Nice little place. It's right there where you get off the ferry, nice option for breakfast before exploring the island. No restrooms inside but there are public ones across the street down the stairs. The meat sandwich with sausage on toast was tasty.

Super cute cafe with tons of fresh and packaged food options along with beverages! The homemade cinnamon roll was so good I ate it before taking a picture! They also have island-type gifts you can buy!

This is a great little spot for a quick bite on your way to or from the ferry port. I stopped in this morning with a couple friends for a late breakfast/early lunch. I was looking forward to ordering one of the egg sandwiches, but we were a little late for the breakfast menu (note that breakfast only runs until 11:30am). Instead, we ordered coffee, an apple pastry, and some sandwiches. The baked goods are made fresh daily. And me and a friend split a ham and cheese sandwich and a turkey avocado one. The sandwiches were fresh and simple, and served with some coleslaw.

Cute cafe conveniently located right at the ferry port on Peaks Island. Initially went for breakfast, but found out that the grill closed at 11:30am. Instead, my friend and I split two sandwiches: ham/swiss and turkey/avocado. Sandwiches came furnished with a side salad. All of the food was delicious - like sandwiches mom would make, but with the freshest ingredients. The cafe also offers an assortment of pastries, baked fresh daily. The cafe offers a range of coffee and tea, but basics only. Don't expect to order any specialty drinks. Service was very friendly, like most of Peaks Island. Stop in to grab some grub before exploring the island!

Take the ferry to Peaks Island some guy tells me...rent a bike and ride around the island he tells me....go there for the reggae fest on Sundays he says.....WHY DIDN'T ANYONE MENTION Peaks Cafe!?! We got off the ferry around 2pm and were absolutely famished....so we crawled up the hill from the ferry looking for something reasonably priced and quick....checked yelp for some help.....DAMN YOU YELP!!!! Only $$$ places? Saw Peaks Cafe, checked it out....solid. They do simple sandwiches, some breakfast stuff, and coffee. Simple, reasonably priced (especially for AN ISLAND!), and friendly staff. Plus they have a cool little outside seating area. It's ideally located right up the street from the ferry landing. Apparently their lox is popular because they were out of it when I arrived and I was sad. Instead I tried the crab roll, twas solid. My lady got the chicken waldorf sandwich which was BOMB! If you're cheap like me, and don't want to sit down to a fancy meal, and just want a quaint little coffee shop....go to Peaks Cafe.

They ran out of cinnamon rolls :( buuut they have this Beautiful Outdoor Seating :)

Cute little Cafe - they ran out of the famous cinnamon rolls so I missed my chance. Everything else was okay. It's a cute little cafe.

Let's start at the beginning- Just because the roll-down…read moredoor is closed doesn't mean the bagel shop is closed. That was my first error as I went by this place a handful of times. It's wasn't until I saw someone emerge from the double doors to the left of the roll-down that I realized that the business was open. Not that they need any help getting people inside (it was HOPPING) but a sandwich board outside perhaps would show that the business is open inside? I went in and immediately everyone was friendly and chipper. Ordering was simple enough but be prepared, they sell through some things, understandably as this place is very popular. I got an espresso and a toasted herb bagel with plain cream cheese. Ive been all over Bath, Brunswick, Rockland, and Camden and was convinced that the New Englander's palates were shot. Not a single business has served me a decent espresso. Not a single one until I stopped at Dutchman's. FINALLY a bright, clean shot that doesn't taste like someone put a cigar out in it. Everyone needs to take notes. THEN we get to the bagel....didn't think I was about to have the best bagel of my life, yet here I am. Light, toasted, slightly chewy but not heavy... jeez. Can we talk about the space? It's gorgeous. Airy, cool, industrial...but the people running it make it feel homey. We can talk about the restaurant they're putting in next door too but let's be realistic, if they use any of the blueprint they're currently operating off of, they're not going to have any issues (Omg the pizza oven!) The view alone will stop you in your tracks. I'm all in on Dutchman's. I bought the merch. I have a tee shirt and a beanie and the only reason I don't have a hoodie is because they were sold out in my size. What else is there to say... 10/10 No notes.

As soon as I walked up I was bummed to see they had no egg or cheese, which is what I was planning to order. Instead, I went with the Turkey Lurkey. It's not something I'd typically order but it was delicious. It was a bit messy so eating it in the car was a mistake lol. I also got a cold brew coffee. My order was $17 for those two things, which is expensive, but the quality of the food and coffee was very good and I'd much rather give my money to this business than a large corporation like Starbucks. I saw another review give 3 stars because they are comparing their bagels to NY/NJ style bagels. I'm originally from NJ, and yes I prefer those style bagels, but that is NOT what Dutchman's is going for. These are Wood-Fired bagels, and yes they do have a more bread like texture but I thought they were delicious and made for perfect sandwich bagels. I went on a Thursday morning and there was no line so service was quick. I was in and out in about 10 mins.

The pictures of the bagels and bagel breakfast sandwiches was a big selling point. Once we got inside and saw the specials board it was an even better choice to swing in. For seasonal drinks they had a honey cinnamon latte as well lavender latte. As well as their current seasonal cream cheese being honey lavender flavor. Line was long and place was packed by the time we got here but line did move quickly! My wife got a salted bagel with the honey lavender cream cheese and an iced lavender latte. I got a plain bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage and an iced honey cinnamon latte. Despite the line moving quickly the wait for our order did take significantly longer including many who ordered after us receiving food and drinks quicker. I think we would take advantage of online ordering next time! Both drinks were tasty and bagel breakfast sandwich was tasty. My wife loved the cream cheese but wished the bagel was not as tough. Overall the bagels being made in their wood fire oven give such a great crisp. Despite not being our original destination they delivered a far superior experience than our first stop. I would return and look forward to trying even more from Forage!

I had wanted to add pickled onion but saw it was $1.95, so I skipped that. We both got sea salt bagels, cream cheese-requested on the side, and add ons of bacon, at $2 each bagel. We received 1 bagel with bacon. Cream cheese was on the bagels and it was very little, parts of my bagel had no cream cheese at all. I guess that's why it wasn't on the side because then it would have been a decent amount. I kind of feel bad writing bad reviews and complaining, but I tipped them 15% and everything is so expensive now (ie. the pickled red onions). The bagels were $7.90 each for a bagel, very minimal cream cheese and bacon add on. I was going to leave 2 stars but the bagels were edible & 1 of the bagels was almost the correct order, & when my husband called & told them, they said they would refund our $2, so I landed on a 3. Hopefully we do get the refund because we don't have it as of writing this. I just wish I could re-do the tip amount.
