Nice little place. It's right there where you get off the ferry, nice option for breakfast before exploring the island. No restrooms inside but there are public ones across the street down the stairs. The meat sandwich with sausage on toast was tasty.

Super cute cafe with tons of fresh and packaged food options along with beverages! The homemade cinnamon roll was so good I ate it before taking a picture! They also have island-type gifts you can buy!

This is a great little spot for a quick bite on your way to or from the ferry port. I stopped in this morning with a couple friends for a late breakfast/early lunch. I was looking forward to ordering one of the egg sandwiches, but we were a little late for the breakfast menu (note that breakfast only runs until 11:30am). Instead, we ordered coffee, an apple pastry, and some sandwiches. The baked goods are made fresh daily. And me and a friend split a ham and cheese sandwich and a turkey avocado one. The sandwiches were fresh and simple, and served with some coleslaw.

Cute cafe conveniently located right at the ferry port on Peaks Island. Initially went for breakfast, but found out that the grill closed at 11:30am. Instead, my friend and I split two sandwiches: ham/swiss and turkey/avocado. Sandwiches came furnished with a side salad. All of the food was delicious - like sandwiches mom would make, but with the freshest ingredients. The cafe also offers an assortment of pastries, baked fresh daily. The cafe offers a range of coffee and tea, but basics only. Don't expect to order any specialty drinks. Service was very friendly, like most of Peaks Island. Stop in to grab some grub before exploring the island!

Take the ferry to Peaks Island some guy tells me...rent a bike and ride around the island he tells me....go there for the reggae fest on Sundays he says.....WHY DIDN'T ANYONE MENTION Peaks Cafe!?! We got off the ferry around 2pm and were absolutely famished....so we crawled up the hill from the ferry looking for something reasonably priced and quick....checked yelp for some help.....DAMN YOU YELP!!!! Only $$$ places? Saw Peaks Cafe, checked it out....solid. They do simple sandwiches, some breakfast stuff, and coffee. Simple, reasonably priced (especially for AN ISLAND!), and friendly staff. Plus they have a cool little outside seating area. It's ideally located right up the street from the ferry landing. Apparently their lox is popular because they were out of it when I arrived and I was sad. Instead I tried the crab roll, twas solid. My lady got the chicken waldorf sandwich which was BOMB! If you're cheap like me, and don't want to sit down to a fancy meal, and just want a quaint little coffee shop....go to Peaks Cafe.

They ran out of cinnamon rolls :( buuut they have this Beautiful Outdoor Seating :)

Cute little Cafe - they ran out of the famous cinnamon rolls so I missed my chance. Everything else was okay. It's a cute little cafe.

When you see the line out the door, don't despair, as the line moves relatively quickly and people are generally mindful to not dawdle, so seating opens up quickly as well. I tried the jalapeno cheddar biscuit, the rhubarb scone, and had a bite of the rhubarb hibiscus pie. Everything was amazing, the platonic ideal of a biscuit and a scone. And I am weak for anything rhubarb, so the generous amount of rhubarb in the scone really did the trick. The rhubarb hibiscus pie has quite a bit of that botanical hibiscus flavor but I liked it! It might not be for everyone, though. Their coffee is also really good, and a perfect accompaniment to their excellent pastries. I also have to give props to their staff and how friendly and welcoming everyone was despite being totally slammed at all times. I know if I was working at a place as busy as Tandem I'd be way more frazzled than they came off. Anyone who knows me knows that I hate waiting in line for things, but this place is efficient enough and the food/coffee was so excellent that I actually didn't resent the line. I'd even wait again! It's that good.

We tried out the egg and cheese biscuit, the savory loaded biscuit, and two flavored lattes (one brown sugar cinnamon and the other maple). Loved both of the biscuits but had a slight preference for the egg and cheese one. Both biscuits were soft and buttery yet crisp with the best salt on top. We got there right at opening on a weekday and there was already a long line to enter, but the staff moves everyone through quickly. It is worth noting that indoor seating is very limited and there is more outdoor seating. We decided to purchase some of their coffee beans as a gift. Tandem is very popular for good reason and well worth visiting, whether as a tourist or as a local.

To start off I enjoyed a Morning Bun Latte while my wife got the Honey & Juniper Latte. Both came out perfect temperature with well done latte art and delicious taste. My wife was obsessed with their pottery mugs that the lattes came served in. Food wise we were looking to split everything and it worked perfectly. We ended up choosing French Toast, Soft Scrambled Eggs, and the Fried Potatoes side. Every dish would be an absolute no brainer for us to order again. Every bite of food kept us wanting even more. Lastly we grabbed a chocolate croissant to go and that was just as tasty and enjoyed it after our visit. After this visit it is certainly a new favorite spot of ours, and look forward to coming back! Worth your time visiting!

And when I want something on the cooler side, I love that they have a nitro cold brew for that extra smooth finish. Despite how busy they always are, their service never wavers. It did not disappoint at all and deserves all the hype/love it gets from the reviews. Tucked away in an area that is mostly industrial/business headquarters area. You will easily spot it though from the beautifully done artwork on the wall. It is a small building so hopefully you can time it well to avoid huge rush/crowds. They had roughly 7-8 tables with some 2-person and some 4-person tables if you are looking to enjoy your food here. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and welcoming. They had so many tempting sounding breakfast sandwiches it was difficult to pick. I ended up going with their breakfast burrito and my wife got the Pine Point. Both were phenomenal and would be no brainers to order again, but with so many choices we would likely choose other new ones. My wife loved the bread used and the corned beef were perfectly made! The breakfast burrito was packed full with zero complaints. Drink wise we each got an iced latte, my wife got the mocha and I got the honeycomb latte. Both were very solid with a good amount of flavor to them. Lastly before leaving we each picked out a donut to have when we got home, a blueberry and a Maine maple. Definitely a spot we look forward to returning to in the future. Add this to your places to check out as a local or tourist!
