Before I ordered, they informed me that it was being made fresh so the wait would be 10 minutes. I had the time and decided I would eat in at one of their tables. I had them add some additional carbs to my bowl - rice, black beans and sweet potato, and some veggies - carrots, cucumber, avocado, and pineapple salsa on the side, which turned out to be delicious, although I still miss the mango version. My dish was full of colors - healthy stuff, and I couldn't wait to dig in. I have always enjoyed the dishes I have had there and can't wait to go back. Before I left, I decided to order a few of their frozen meals to go. Directions on how to thaw them were on each package. They also finally updated the order status update info on their website which continued to state 11-1 until 4:20. I requested a cancellation, a full refund and a confirmation E-Mail and still got nothing. Clearly they are unprofessional, understaffed, and run a terrible operation. I've had drivers who were on time, or extremely early..which can be a plus (unless you're coming from somewhere else and now are rushing to meet the driver...btw, sorry bout dat, so enjoy that $ tip). All the drivers have been professional and extremely helpful....especially since they don't mind climbing 4 flights of stairs to get to my apt. There's an elevator, but its on the other side of my building and requires several security key entries to get to my apt...great for feeling safe..but a pain in the butt when I have deliveries. Thankfully, I haven't had any major hiccups with this service..but I also know the difference between what to order within the grocery service, and what to pick up at the store myself. I also really appreciate that they recycle their plastic bags. I usually bring my own eco friendly grocery bag to the driver and fill it with my order (while simultaneously checking my order-(pro tip alert), and the drivers gratefully takes back the emptied plastic bags to the company to be recycled. Overall, I highly recommend for its convenience but double check your order and receipt..and if your driver was awesome, make it rain with a nice tip..

My husband is a very 'simple' eater so I wanted to know if the Chef could also prepare something 'simple' like Potato Au Gratin. Whew....he did and it was sooooooo good! He arrived at our home in what I call his mobile kitchen (because he had everything in it that one could imagine), introduced himself to us and got down to business. We had a few small plate items, entree and dessert. He talked to us while he prepared the meals and it simply felt like he was a friend. It did not feel weird or awkward having him in our kitchen at all. It was great! He gave us tips on cooking at he prepared meals and spoke to us more about who he was (in and out of the kitchen). That's just not true but I understand the frustration that led to a misunderstanding. I know the owner/chef was busy and working to try improve their marketing, ordering app, and communications. It's a small business so you just have to contact her directly if there is an issue and she will take care of it. I did that every time and I was patient because I want this good cooking to last to feed my family. Seems like great people. I've spoken to her and met the staff who deliver food to my house. The veggie burgers were dry, bland and didn't have all the listed toppings. The mac and cheese burger was dry with only 2 mac and cheese noodles. It was disgusting and the crinkle fries were soggy. The chocolate cake tasted like boxed devils food. We've had Guy Burgers on cruise ships in the past so we had high hopes. This was trash. Never again. Deserves 0 stars. This place wouldn't last a week if it were permanent.
