The service was really good as the server took the time to cover the specials, gave some recommendations and answer our questions. She brought out everything quickly and checked on us often. The restaurant is well lit and very clean. The furniture is very nice and comfortable. The food was tremendous. I had the whole snapper which was cooked nicely and was so tender. The pasta my daughter had was good and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. My wife's steak was cooked exactly as requested and was tender and tasty. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a sweet hostess and led to our table. The atmosphere is decorated beautifully. The lamps on the table have different settings to help with ambiance. And the food was some of the best we've had since moving to Florida! My 8 year old and I shared the ribeye audit was cooked to medium rare perfection. My other son got the kids grilled shrimp and it was cooked well too, which usually doesn't happen with kids meals. After hearing so much about this restaurant, we had a chance to try it and we had a great experience. Food was delicious, pricey but very tasty. They have a great variety of dishes, drinks, appetizers, etc. so many options. Unfortunately our reservation was for 7:30pm on a Saturday and they were able to get our table ready almost around 8pm, bar was full so we just had to wait. It was very busy and food took some time. Although this is definitely a preferable location given its adjacency to downtown Pensacola. The drinks were outstanding. Everyone raved about the scallops. I will definitely be re-ordering the crab avocado salad. It was off the charts. The mushrooms and brussels sprouts were amazing. and the Australian ribeye was delicious. My husband felt it was the best steak he's had. I had some fatty pieces so i wasn't as enthused but the good pieces I had were absolutely delicious melt in your mouth. Had a reservation and sat at a small table for two it was up away from other tables so not cramped. Inside was very cool and fancy casual if that is a thing. The pork belly was cooked well and had lots of flavor. The scallops were kinda a miss, as much as the plate was there were only four scallops to enjoy. The addition of all the spaghetti squash and parsnip puree sweet potato slivers were majority of the plate and the scallops were well cooked. There could have been like two more servings of scallop and less fru-fru. The red snapper was a good, well cooked whole fish. One side was missed on the descaling, not end of the world but no fun getting scales and a bite. Dessert was a let down as well. Key lime pie cheese came was literally key lime pie on top of cheese cake. And I am really getter tired of "special flavor" creme brulee, why reinvent the wheel...the sugar crust was robust but the filling was more like a pudding not a strong set custard. No flavor of "earl grey" was noted. I did appreciate the use of real vanilla beans as the seed flecks were at the bottom of the ramekin. Our server was nice and there was a good wine selection. Alesha is a great server with a great personality, extremely knowledgeable and about the menu and the bar. There were 4 of us with me the food allergies and plus a plant based non meat/fish eater. Alesha took time to get all my allergies and helped keep the chef informed. Although I had spoken with Trevor the day before because of cautious review my order had to be changed due to my soy allergy. Nothing that came to the table that night was a disappointment. The bartenders are awesome and will make you great off the menu drinks if you ask them to surprise you. This is my third visit to Pearl and Horn, and it is officially a must-visit when I'm visiting the area. The oysters, cocktails, and entrees are all incredible. My parties have had at least 8 different oyster dishes there during our visits, over the course of a year, and never had a bit of shell or grit. They're perfectly shucked and delicious every time. We stayed in Pensacola for three nights and the second night we went to George's and the third night we went to Pearl and Horn. We decided to sit at the bar at Pearl and horn. We were helped by Kelly and her trainee Emerson who did an excellent job. We had the chips and caviar and a dozen oysters and a couple drinks. The drinks were out of this world, and we were especially pleased by the tamarindo limbo which was one of the best drinks I've ever had in my entire life. It was very clearly expertly crafted and very surprising and intriguing. It was unlike anything I've ever tried before. I would absolutely recommend to come here just for Kelly alone. She was amazing and even crafted us a special shot. Highly recommend. Btw- the choice between the peanut butter, explosion and tuxedo cake is an impossible choice. I had made the reservation the day before since there were so many places to pick from and when we arrived on time, our table wasn't ready yet so we waited. The guys all went to the bar to take a look but when we first entered it was very crowded but still both dining rooms were very spacious and beautifully decorated. After waiting about 15 minutes for the staff to clear the table for us, after the guests had finished sipping their wine and decided to leave, we finally got seated promptly by the hostess. Our server, Kat came over to greet us after talking to the table next to us and brought us all waters to start before coming back to take our drink orders and apps. Kat paced us through the service very well and offered lots of great recommendations! It was so funny that she talked about the Ramos Gin Fizz and actually had my fiance and a groomsman go to shake the drink with the bartenders since she found out they were also bartenders! We really enjoyed everything we ate and the food was spectacular, I would come back! I had the scallops--perfectly cooked, buttery, and the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate your life choices. My husband had the flounder and was suddenly too busy "mmmhmm-ing" to hold a conversation, which tells you everything you need to know. The drinks did not miss either. The Figgy Old-Fashioned was smooth, bold, and dangerously easy to love. My husband put away several porters and gave each one an enthusiastic nod of approval, which is basically his version of a five-star review. And just when we thought we were done, the raspberry cheesecake arrived like the grand finale of a fireworks show--sweet, rich, and worth every single bite. It's the cutest restaurant I've been to in a while. It was very busy but not too loud, so we were able to talk all night. Our waitress was nice- but she was busy- sorry I forget her name. We ordered Steak Tartare, Crawfish Corn Chowder, Seafood Fries and lamb chops. For drinks, we both got the Figgy Old Fashioned and I also ordered The Pearl. The Pearl was my favorite of the two cocktails. We also received a piece of chocolate cake for our anniversary on the house. It was nice. The only issue we had was the seafood Fries. I sent mine back because the fries were not hot. But they fixed it and got me fresh fries and a new plate. I will say that next time I would order something different. I didn't prefer the "crunchier" fries with my seafood. I wish they were bigger and softer. Overall this place is amazing and I would definitely go back if I was ever in town again. It's a great place for an anniversary dinner, engagement dinner, dinner with the girls, hanging out with the guys, birthday dinner or just to spend some time alone. I liked the crunch the sweet potato ribbons added as other components of the dish were soft. My boyfriend got the ribeye, and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. We came back a week later for a birthday dinner that was held in a private room and that was just as great. Our waitress told us that back area is sometimes booked for $1500! The fries were a huge portion, which we loved, and the sauce with the shrimp was so so good. For entrees, I tried the Risotto and Bucatini pasta with shrimp and both were phenomenal. The risotto was probably my favorite, but the bucatini was nice and zesty! Definitely very lemony. My fiancé enjoyed the filet mignon and lobster roll which were also so delicious. The smoke and marrow broiled oysters were so delicious and we were also able to try a buffalo milk buratta (not on the menu) that was so fresh. Just the appetizers were enough to impress, but the entrees blew us away. I have never had scallops cooked so perfectly and every other flavor on the plate balanced so well. The cocktails were very good, but the champagne problems tasted like straight ginger beer. Our waiter was able to answer any questions we had and offer some insights of his own. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and when they were out of the dessert we initially wanted, he sent us home with a chocolate cake for our 5 year anniversary. The place felt very intimate but lively. There was lots of antique decor I'm a sucker for a wall sconce. We came in dressed casually but you could most certainly dress up if you wanted to.
