    Moldy tomatoes
    Caroline P.

I've used Peapod for several years. When I first started, it was wonderful. Cheerful friendly drivers and efficient and friendly customer service. Any issues with quality were fixed quickly. Recently, freshness has nosedived. I received two packages of hoagie rolls that expired on the 5th. My order was for December 3. When I called Customer service, they advised me that their freshness was guaranteed for two days. Two days?! I can understand that for some fresh and/or organic items, but for processed foods, that's unacceptable. A dozen eggs I received on December 30 had a use by date of December 7. Three weeks prior. Also on December 30, I received a package of moldy tomatoes. Emailing customer service now results in a form letter. I have not even addressed the delivery problems. For the last several months they are always late- and not by just a few minutes. Between bad quality, lateness and out of stock items, they have become unreliable in every aspect. I've sadly cancelled my account. I will miss the old Peapod.

I believe I just found my go to place to support my new healthy habit. Health Pack Meals provides…read moreyou with the most delicious nutritionally nourishing meals in the area. And it is just simply delicious. You get your grain base, protein, hot veggies and your choice of delicious toppings. The offerings are also true to their ethnic origins. As an example, the beef birria was so flavorful with just enough spice to give it the extra kick. Additionally, for those gym bros and gals, where protein is the key to building those muscles, one serving of the protein provides up to 57 grams. The co- owners, brother and sister duo, Lev and Suzy are super duper nice. They will gladly explain to you in great detail what goes on into making the entrees, the sides and the topping. They are both really passionate about what they sell so for sure you are assured you are getting a quality meal. The place is small with about two to three tables but if the weather is nice, you can definitely sit outside and enjoy your food right on the premises.

I came with the intention of doing a grab and go, of course that didn't happen. I ended up chatting with the owners - great chat. I ordered a Premium Bowl. My selections include one of the following: Greek Chicken Kabobs, Lamb Kabobs, Steak Kabobs, Cajun Jumbo Shrimp, or Salmon Filet. I was going to get Salmon but decided on the Lamb Kabobs instead. Before I ordered, they informed me that it was being made fresh so the wait would be 10 minutes. I had the time and decided I would eat in at one of their tables. I had them add some additional carbs to my bowl - rice, black beans and sweet potato, and some veggies - carrots, cucumber, avocado, and pineapple salsa on the side, which turned out to be delicious, although I still miss the mango version. My dish was full of colors - healthy stuff, and I couldn't wait to dig in. I have always enjoyed the dishes I have had there and can't wait to go back. Before I left, I decided to order a few of their frozen meals to go. Directions on how to thaw them were on each package. They have a meal subscription service, and I feel this is a great way to test the waters first. I'll share my thoughts on the ones I tried - that will be a future review. Excellent service as always.

Why is it so thick and gross looking? I thought it was supposed to be more liquidity. It's the only dressing I like next in line is their oil and vinegar options. However, I have not seen the oil and vinegar here. Maybe it's only in Seattle that you get the option. It's well maintained and cleaninside from the veggies and fruit area down to their meet, cold cut, counter service, and the varuous food isles. I can always find what I'm looking for. Or, maybe it's because I buy the same things all the time, so I can stick within my budget and not spend a whole lot of money unnecessarily. This Whole Foods is one of Amazon's return centers, which is another convenience for the Kentlands and surrounding neighborhoods. The staff is very helpful whenever I have questions in their heath section. Overall, Whole Foods is a great place to shop for your household needs.

My last order included a Chicken Pot Pie that just had an inflated crust, not even a 1/4 lb. of chicken, and also I had ordered two 2 lb. beef briskets for grilling, that had over 12 0z. of fat on each brisket, combined, almost 2 lbs. of fat, that was concealed in the packaging from the labeling, premium pricing though!!
