I was hesitant to go because I have absolutely no experience strength training and felt a bit out of my league but Lamonte was very welcoming. Im sure Lamonte has a lot of clients but he always remembers where I am in my fitness journey, consistently guides me towards my heath goals, and has a wealth of knowledge. I made 1 phone call about private sessions. It lasted sub 10 minutes. I explained what I was looking for. We exchanged a few text messages. Then I spent a month of mostly private sessions with Coach LaMonte. I got stronger, was able to calculate body fat % before/after, learned more about my body, other exercises, some back pain I experienced, etc. The entire experience was exactly what I was looking for. So glad I checked this place out. It's tucked away in a small commercial/industrial area but very convenient to find and park right in front. I really like the space as it's small but comfortable. Where do I begin: LaMonte has a great gym. It's not too crowded and has ample equipment. He provides a variety of programs to fit your health needs from one on one training, to small group fitness. He also offers nutrition plans and helps you stay on track. His coaching and what he offers are definitely worth the price. I've lost about 3% body fat (from 26 to 23) and I lost 9lbs (from 150 to 141) since January! LaMonte really motivates you when you're having a hard time. I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had to add this for anyone that is looking to join this crossfit gym. I have worked in the fitness industry for over 8 years, and find most people that are passionate about working out are nice and out going people. The owner Lamonte was not friendly or welcoming. I went in and had my first assessment which went OK, not great because he didn't really explain anything to me and was very pre occupied. Then he emailed me inviting me back to try out a class. When I came back he didn't remember me, and invited me back on a day that was an advanced class which I clearly wasn't ready for. He said hesitantly "I guess I can fit you in. " then told me to go warm up. Everyone was very clicky and not open to new members which is hard in an already over whelming atmosphere. I would recommend checking out arrow crossfit first. read more

I love to read reviews and write reviews for both good and bad service. First off, the people that I had to work with where friendly, but oh SO Disorganized! I bought a Livingsocial deal that was $200 for 8 ONE hour personal training sessions. They were supposed to take my measurements the first day and track my progress. This never happened, no one ever took my measurements. I had the same "trainer" the first 5 sessions, and I say "trainer" because she attended the gym but was not actually qualified as a trainer. It's like LaMonte just through me at her because he didn't have enough time. I don't know what happened to her, because the last two sessions were given by someone else, again not a qualified trainer, just someone that attends the gym. On top of it all, the last two sessions were cut short by 30 minutes! It takes FOREVER to get in touch with LaMonte to schedule sessions. I contacted Livingsocial and said since I had already partially redeemed the voucher there was nothing else I could do. In other words, since they already have my money, who ares if I am not getting what I PAID for. Bottomline, DO NOT waste your money here. It really is just a waste. I will not attend this place again OR purchase from Livingsocial. read more

This month marks my 1 year at CF Peak Performance and I have nothing but positive things to say about the place. LaMonte, the owner/coach who introduced me to CrossFit is an awesome coach who possesses all the tools for success in CrossFit. I owe my passion for the sport of CrossFit to LaMonte. The staff (Ameer, Chris, and Joe) are all well qualified with great enthusiasm, energy, and provide great encouragement to clients of all levels. They have all provided me the necessary tools to truly succeed in getting "in shape". The facility is good sized and all the workouts i have experienced accommodated all the athletes with the necessary equipment. There is a great turf area utilized for sled pulls and prowler pushes, and space behind the facility for sprints, running and super fun team WODs (Work Out of the Day). The CrossFit community (members) there are all supportive of each other and all egos are checked at the door! It makes the workout experience much more positive and enjoyable compared to the other CF gyms I have worked out at. The atmosphere is very family friendly and everyone is always very positive and upbeat. I suggest youcome in and catch the CrossFit bug. It is definitely not just hype, it works! I had always wanted to try out Crossfit but wasn't sure if I would like it. When I had a chance to try out Crossfit Peak Performance for a month, I fell in love with it from my first day. Everyone from the staff to the people that workout there are very nice, encouraging, and are always there to motivate you. When they say that Crossfit can be addicting, I can honestly say that I am addicted and Peak Performance it a great place to workout at. I have been CrossFitting at Peak for 2 years now and could not be happier with my experience and the results I have achieved. This place is incredible! I'm a full time wife, mother and R.N., with little time to work on myself. I started with Peak a little over a year ago. The first thing they asks me was not about my weight or strength or fitness level, but what were my goals! Peak understands fitness as a whole person concept and not just how much weight you can lift or how fast you are. They counseled me on nutrition for myself as well as my family, with the understanding that fitness is a lifestyle and not a fad. I was so intimidated by the work outs I saw people doing that I was nervous every time i walked in the gym. But they scale the work out to your current fitness (or lack there of) level and encourage you to improve from there. They took the time to teach me to use weights correctly. The first time I had to run a mile and was dragging, I was shocked to see the trainer( who ran with us) come back for me and finish my run with me. I love the team mentality and strong sense of community that Peak encourages. What I love best is the results! Proof is in the pictures! I've lost 30 lbs and 3 pants sizes! More than what I've lost is what I've gained. I've gained a community that is genuinely concerned when I don't show up ( accountability), strength ( I can do pull ups now ), endurance, flexibility, confidence and a love of fitness.
