We hired J Sewer & Drain to install a new catch basin in September 2025 after the wall of our old…read moreone collapsed. The quoting process and installation initially went smoothly. A couple of weeks later, we noticed the soil around the catch basin beginning to sink. Over time, the settling worsened to the point where part of the catch basin wall and some of our foundation became visible, which was understandably concerning. Communication was slow at first, and it took some persistence to get follow-up. Eventually, J Sewer & Drain did come out to inspect the catch basin. After their evaluation, they indicated that the installation itself appears to be sound and that the settling is likely due to soil compaction issues rather than a structural problem with the basin. Since the inspection, things seem to be stable and okay. While the situation was stressful and the communication gap was frustrating, I do appreciate that they ultimately came out to assess the issue and explain their findings. Thank you!

We've had a kitchen line full of grease for awhile now and finally decided to clear it due to water not going down anymore, the day after turkey day(imagine the dishes). Called J sewer and they showed up a few hours later to hydrojet the pipe and clear it. Took about 1.5 hours. I am going to be honest, the price shouldve been about 200 bucks cheaper than it was, but no biggie. It wouldve cost nearly triple the amount had i replaced the pipe. For insight, i was told 975 to jet for 1.5 hours and 275 for each additional hour. Plumber showed up at 3:15pm and they were done before 4:45(packing up took about ten min). There are cameras on my entire property so I doublechecked the time and yeah it was def not 1.5 hours.. I was still charged an additional 200 dollars. Another thing I wouldve liked is if they doublechecked the pipes after with a camera, Ive had hydrojetting performed at another property before so the process this time was a little different.. All in all, they did do a good job and cleared the pipe. I am a little salty about the extra 200 but no big deal, which is why I gave 4 stars. Id say, use them for bigger jobs. Smaller jobs you may want to find an independent plumber as they have much less overhead. Just my two cents.

The service team was able to fit me in same day by putting me on standby. Nick was able to diagnose, stop the leak, inspect that the leak had done no further damage, and ultimately get the water heater working within 5 minutes of his arrival. Better yet, he said it was a simple fix and did not charge me, but just asked that I keep them at the top of my list for my next job! Very friendly and presentable all the way. He also assessed my heater and said I probably had about another two years to go before needing to replace, and gave me a written quote for a new water heater and to replace the saddle valve with an angle stop. The angle stop cost was a bit high, but the water heater replacement was very reasonable (just being fair). I am definitely going to reach out to them for my next plumbing job.

Every technician I've worked with has been knowledgeable, competent, and genuinely trustworthy -- which is rare these days. I'll be honest: I was a little nervous at first because I kept reaching their emergency line over the weekend and holidays, and I wondered if they might be getting too big. But after this visit, I realized it's probably just because they're that in demand -- and I see why. They even honored a coupon I sent 30 minutes after I paid, which they absolutely didn't have to do. That level of integrity means a lot. I truly hope the owner takes great care of this team -- they deserve it. I trust this company's name completely, even with so many other 5-star plumbing companies out there. This one stands above the rest.

No, that honor belongs to the ultra-slimey GSHA Services. Would I recommend AVH? No. Why? After using them for a couple years, I became suspicious of their practices and lost trust . If you hire them to clean and check your furnace, they will come back with a list of items that need replacement or are out of spec. Even though your furnace may be operating just fine . If you choose to replace said parts, they do have the competency to do it properly. Here is the problem. At my last inspection , I received the usual list of parts that needed replacement . Absent from said list was a part that was on the list the prior year that I chose not to replace . So, did that part operating for a year out of spec, miraculously heal itself and become well again. I think not . Hence, my suspicion, and lack of trust . And when I lose trust, I can't help but take my business elsewhere . There are too many other businesses out there with impeccable ratings . So in the end it is your money. As I have stated, they do have the expertise to get the job done. The question is, is it a job you really need? If I were to hire them to do a service, I would breathe down the neck of the technician, and ask him exactly what he is checking , what are the specs, and to show you the meter reading on EVERY measurement . He won't be happy, but you will. As a final note, the furnace wasn't even cleaned after the last visit. It was left dusty and dirty .
