I needed a massage for my bad back and my regular masseuse was no longer available. After reading various yelp reviews I made an appointment with Cedric at Peak Performance. The reviews said he gives great facials so I thought, why not? I had a great massage -Cedric really knows anatomy and how to find and release all the knots (he found some I didn't know I had!) After that I had a fantastic facial. He uses dermologica products and addressed milia and extractions, too. My face was glowing for several days after. I wish I could give more stars. I got in a pretty gnarly car accident at work 2 days ago and Tracy was a true blessing! She heard what was concerning me and addressed it PERFECTLY!! My wife was sweet enough to purchase a massage for me on Valentines days from Peak Performance. I arrived there at 11:45 am for a noon appointment knowing there is always a form or two to fill out. At 12 pm a woman came out an smiled, then went back in the room. She then came back out with a client who had just finished with a massage. She asked if I had an appointment and I replied yes, for 12 noon. She asked for my name, which was nowhere to be found in their data base. She then asked who was it with and I said I believe Cedric. She said " well the good news is Cedric has an opening at 12:30 if you want it" it was 12:15 at this point so I said sure. After hearing for the next 15 minutes of two men sounding like they were watching YOU TUBE videos in the back room, talking and laughing, one man finally came out and said " how are you" walking past and leaving the office!!! At this point I just left. Without boring you with more garbage, this is best best part. Cedric had the nerve to call me and and ask if I was coming back. He also called my wife sounding like he didn't understand why we were upset. He didn't apologize or sound remorseful. He sounded like a millennial who wanted a trophy for doing nothing. He didn't acknowledge his mistake. He said "he conversates with numerous people per day". It's called an appointment book and accountability!! It sounds like Cedric still lives with Mommy and Daddy and has no idea how to run his business. The other women in the office sounds like she knows what she is doing and tried to accommodate. There are plenty of other places in the area for a massage. What was suppose to be a relaxing hour was just an hour of my life I will never get back. Grow up Cedric!!! read more

I came in for the first time, a couple of weeks ago, to receive the skin cleanse on my back. I was trepidatious at first, but was soon relaxed and ready for treatment. Cedric was respectful and explained the entire process as he went along, and I was amazed at how in-depth the whole treatment was. I had never been interested in such treatments prior arriving that day, but after a little convincing, I decided to try it out. The results were great! I left with clean skin, a healthier back, and a bit rejuvenated after the whole process. I plan on continuing treatments in the future, along with the standard massage work, and at this point, I don't think I could possibly recommend anybody else, as I often find myself recommending him to anybody that asks. The bottom line is: Cedric is thorough, pleasant, easy to work with for appointments, and so far, seems to have the right balance of time and effort in his treatments, and he really seems to know what he is doing. I've been coming to see Cedric for the last year or so already. I've seen 4 other therapists in Carmel, Monterey and Pacific Grove areas based on high yelp ratings. At the other places I felt that I had a nice, relaxing massage but not the kind I need for the type of training I do and my job. If you're an athlete who's injured or are experiencing tightness/soreness/pain, if your job is the kind that breaks your body every day or if you're doing both and want to have a solid maintenance therapy I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cedric. I saw the reviews on Yelp and thought I'd give Tracy a try - and boy am I glad I did! I had hurt myself and was having back spasms and in a great deal of pain. Tracy knew right away that the problem wasn't my back, but tight muscles. I've been going in to see her every few weeks and feel so much better. Tracy is an excellent masseuse. Very good with deep tissue and great at communicating so the pressure is just right. Easy to get to location with plenty of parking.
