We were gifted a weekend to this shell property! Unbeknownst to the owners and us evidently it's $60 for housekeeping and they don't house keep your room there are no fresh towels during the day you have to ask for them and plus another $20 for valet parking! So after the surprise of this monetary knowledge... We just thought OK let's just have a good time! We go to the pool and it looks like a tornado of wet towels everywhere! Then we go into the hot Jacuzzi! I scooped out three dead flies and believe me it doesn't feel good to know it's foamy with flies in it! Also I need to mention when you check-in they give you a happy hello! And then it's a hard sell because They want you to join the property! And luckily for my daughter she said you know I'm just not interested and I simply want to get to my room! We would just rather have spent more money on a regular hotel and not be hassled and hounded and surveyed over this property. And by the way if you were somehow hustled into buying this property don't go cheap! Use your points and go higher then peacock suites! read more

It's a place to lay your head, that's about it. Disappointed that the pool construction was not disclosed upon booking, only clean rooms once per 3 days, guests have to constantly call for essentials, shampoo, lotion, soap, toilet paper, clean towels,(they could include extra in the room to cover 3 days with 4 people in a room). No restaurants, valet parking, no option to self park. Push timeshare sales presentation immediately after checkin, annoying!!! Won't be back. read more

My husband and I made a reservation to stay at the Peacock Suites for one evening so we could get an early start at Disneyland the following day. We made the reservation the day before. Upon arrival, we were told our room was unavailable due to a maintenance issue, and Peacock would be paying for our reservation at the hotel next door. Of course, we were unhappy with this because we had no time to research if we were getting a comparable room or comparable value for this hotel next door. When we complained, the front desk tried to make it sound like it was our fault because we had made the reservation the day before. I asked for some sort of compensation or discount and was told that our only options were to cancel the reservation or take it. There was no acknowledgement of fault on their end (not even an empathetic apology for inconveniencing us), so we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

I stayed here with a friend about a year ago, great experience. Loved it, comfy beds, rooms were nicely stocked etc etc. On the spur of a moment Disney weekend I booked this place knowing what I was getting. I booked the king suite for my family of 4. When we checked in they said that room wasn't available due to renovations that they could give us the queen suite same price etc. it's the same room just two queen beds and sofa sleeper instead of king size bed and sofa sleeper. Okay, no biggie, we were tired and just wanted to lay down. On to the timeshare desk, 10 mins talking at 11pm with two kids ages 6&4, we've got one day at Disney after a 5 hour drive, we just want to go to bed. Again, not a huge deal, but annoying, considering the kids were just ready for bed. In the room, settling in, after about an hour or so my husband and I start itching. No bugs, no signs of dirtiness, no bites nothing, but whatever they washed those sheets in didn't jive with our skin. Night two, swap beds, mind you kids are fine, and mine have excema issues in the winter so I know when they are itchy or uncomfortable. Second queen size bed, second night, itchy again...ergh. Again, lifting mattresses, checking every corner, no sign of anything. Day 3 check out, went just fine, but annoyed with how we feel so much so that even though there was no sign of critters I put our stuff in the garage until I can get to it to wash just in case. Won't stay here again, oh and the blankets they supply you with, a sheet and what feels like a throw blanket, my husband and I froze and I'm a very warm person. Just because it's southern California doesn't mean winter nights aren't cold. read more

BEWARE: BAIT & SWITCH may be going on here!!! Your room may be much smaller and different than those shown on their website! It seems that this hotel has "renovated" in the wrong direction. Our room was tiny and not like the pictures on the website. Our hotel room had two areas- a living-room type area and a bedroom area, but it's like they took a regular-sized hotel room and put a partition up to create the two areas. The bedroom was barely big enough for the bed. There was no closet, only a wardrobe that was about 24 inches wide including drawer/shelving and not big enough to hang 2 people's clothes for a 4-day vacation in. There was no kitchenette area, only a microwave and mini-fridge on the TV stand in the living-room-area. The bathtub would not drain when we showered. They limit smoking to a very small bench area across the parking lot by where families with children were constantly loading in and out of their vehicles and the bench has spiders living in its cracks. They only provided housekeeping service one day out of the 4 we stayed there. The worst part about the hotel, though, is that they only give you one packet of coffee and charge you if you want more, and they do not provide coffee creamer other than 2 of the tiniest packets of powdered, cheap creamer. They would not let me take a few creamers from the lobby coffee area to my room but said, begrudgingly, that if I wanted to use the creamers from the lobby, I had to come down to the lobby every time I had a cup of coffee to use the creamers. Also, they no longer offer breakfast and their "breakfast room" has been turned into a presentation room where they try to sell memberships to the time-share. Everyone else staying there that I spoke to during my stay was also complaining about the rooms and the same things, even someone who works in the hotel industry who was there for a presentation. They may have a handful of "nicer" rooms that are larger and also have a full kitchenette like you see on their website, but we suspect they only assign these rooms to people who are there for the first time and considering purchasing into the time-share company that this hotel is a part of. read more

This hotel is so nice! The staff here is so friendly. The hotel has been beautifully renovated. Their rooms are so spacious and so clean! I give this hotel 4 stars just because they make you Valet your car and is a little far walk from Disneyland. Besides that the rooms have microwaves, refrigerator, wine glasses, wine openers, cups, basically everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. I was disappointed in how small the suite was. There was 5 of us, so it felt a little crowded... I think it would've been ok with a maximum of 3 people. I was hoping that since breakfast was included, it would make up for it... unfortunately, the continental breakfast was worst... the food tasted like cardboard. It did have a pool & spa, which was a plus, but the pool is small (can't do laps). My son loved it., however. Fortunately, the Disney shuttle picks up right in front of the hotel. The only option for parking is valet and it costs $8 per day (robbery!). The concierge gave us a welcome packet, but it basically were the brochures/magazines in the lobby (nothing special). Fortunately, we didn't "pay" for the room since it was a timeshare. Let's just say, I've stayed at better timeshares. read more

Paid $105 a night. You get what you paid for. If you are expecting a hot breakfast and kept up to date rooms forget it. I feel sorry for the people that have paid into the Shell HOA. What a dump! The fold out sleeper couch is faded and shedding. The lighting is not sufficient in the hallways. I would not let my kids and wife walk alone because the entrance is wide open to the public. Construction and some sort of high pitched noise was going on in the early hours of the morning. I would not recommend this place. read more

Please know this is a timeshare property! When booking this I somehow missed that detail. The staff upon arrival were very friendly and fun for the kiddos in our group however it was after a long car ride and nearing bedtime and the check in process was super long as they tried to sell you on their presentation breakfast. Hotel room was comfortable and had a microwave, small fridge and dishes. Unfortunately this is one of the loudest places I have ever stayed. We could hear every time someone walked, showered, shut a door, etc. After long days at Disney this was an issue for not only the kids but the tired adults as well. It's pretty far from the park, but shuttle stop is close however there is a fee. There is also mandatory valets that costs $10.50 and if you stay longer than 2pm on the day you check out then it's another $10.50. Staff were friendly throughout the stay but the hotel itself is not the nicest. I will not be staying here again, there are places priced the same much much closer and with a real breakfast. read more

My husband and I stayed for three nights in March to go to the park without kids. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and for us, the price was right-We're Shell owners and had points to burn so we chose the Peacock. We were a bit frustrated with the check in process-it was a Monday afternoon and we did not get into our room until after 4. We had requested an upper floor away from the ice machines and elevators. They put us on the first floor, at the street, above the pool, in the hallway with the breakfast room-Hardly a "quiet" area. That said, the staff was very polite (never were quite sure what the late check in issue was) and the location was fine for our needs-We never got in the car and used the shuttle or walked to and from Disneyland. It's an easy 10-15 min walk. We also were not shocked (even if we were a bit irritated) with the noise (it's at Disneyland, expect the noise of happy families) and were prepared for the limited breakfast. It's all we need if they had coffee and a hard boiled egg. (they had both plus cereal, breakfast rolls, bagels, juice, etc) Because we're Shell owners, we'd do it again. If not, there are hotel choices closer to Disneyland with very similar rooms/amenities to choose from further away from the road and freeway. read more

We recently traveled to Anaheim to visit Disneyland, and I was worried about the quality of the off-property hotels (after reading a wide range of reviews across the board). The Peacock Suites was probably the best value no questions asked. The rooms were in great shape, were roomy (we had a living room space that was bigger than some of the hotels we stayed in during our time in California), and were well maintained. The staff was also super friendly and helpful (although I felt like the woman who checked us in was over worked, she was solo, had 5 calls on hold, and 5 people in line when we got there-- but even with that, she rocked it!). The only ding was although it's a short walk to the parks, it's sort of an odd walk at night (the streets empty out and there aren't many lights). I didn't take a star off for that because it was sort of clear at check-in, and we had an option for a cheap bus if we wanted. All and all, a great hotel for Disney stays. read more

All in all a fantastic stay. The best part had to be the service at the front desk...Mike at the front desk took amazing care of us when we checked in. He offered a couple different room options and was so patient with all of our questions as we made our selection. And when we came back to ask for help ordering a pizza, the young lady (didn't see her name tag) again took great care of us with a couple options and menus to use and keep. The room was terrific, very roomy and quiet. The pool area was small so perfect for our little ones. And there was a really nice roof deck for lounging around. Only giving 4 stars because the continental breakfast left a little to be desired. Could have used some more choices but for the reasonable rate on the room, can't beat this place. read more

I just checked in here and I'm very happy with this hotel. I am staying in the area for business even though I just live slightly north in LA. I'm familiar with the Disneyland area since I'm an annual passholder, but I had never stayed in the area's non-Disney hotels. Last night I stayed in a less expensive hotel and was so grossed out by it that I had to leave. This hotel, without being too much more money, is a million times better. It's an actual suite with a mini-fridge and full-size microwave (both stainless steel!), toaster, electric can opener, coffee maker and Wolfgang Puck coffee & sugar, nice cabinetry and granite counter. They supply a 4-person table setting and even provide you with a dish towel and soap. The sofa in the living room area is super comfortable to relax and watch TV (or write a hotel review like I am right now), and it also folds out to a double bed. There's a flat screen TV and DVD player in both the living room and separated bedroom area. The bed seems to be firm for my taste, but is a pillowtop and seems to be good quality. My view isn't too great, being of a factory looking building next door, but I'm only here for the night, not for a great view, so I don't care. The window also opens if you want fresh air. The bathroom seems great as well although I haven't checked out the showers water pressure yet. There is a curved shower rod, which I love since it makes the shower feel bigger. I walked in to see a "bouquet" of tissue roses and a peacock-shape folded towel, it was pretty cute. They also provide a hair dryer, good quality shampoo, conditioner, soap and even make-up remover wipes. There's also a sign saying to let them know if you forgot any toiletries and they'll get you some. Overall the place is very contemporary looking and I would definitely stay here again for the price (I paid $105/night including taxes). My only complaint is that a $10 valet service is required, I'd rather park my own car and not pay the extra money. It would also be nice if there was more nighttime food options right at the hotel (breakfast is free), I'll have to walk over to Disney, about a mile away, to get something instead since I hate dealing with getting my car from valet. read more

Every year I take my son to Disneyland, just he & I. And it has become part of our tradition to stay at the Peacock Suites. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated with most offering a suite style layout with one room for the sleeping area (with a TV) and another adjoining room with TV, sleeper sofa and kitchenette area. The beds are extremely comfortable (even the sleeper sofa) and the rooms are relatively quiet. What's more, the staff is WONDERFUL! Every staff member I have encountered, from valet to maintenance, as well as front desk has been friendly. Time and again Karan, who works in the office, has been so helpful and really goes above and beyond for the guests. My son loves the pool area, which offers two hot tubs and moderate sized pool and a play fountain. The ART shuttle with service to Disneyland stops right out front and the hotel itself is right around the corner from the parks. There is a reason why this is the only hotel we stay at in the area, even when we aren't going to Disneyland. We've tried others, and nothing compares. You cannot beat the price for this resort style hotel! read more

I liked it here. I came with my mom and her friend and sons. We had a nice time there was lots to do. A nice fitness center and a pool that is heated. All the staff had a smile on there face. People on here are dramatic they see one bad thing and they make the hotel look bad. I recommend this place 100%. read more

I just came back from a seven day stay at Peacock Suites. This is my second time staying at this hotel. The first time we stayed here was great but this time around it was too noisy. We stayed in room 230, and we were able to hear every shower, toilet flush and faucet that was turned off and on by our neighbors all through out the nights of our stay. For the most part I am not a picky individual, but it was just too noisy. The hotel workers are very nice, but they can't make up for the amount of noise that we had to put up with. We will probably stay somewhere different next time we go to Anaheim. read more

Great for your money!! The customer service was great and the room was super spacious. I stayed here and then immediately went to the Flamingo hotel in Vegas and I preferred this hotel. The hotel is walking distance from Disneyland and the mandatory valet is cheaper than parking there, so the fee was no big deal. They had apples and ice water in the lobby and the breakfast was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay here again! read more

Four months later and I am still stewing a bit. The service I experienced was rude, and cost me more money. I asked the front desk about tours to LA. She sold me a mediocre tour. When the concierge, came in an hour or so later, she gave me coupons for a more detailed tour at about a 1/3 the cost. No refunds the desk told me (had to provide a cash deposit, which I am guessing is their cut). I complained to the manager, was told the front desk and concierge don't work together. Filled out the survey, sent an email, and left a voice mail to shell vacations. No response at all. The pool was freezing cold. Outdoor, but covered, so no benefits of the sun. Upon check out, it is obvious they got your money and are done with you. No offers of assistance at all. The room itself was ok. A small suite, but it was nice with 2 kids, to be able to separate a room for a bit at night. Others have mentioned thin walls, but I really didn't have that issue ( or maybe mine was the loud room). 7/11 a block away was convenient. Parking is valet only, and tight. We opted for shuttle, so we didn't deal with that. If you order food for delivery, they don't allow room delivery- so you have to go to the lobby. This wasn't explained either. It also meant that for a couple minutes I had to leave my kids alone in the room, (8 and 12, not too bad). I just don't like to do that. Overall. The price was ok. Since my husband wasn't with us, no one tried pushing the sales on me. Also could be why they didn't care at all to address my concerns, or provide any customer service. read more

We just returned from a 4-night stay at the Peacock during our Spring Break, 2013 So-Cal tour. If you don't want to read the whole review, I'll sum up: It's a great place. We were surprised by the find and will stay there again on our next trip to Disney. US: two adults, two kids, aged 9 & 11 OUR EXPECTATIONS: we booked this through a Shell Vacations owner we found on Craigslist. The price was decent (about $100 per night) and the size of the place looked as though it would suit us just fine. OUR EXPERIENCE: I won't be too negative about the $10 (+tax) parking fee, because that was expected at the time of booking. It is what it is, and the valet guys were great. Never an issue to get the car anytime of day or night (as it was, we only accessed it a couple of times). Our room was on the first floor (really the second floor off the ground) and we loved it. It's not a full suite in the sense that it's really just a large room with a sliding-door divider. The pull-out bed was probably the most comfortable pull-out I've ever slept on, and the 9 year-old said that it was more comfy than the beds. The beds were VERY comfortable. I'm picky about beds, and these were great. The noise of the place wasn't bad, but we turned off our air-con before going to sleep and one night threw some pillows at the bottom of the door to the hallway. No traffic noise at all. The location was just fine. Easy walk to Disneyland (we did the walk there-and-back SEVEN times over three days). It's 1600 steps one-way - so it's a great way to work off the extra calories that travelling incurs. (My wife and I LOST a combined 5 pounds on our 9-day trip). Kids didn't complain about the walking either until the last night. The pool is postage-stamp small, but the kids loved it. We loved using the very nice BBQs available, and the staff was happy to provide tools and even a rice-cooker for our use. Vonn's grocer is a few blocks away we found everything we needed there. Finally, the staff and guests that we interacted with (and we are the interacting types) were outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will most definitely stay at the Peacock Suites again, and will recommend it to others. read more

The staff is very nice. The room is set up very weird, it's uncomfortable. The closet is very small, which is taken up mostly by an ironing board, Moreover, the rooms are not sound insulated, you can hear everything from the people above and connecting rooms. You can even hear the staff talking in the halls. There is valet parking at $10.00 a day, which is a real pain. We will not return to this location. read more

We had an excellent stay! We had amazing customer service from the time we arrived until we left. We had two rooms reserved and needed to make adjustments to accommodate babies and pack & plays (which they provide) and they quite happily showed us a few other room options. Everyone we came across who worked at the hotel were so kind and welcoming. Our accommodations were perfect--two queen beds and sofa sleeper. Everything was very clean and the kitchenette was perfect for making meals and storing snacks. They also offered a great rate to extend our stay. Only a 10 minute walk to Disneyland. We will definitely be back! Thanks for treating us all so well. Great customer service can be hard to come by these days. read more

I would like to start by saying in the hotels' defense they advised that they cannot guarantee early check in. That being said, I called 3 weeks in advance to see if we would be able to check in earlier than 4 pm. They advised me that is not guaranteed but they will note my reservation. They even asked me what time I would like to check in and I told them 1 pm. They also advised me to call the morning before we arrive to again ask if we can check in early. I did what I was told and again I was advised they will note my reservation. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30. The front desk was great and advised that the room is being cleaned and hopefully will be ready shortly. We checked again at 2 and we were told by the front desk that to allow another 15 minutes and she will then check again to see if the room is ready. It is now 2:45 pm and we are still in the lobby with my 4 year old absolutely restless and dying for a nap. We were now told by the same front desk person that they just started cleaning the room and it may not be ready until about 4 pm (the scheduled check in time). Basically I have just been lied to the last hour and a half with no other explanation aside from we are really busy. Wish they would have just told us the truth when we arrived and I would have understood. Very poor customer service from the front desk person! On the plus side, it gave me enough time to submit this review. read more

they have done a great job remodeling this place, with the exception of the mini kitchens and the very small pool. Although its better compared to many other hotels in the area, it's still not to the standards of a time share. My husband an I stayed a week and took the boys to Disneyland for spring break. We are Elite members, so normally daily housekeeping is included, but were told us we would get two scheduled room cleanings, which was fine with us. However, on the first one, they took some spoons away and didnt replace them, and they didnt refill the tissue box. After the second cleaning (which they forgot, I called & they came at 4pm), they took the sheets for the sofa sleeper (where my boys were sleeping), a drinking glass, and one of the guest robes (which i was using) and didnt replace them. When i called the front desk to voice my concerns, they only said they were sorry but often the maids take dirty things away, but arent required to replace them. Whats that about? Not sure if we will stay here in the future. read more

i stayed here once, i live locally but needed a place to stay while our home had some construction work and my husband and i love disneyland. loved the staff!!!!!!! very friendly and kind. a man named Zach helped us, i believe he just got married, he was kind, welcoming and put us in a good mood. He did more then check us in, he had a conversation with us. he took the time to ask us what our plans were and offered disneyland advice. we got to talking and told us about his recent wedding, so personal and kind. he was working with a woman, i believe Shirley or Shelly (can't remember, sorry!) she had a great smile and wanted to make sure we knew of the dining options near by and gave us her top pics. it was wonderful to have people helping us that cared. They took the time to make our experience memorable, not just "here's your room key". very refreshing! the room was ok, nothing special. My husband and i will go back if we ever need to purely because of the service. it made our stay wonderful. thank you staff! read more

We stayed here during our recent visit to Disneyland. It was close enough to walk, but they also have a shuttle that comes every 20 minutes so it's convenient for park goers. The staff were all super friendly and willing to help, we stayed 5 nights so we had one night of maid service, and they did an exceptional job cleaning the room. They have a laundry room which is nice if you ended up needing to wash your clothes. Our room had 2 queens with a tv and a separate room with a pull out couch and tv and a small kitchen & dining area. This was great for being able to let the kids watch something and/or put them to bed without the grow ups having to tip toe around. We booked forte fly through the hotel and got a great rate. The only things we didn't like was the shower water temperature was a bit hard to adjust so it was often too hot or too cold. Also, the mandatory valet was something I could have gone with out. We didn't use our car at all during our stay but still had to pay $10+ per day for the valet service, maybe that wouldn't have annoyed me so much if we had used the car more. I wish we could have had the choice to decline the service. Over all, we were impressed by the place. We would definitely stay here again. read more
