tuna and guacamole with a "spirited" drink. I look forward to future visits. read more

It's a hotel bar but it's tucked a bit away from the entrance. They have massive windows to enjoy a nice sunset. The bar food options, though I've never tried them, looks amazing; Sliders, Mac n cheese, big salads. A lot of people eat at this bar- not AT the bar but there's a large seating area associated with it, with couches and regular tables. There were groups of people having drinks and dinner, couples and even solo diners. There is room and seating arrangements for all. The bar has some seating where you can see the cocktails being made and appreciate the selection of spirits. Their cocktail menu has a variety of options but they can make anything. I had an old fashioned with knob creek. My date had the picador sour. Both were tasty. Service is quick. We had a drink within minutes and our check when we asked. We were not late to our dinner reservation. If we did not already have a dinner res, we would have eaten at the bar! Parking- valet at Waldorf hotel loop or park yourself at the garage between the hilton Signia and Waldorf and walk over. Valet I believe $46. All day garage parking $35 but I think you can get hourly rates in the garage too. read more

Listen to me, I don't take 5 stars lightly. We were looking for a newish hotel, in order to not have to deal with potential mold issues. They delivered. The brunch is a must, service is wonderful at their bar/restaurant (Peacock Alley), the pool is bada** and it was literally our little's fave. Back to Peacock: easy breezy for din and drinks. Great tequila selection, amazing burger, but still a pricey hotel bar restaurant. Stopped in here for food while in the hotel and was impressed by their tequila selection. The bartender was knowledgeable and recommended his favorite for me to try, which made an excellent margarita. I ordered the burger and it was cooked perfect and delicious. The fries was a smaller portion that expected, but very tasty also. The service was great, although the food took a little while to come out. The bar interior is very classic and offers nice outside seating overlooking the pool and golf course. Remember to ask for validation for your parking and it will save you almost $30! The burger and drink was pricey, but about what I expected at a hotel bar in the Waldorf. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone if you're at the hotel. read more

Orlando sucks for food. Let me repeat: SUCKS. Everytime I'm there i cannot wait to get back to SoCal to eat a decent meal. We came back from a long day at Disney and before we even got to our room at the Waldorf we jumped onto the patio and had Dinner. The night before we hung out in the bar which had excellent service and was the happening spot as well. We ordered: Hummus $13, Nothing special but healthy and good. 2 Chicken Ceasar salad's ($19 each) which were solid. Wings ($18) , best thing i had in Orlando. Oh my goodness these wings were incredible. I got them Hot. Kids burger sliders ($10) with the most amazing broccolini. Seriously get the broccolini as the side. I apologize for not posting pics it was a loooooong day at Disney hell (the things we do for our kids) and hadn't eaten in 10 hours. Love this hotel and really likes this restaurant. read more

My wife and I love Peacock Alley; and, have enjoyed drinks and food; and, have relaxed while listening to the piano player on multiple occasions. Any time we stay at the Hilton or the Waldorf, you can find us at Peacock Alley. On our first day staying at the Waldorf for my wife's birthday, we took our daughter to Peacock Alley to relax while our suite was made ready. My wife had the house merlot; and, I had the house red blend, while our daughter had a soft drink. As a concession for our room not being ready, we had coupons for three free drinks; and, one free appetizer. We ordered one of our favorites, the Mediterranean Flatbread, as well as the Polenta Fries, which were superb. We all enjoyed the food and drinks very much. Our room was ready before we finished dining. After returning from shopping the next day, we all had repeats of our drink selections. We hadn't planned to stop in; but, the front desk informed us we had "welcome drinks" available for Diamond Status at Hilton - woo hoo! Peacock Alley holds a special place in our hearts; it is spacious, yet cozy; formal yet relaxing. The drinks are not ridiculously priced; the food is excellent. We always have fantastic service; and, tip our servers very well. read more

I have had many great experiences at the Peacock Alley. Its a great little cocktail bar and restaurant with small bites that is chic and has an upacale look. It serves as a place to congregate through out the day whether you are waiting for a flight, waiting to check in, want food or cocktails etc. Its relatively quiet and spacious. The staff was extremely hospitable to me on my birthday. I recieved vouchers upon checking in for a free flute of champagne and food. I advised them I was a Celiac and our waitress went down stairs to the kitchen to see what was gluten free on their menu which would be the items shown. I am sure the menu has changed by now, but it was a great experience and I enjoyed the food. Whenever I stay at the Waldorf I make sure to get a few before dinner or after dinner cocktails. read more

I just love it here! The service, the drinks, the food, the smell! During our stay, we had drinks and apps several times and everything was delicious! Well, except for a sazerac I ordered on a whim - eek! Not my thing, apparently. Our lovely server took it off the tab even though a friend of mine drank it happily. My old fashioned with Angel's Envy, however, was heavenly. We all shared the Charcuterie and Cheese Board, Truffle Devilled Eggs, and Fillet Sliders, all of which were lovely, but the eggs were my favorite! So much flavor, great texture, and of course - yummy truffle! Who could resist?! I have to shout out the service again! We had a question about a drink from the Epicurious event they had in fall of 2021, and our server came back from Bull and Bear with a recipe on paper so we could make it(or try to, anyways) ourselves. I love stopping at this lounge in the Waldorf. They always have the best service, including complimentary bar snacks that are super tasty! The peacock drink is their signature but doesn't really come with much in it. Just pretty to look at really. They also have a full menu of wines, beers, and other specialty cocktails. There is also the option to sit outside which overlooks the pool area. You don't have to dress too fancy here because it is Disney so there's lots of tourists walking around and many are casual. The waitress comes to you if not sitting at the bar. The sofas and chairs are super comfy. The drinks are pricey but you are in Disney town and this is the Waldorf after all. If just coming for a drink you don't need to pay for parking, but if staying longer you can valet or do self-parking. read more

There's a nice slightly formal indoor seating area. There is piano music in the evening. There's also an exterior balcony seating area with some views of the pool. The outdoor area is shaded under a roof and even though the pool is just below, not much noise travels upwards. The limited menu was rather limited, no entree options really, but there are good apps and things that can be shared for a good lunch. I ordered three items and told the server we would share them. One of the items was The Waldorf Salad and the server took the initiative to split the dish for us. This salad was primarily julienned apples, celery and a light buttermilk dressing with red grapes and candied walnuts. Very light, fresh and good! I also order the Filet Mignon Sliders. You get three of them. They have a light "Russian Dressing," one slice of tomato and a steak slice on a mini brioche bun. Finally I tried the Waldorf Chicken Apple Salad. The server says this normally comes in a bread bowl, but she offered a wrap since we were splitting it. This was also really good and was stuffed with cubed chicken, grapes, walnuts, more and apples. Our server was friendly and attentive even though she seemed to be the only one taking care of the balcony area. She noticed us very soon as we sat ourselves and remained friendly throughout. Throughout my stay I spent time on the balcony of the hotel overlooking the pool. This area is served by staff from this restaurant. The staff frequently made rounds outside and service was quick. The staff checked back frequently. One time, after being a repeat guest several days in a row I was given a comped coffee. read more

It was not very busy and there were several staff members behind the bar so there shouldn't have been an issue providing prompt service. This is a very comfortable space. When compared to its NYC location this space is similar in decor but substantially fresher and bright. If you want a cocktail, your in the right spot. Both were fantastic and true to the Waldorf tradition. Our server Jennifer was very friendly, accomidating, and helpful. I look forward to future visits to Peacock Alley. I love the peacock alley. The staff the drinks and food were amazing. The only thing I was sad about was Friday and Saturday they didn't have the signature drink which is called looking through the mirrored glass . That was my reason for them not getting a full 5 stars . It's the weekend and it's ur signature drink it should be available . They did make it up to us by giving us 2 glasses of champagne and a free appetizers which was sweet . We sat outside and ate lunch while we waited for our room to be ready. The menu is limited more bar type, but ordered the Waldorf salad and the chicken club sandwich. The only thing good was the fries and for that and two bottles ice teas it was $80. Wasn't the best way to start the stay but Hopefully gets better. I would try would of the other restaurants for food and stick to drinks here. read more

After reading the description of this "romantic restaurant" I was excited to try it. When we walked in we weren't sure we were in the right place because it was a bar with an open atmosphere (no walls). Very loud; not an intimate setting at all. We sat and waited for menus for 20 mins. Once we finally got menus it took another 20 to order. Once we ordered it took 40 additional minutes to bring out a side salad and soup. The soup was cold. The salad had no flavor at all. It was the saddest Caesar salad I've ever eaten. Figuring dessert would be harder to mess up (because sugar), we ordered zeppole (one of only two options). It was horrible. Fried balls of dough undercooked and once again tasteless. At least it came covered in powdered sugar though a stop for funnel cake would have tasted better. Overall our expensive meal was lacking flavor and quality and the dining experience was poor. Will not be returning. read more

Expensive drinks (around $15), but they are tasty and well made! My husband and I came here for a night cap after a long day at Disney. I can't remember the name of the drink I got, but it had cold brew coffee and Belvedere vodka in it. Excellent! My husband really enjoyed his old fashioned made with Buffalo Trace (they do carry Basil Hayden for all you ballers out there). The couches are comfortable and the service is friendly. Not having made a reservation at the B&B in time, our dinner was delayed to 9:30 (or so we were told at first). The logical thing would be to preen and strut at the Peacock Alley lounge, right? Problem might have been because we were not in our pre-metamorphosis day clothes, but MAN was the service painfully hard to come by. I know there were only 2 waitresses for a pretty sprawling place, but despite there being quite a few tables occupied, the two waitresses didn't appear to be stressing out. So howzabout glancing our way from time to time? We ordered the fish tacos for a snack. Without any warning from the menu, these came as RAW fish tacos (as in tuna). They looked lovely, and I would have wolfed down all 3 (but not saved room for dinner), but my funny Valentine doesn't do raw fish. We changed it to crab cakes, which the new waitress who saw us waving madly explained would take 20 minutes (took 25). Saving grace was that those 3 clumps were probably the best crab cakes we've had in recent memory. Quite unlike the usual oily, bready-y fare, and really nothing that fancy - just very fresh-tasting crab in chunky little mounds. At $16 (at a Waldorf, no less), they were actually quite the bargain. I really was set on 2 stars due to the frustrating, often-non-existent service, but on account of the crab cakes, and a pretty generous portion of wine/bubbly by the glass, jacked it up to a trey. read more

I really enjoy this location when wanting to go out and have that "classy" feel, which is a nice change from the Chili's down the road serving up balloon animals with your margarita. If you're just coming for a drink, make sure to valet up front as they validate. Don't do the garage, as it is $8 for over 20 minutes. If you can woof it down in 19 minutes, then you're golden! Drinks here are $12 for cocktails, $14 for martinis. Yes, it's pricey..but they are also premium and taste very good! You also get a nice selection of peanuts to munch on while you lounge. While I have not tried the food, it seems reasonably priced for the location. Service is quick and friendly and an overall nice location. You can also catch the life piano player at night. The Fall Harvest cocktail here is delicious but the price is atrocious. The same goes for all the martinis, wines, mixed drinks, food, everything. Mad expensive. But guess what? You're in the Waldorf Astoria so open your wallet... or just charge it to your room, that's much easier. Peacock Alley is a large open area with a shiny bar and many comfortable chairs and sofas strewn about the room. There is a pianist that shows up in the evenings though sadly, I never caught him/her at work. They make good drinks here and the bartenders are pretty friendly. I saw a few other reviewers mention that their bartenders were slow. Perhaps they are if you are seated in the room. However, if you order a drink AT the bar, it will not seem as such. Be a people person and go chat. If the mood strikes you, there is a long stretch of balcony just outside where you can sit and drink and watch the day/night pass you by. It's groovy. read more

We are staying at the Waldorf and decided to give the Peacock Alley Bar a try. It was delish, I had 2 glasses of wine and peacock egg it tastes like a boozy lemonade and I definitely recommend it if anything just to look at it while you're drinking it really cool! The egg itself is frozen and the liquid is somehow unfrozen inside illuminated by at the bottom by Blue what looks like a sugar in a light very cool! We were feeling a little hungry after a long day at Universal Studios and decided to get some snacks we got a charcuterie board and a cheese board both were absolutely yummy! The bread was nice and crispy the cheese selections were great my husband really liked the blue cheese selection. My husband chose the shrimp spring rolls he said they were pretty good , but he probably wouldn't order them again. I had the eggplant french fries they were absolutely fantastic it's my new obsession! We also had the tomato soup that comes with a small little grilled cheese sandwich that soup was sooooo good!!!! I recommend it! Lastly we shared the Waldorf salad this is obviously a classic of the Waldorf Astoria but it was absolutely AMAZING and would be great with a chicken breast on top we're getting it every time we come here! Peacock Alley in the Waldorf Astoria Orlando is worthy of the appellation. Years ago, I'd worked at the WA in Manhattan, so I'm sufficiently familiar so as to draw the comparison. The open air feel, the plush decor--including peacock feather-themed carpet--was posh, welcoming and witty. The drinks were as expected: well mixed and rapidly served by wonderful waitstaff. We also had the opportunity to spend a little time with the manager, Rafael Frederick, a warm and patient man who willingly engaged with our stories of the original. His servant's attitude has obviously been transferred to the staff, as evidenced by their attention to their patrons. To top it off, he not only sent over some frizzante proseccos, he was sure to send those for our wives first, just to toy with their somewhat too-boisterous husbands. I wanted to take a good friend for a birthday high tea and made reservations for 2:00. We arrived at 2:00 and waited for 10 minutes. When no one appeared we saw a few white linen tables (in the sports bar) and walked over. We found my friend's name on the menu so we knew we had the right table and sat down. It was another 10 minutes before someone came over and offered us our tea choices. During this time we saw the Wimbledon tennis matches and watched the guests and running, screaming children as the Tea Room is in the sports bar next to the main foyer to the rooms (not conducive to an intimate cozy atmosphere that one expects in a tea room). The tea was brought out and placed on the table along with 3 sand hour glasses and the waiter left. My friend called him back and asked what the hour glasses were for. He then explained that they were 3, 4, and 5 minute timers for steeping the tea. Sandwiches were then brought out. The bread was tasteless and soggy and the spreads thin and tasteless. The only highlight was the curry chicken salad and we joked and said we should have ordered a plate of that. Next came the scones which were excellent. The lemon curd and jam were very good but the clotted cream tasted like whipped butter. Finally dessert was served. We had high expectations after the scones but each of the desserts offered were so poor that we did not take more than a bite from each. I had picked the Waldorf for the reputation of quality however the service and the food were substandard. The only element that was Waldorf quality was the high price. read more

The Peacock Alley in the Waldorf Astoria is a lobby bar. And lobby bars can really vary. We first headed into the Peacock Alley lounge to participate in the Royal Tea Service. We also stayed for drinks. I think I need to divide this review into two parts -- the service versus the food, because there were stark differences, hence the 3 star review. First, the service was amazing. We were seated and then served by Amanda, who was great. My boyfriend had listed the occasion for the tea as my birthday (yay) and she brought us over the champagne flutes (this was the "Royal" part of the tea service) and later had us select our teas (more on this later). Soon, the sandwiches and scones came, and soon after, desserts. All of this was done with a smile on her face and completely attentive to us. When we were done, we decided to stay at the bar and have one more drink, so we moved over. Once there, I headed to the restroom, only to come back and find out she had gotten me a peacock souvenir as a birthday treat. Service was great! Now, for the food and drink portion... and I say this with some knowledge, because I've had many tea services around the world and I've been in some very fine hotels as well. The food was mediocre. I mean, some things were great, like the raspberry jam for the scones, and the cucumber sandwiches were pretty good. But it wasn't that special. And the tea service itself -- it was bags of tea that you select and then you got a pot of hot water and your cup! Most fine tea services use loose tea, they steep the pot for you, and then you have great tea to drink. However, here, my options were Earl Grey and a bunch of herbal teas from a brand of tea that's pretty good, but not amazing. Again... not the best options for a tea service, especially at a hotel that claims to compete with other high-end luxury hotels. So, it was a disappointment. The dessert portion of the meal was also hit-or-miss. It was nice that there was a flourless chocolate bite, but one of the options looked (and tasted) exactly like the chef took the lemon curb and the raspberry jam and put it together in a bowl. I guess I should compliment them on not wasting food... But again, not a great option. So, 5 stars for the service. The food (or chefs) needs some re-thinking. And if the Waldorf wants to continue having a real Tea Service, they need to think again about using bagged tea for this. read more

Overpriced, under impressed. We spent Saturday evening there and decided to have dinner at the lounge. The food on the Hilton side lounge looked great so I assumed the Waldorf which was about 20% more expensive would be better. However, we were all left disappointed. My husband had the burger and some potato chips. The burger was on a croissant with one skimpy leaf of lettuce and the thinnest tomato. I had the club sandwich. If I loved bread this would've been great. The bread was very think but 4 slices of it stacked? way to much. The chicken probably added up to two ounces, no guacamole, no Gruyère. I had maybe two small diced tomatoes. I couldn't find the aoli either. It was 24$ and if you want a salad you have to add five as the side. So i basically spend $30 for bread and lettuce. My child had the mini burgers and they were so overdone the edges were black! my other child had chicken fingers. The crust was so think and over fried I actually was nervous she might choke on it. And the service....if you want a waitress with RBF (resting B face) than she is the one for you. It seemed as if we were annoying her even asking for water. My regret is that I didn't eat on the hilton side. For a dinner of over $100 it was the worst I have ever had. Avoid! read more

Upon our return we sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone approached us. We had to wave down our first waitress . In all honesty, we walked over from the Hilton and had ( almost finished) cocktails. That could be why we were completely ignored. We had full intentions of ordering new cocktails and appetizers but we never had the opportunity. By the time we flagged someone down the opportunity for food was closed so we ordered one cocktail. We were promised bar nuts and olives and 20 minutes later the nuts arrived . They were smothered with artificial flavoring and sugar, very disappointing. The olives never surfaced. Sadly we were quite nippish and it was almost 11:00 pm. It would have been better if they had just said they were closed than to promise things that they never delivered. The olives never arrived and that was the only reason we stayed after waiting 20 minutes for a cocktail. After an hour with no service we had to flag another person down to actually pay our bill. The decor is beautiful. It is sad that the training of their employees was so weak. Very disappointing ! read more
