I called peak for an estimate on a new roof. They seemed nice enough, but the process of getting a quote was bizarre. Be prepared for a two hour appointment to go through every option imaginable. And both you and your partner have to be present. They won't do business with you unless you are both physically present. read more

I had Peak install new fascia -- or rake -- boards and trim underneath my roof. Their price was fair. Their workmanship was very good, and their follow through to make sure I was happy was even better. Their workmanship would have been excellent if Dominion Power's failure to shutoff the electrical supply to the house, the weather and the unusual nuances of my home's construction hadn't impacted the final results. I have used Peak 3 times and each time the person that came out was professional, courteous, and efficient. They performed the repairs quickly and kept me informed on all actions they were performing. The cost was extremely reasonable and they seemed to want to keep the impact (cost) to me to a minimum. I can't express how much I was please about each encounter with this company. The latest is the reason I write this. Bruce (the tech) not only came out earlier than was scheduled but he called me ahead of time to let me know. He performed corrective actions on my gutters very quickly talking to me the whole time and telling me what he was seeing and also what corrective things that may be needed. In the end it turned out that he could fix everything at the time without requiring any new parts. I highly recommend calling Peak for any roofing or gutter need you may have. Roof repairs are never exactly "fun" for the homeowners -- from the worry about whether you'll get a trustworthy roofer to the noise and disruption of the actual process. But I've got to say, working with Mike from Peak Roofing (and with Jason, the foreman on our project) made everything as stress-free as possible! When a different roofer came by and found hail damage on our garage roof, then left us high and dry, I just gave up for awhile. But finally we looked at reviews on Yelp and checked out Peak -- and it was great! Sarah was quick to respond to all of our questions, big and little. Mike came out and gave us several options within our budget, especially when he learned I was concerned about how hot our upstairs gets (it's an A-frame). When I asked if they could fix some old soffitt vents that painters had painted over, he checked them out and--despite them being so old as to not be easily replaced--worked out an inexpensive fix for very little cost. He gave me valuable feedback as he made arrangements with my insurance company. And he was almost inhumanly patient when we postponed our project--twice-- The replacement of my roof went super smooth--if the roofers could have found a way to make it less noisy, they probably would have. Jason the foreman showed up fifteen minutes EARLY--no waiting--and they got the work done in one day, and two hours earlier than they'd estimated. He and his crew were sweet and flexible when I had to admit that I'd forgotten to move my car out of the garage, and moved pallets of shingles out of the way to accommodate my need to get to work. Not only did they remember to close all the gates to the back yard when they were done -- they cleaned up after the work so well that it looked as if we'd had a landscaping crew out! All that, and they came in at their estimated cost, and it was within my budget. It really made me wonder why I'd been so worried about having my roof done. I will absolutely contact Peak Roofing again when I need to have my back patio roof replaced, and I'm recommending them to all my home-owning friends. read more

I am giving them 5 stars for customer service and pricing. They communicate very well and follow up very quickly on any request. I hired them for a ridge vent with soffit vents and they also put a standing seam metal roof on a detached structure on my property that I use as an office. I am in construction but I do not like nor care to do roof work. I know what this type of work should costs and they came right in on my estimate. Some of their competitors were $3K over my estimate. In total I had over $5k worth of work done - metal roofs are expensive but they last twice as long and are sustainable products as they are recyclable. However not everyone can do this type of work. My first contact was on line and two foreman/managers showed up at my house two days later. We talked about what I wanted and they had some great ideas I did not think of but agreed with them as they were great ideas. This was during a very busty time for roofers as a result of the derecho storm but they started the work in less than two weeks. They quality of the work was very good with minor punch list items that were corrected quickly. They also did not request the remaining 50% of their fee until all punch list work was complete and I was happy with the end product. Quite nice to deal with owners that care about their work. Called this company after seeing them work on a neighbors roof. Roof was inspected by a representative that was friendly and knowledgeable. Estimate was give that seemed fair and we arranged for a date to get the roof repaired They came out earlier than their appointment time (which freed up my day!) and set promptly to work. They were also kind enough to check the outside of a window that had been leaking and even caulked it. In my mind, they went well beyond what was expected of them and I would recommend them to everyone. read more

I am very pleased with my experience with Peak Roofing. We noticed that our 20-year old roof was starting to leak, so we anticipated that we would replace the whole roof. Peak was the 4th contractor that we had come look at the roof. James (from Peak Roofing) was the only roofer who came out that showed me pictures of some very big issues with our roof (that weren't at all related to the leak we had noticed). I appreciated that he was honest with the issues with our roof, and that he also didn't immediately push a roof replacement (even though we were prepared for that). He earned our trust with his truthfulness and thorough inspection of our roof. They are very well-priced and very knowledgeable about their work. We had our roof replaced by them and were very pleased with the foreman and crew (Willie and Antonio). They arrived on-time and worked quickly and efficiently. They took great care to protect our house and the areas where they worked, and they were extremely thorough in their clean up job (including climbing very high into our front yard tree to remove small shingle pieces that had gotten caught!). I would highly recommend them to others looking for a roofing contractor. Very very slow in getting back to me follow a major wind storm. They installed a new roof just under 5 years ago and had damage in the recent storm. Took them 6 days to put a tarp on. Need to wait another 2.5 weeks for someone to look at the damage. Then who knows how long to wait on the final repair. The sign of a good roofer is how they service their customers after a storm. Had some warranty work done by them in order to sell my home. Have reached out to Quinn and Mike several times to get an invoice of the work that's needed to close. Either one has returned my emails and/or phone calls. We bought a foreclosed home in Chantilly, and among many things that were wrong with the house, the most serious problem with this house was a leaking roof. My father recommended Peak Roofing to me b/c he and his friend had good experience with their roof repairs. I called them for an estimate and was given a fairly competitive quote for the repair. The repair was great. They found that the plywood under the original tiles were rotting and they replaced the plywood without charging me extra. Peak Roofing is a good business. They do good work, and their prices are reasonable. More importantly, they stand behind their work.

Far, far beyond disappointing. First, their "estimate" was simply a total dollar amount (having a Ph.D. in economics I'm more than confident in stating they made a handsome profit). Second, they left a substantial amount of spent roofing nails (and trash) that caused our renter to patiently walk around the property to recover. (We sent Peak a photo of the nails in a zip lock bag.) (They had promised to remedy the problem but, in retrospect, lied - even after telling them our renter frequently cares for very young grandchildren.) Third, their electrician admitted to finding unsafe wiring in the attic but neither made safe nor made us aware in a timely manner. Fourth, without notice, they added add'l. fees for materials for which they charged 3xs market price. I'd not recommend them to anyone. read more

After getting estimates from three roofing companies, we are really impressed with Peak Roofing. From the office staff to the estimator, everyone is professional, prompt and polite. James surveyed our roof today for a new roof estimate and told us honestly that we shouldn't waste money on immediate repairs (which we thought we'd do before we get the new roof this spring). How many roofers would do that? We chose to get a quote from Peak because of the excellent Yelp reviews. But we are choosing them to replace the roof because of their superior customer service, warranties, professionalism and honesty. And guess what? I had a minor leak above my garage and called Peak to come out and give me an estimate. Their technician, James, took a look and just fixed it on the spot free of charge. I offered to pay him, offered him a drink, anything but he just said it was a quick and simple fix, showed me pictures of what was wrong and went on his way to his next appointment. HORRIBLE! My wife and I had a small leak in our roof after the storm last week. We called Peak right away because they were on the Better Business Bureau listing AND in The Best Pick Reports guide we got in the mail. They seemed like a great company but we had to call 4 times and each time we were told they didnt know why no one had gotten back to us about the estimate and they would be in touch...THEY WERENT! We finally went with a handyman we know who has contacts with roofers. We realize he will mark it up for his cut but he CALLS back, comes when needed and does good work. We cant say the same for Peak! Funny thing....we will need a whole new roof this year, not just a patch and so will our entire neighborhood which has 15 year roofs and this is year 15....and we will be sure that our HOA and neighborhood know NOT to use PEAK! Guess they have enough business! Hope it holds them in tough times. I also work for a govt agency in HR recommending all sorts of stuff to new hires....wont recommend Peak to folks who need roofs! read more

Our roof developed a leak during a rainstorm with a strong wind. We were refered to Peak Roofing Contractors by an agent from our insurance company. The estimator arrived promptly as scheduled and gave us an estimate, including photos, with a complete explanation of the work needed. We had somewhat of a problem scheduling the repairs as the company scheduler was on vacation, but after several phone calls, we reached one of the owners who immediately made the arrangements. The repair technician arrived ahead of schedule, completed all of the items on the work order professionally and timely. If needed, we will not hesitate to use Peak Roofing Contractors in the future. read more

This is a GREAT company, I cannot praise them enough. I have been very slow in posting a review (like a few years late) but wanted to post now. In 2008/2009 (can't remember which) they did an estiment to replace my roof and replace some boards on the side of my house. Their bid was amazing compared to others I had received. The people I spoke to and met were very nice. They came over and replaced my roof and the side boards in one day. When they went to put back up the electrical wires from the side board there was an issue due to the age of the wires. Per my electric company they stated Peak should be responsible for replacing them. I thought I was going to have to argue with them to have this done but the supervisor at my house when I asked about it just said yes their electrician was on his way, no fight at all!! I have had no issues with my roof and am very pleased. I plan to use them in the future when I have my windows and siding replaced. I wish all contractors were this honest, priced right and did great work like Peak Roofing. read more
