Pearl Dynasty is one of Pearland's OG Chinese food restaurants. I would say they've been around a little less than 20 years, so well before Pearland grew into what it is now. It is located in a shopping complex shared with a big name grocery store and a few other businesses. When choices were limited for this type of cuisine, it was a once or twice a year take out spot for me. Then competition came and I explored other places. Recently we decided to pick up some food to go and remembered why it was never a regular in the rotation. The food here is all your quintessential Americanized Chinese food. The place looks exactly how it looked way back in the day. The dining area is a decent size but it looks like they do alot of to go orders. Customer service is ok. You get straight business without all the pleasantries. The food is basic. Not bad, but nothing stands out. The fact that this place has stood strong for all these years means they got a loyal following. For me, there's just too many other great options in very close proximity that will keep me from coming back anytime soon. read more

This Place is unsanitary and dirty. We found a roach in the sugar container and when we reported it to a member of staff, he killed it right on our table with his bare hands. Our waiter finally came to our table, and we told him what he did and said they had just fumigated and that's why there were roaches. He never once apologized for the incident. We paid our bill and left zero tip for the unsanitary conditions. read more

What a pleasant surprise to find this place by pure accident. I was looking for an option to the normal stuff during "Lent Season" and this popped up!! Spacious restaurant with nice Chinese assortment of decor and traditional flair! I was here during lunchtime and tried the lunch special. I wasn't disappointed at all, yummy eggdrop soul and also had delicious crab puffs that were astounding! Sweetened fresh outer shell and softlicious creamy fillings!! One of the Bestest I've ever eaten!! Then came my Shrimp Cashew Almond ding which was equally satisfying and delicious!! Great portions and prices for the special too!! Fast and friendly service with a very clean and sanitized restaurant as well. They had serving utensils in plastic sleeves and even had table napkins on a plastic protector too. Nice added touch for those of you that are "Germaphobes"!!! Plenty of parking in this strip center and more n more people coming and sitting down for their food! I first became aware of Pearl dynasty in 2013 and have found that every since that day in 2013 I've always liked their food a lot and would invite anybody who's interested and some good Chinese food this is definitely place to go. My brother came from California to visit. I took him straight there and he can't wait to go back when he comes back to Texas. read more

I ordered online takeout to where there was an option to tip in which I did pursue a substantial tip that added to my total. It was a pay at location transaction. I picked up my food and signed the receipt where I left a no tip and just paid for what was agreed upon through online arrangement through my credit card. For this review I'll start off with the service, because it was excellent. My server Noe greeted me right away and sat me by the window. He was super friendly and helpful-pointing me to the lunch menu and listing out everything that they come with. He was consistent through the visit and that is so appreciated. The place itself is a little dated, but has a lot of space. There was plenty of parking out front. Now to the food! I started with a wonton soup that I didn't love. The broth was a little greasy and I didn't care for the flavor. I ordered the chicken kung pao with fried rice and vegetable egg roll. The kung pao was good and had fresh peanuts on top which gave it a really nice crunch. The flavor was great and the portion was good without being too overwhelming. The veggie eggrolls had that very fried taste that honestly I really like LOL (sometimes you just want something greasy!) It was a good experience and with their low prices I would't mind going back to try something else. read more

I was disappointed they do not show to have sweet & sour pork which is a favorite of mine, the service was just not there and I will look for another restaurant with better customer service. I've been going to Pearl Dynasty for over a decade and it's my favorite Chinese restaurant in Pearland. All the elements are there: good food, affordable, good lunch specials, clean restaurant. My go-to dishes are the General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. Their egg rolls, wonton soup, and lo mein is also great! Appetizers wise, I'm a big fan of the beef skewers (which you cook yourself) and the crispy quail. I tried the moo shu chicken for the first time today and it was great. The chicken was cooked well and tasted great in Chinese pancakes with Hoisin sauce. This is the only place where I order a Shirley Temple and get away with it! read more

I like to go to this place because it's convenient and very close to the house. They also make the food quickly and you don't have to wait long for to go orders. The food is tasty but I have to say I'm very disappointed in their shrimp fried rice. They have a picture posted on the wall next to the register showing their shrimp fried rice as white rice with carrots, peas, sprouts, eggs and shrimp. They charge $10 for the shrimp fried rice but when I get it it's always brown and not white as if they add soy sauce to the fried rice which I don't like. Also for the third time in a row when I order shrimp fried rice there is burnt rice that seems to be left over from them using pots that they are either not cleaning or old pots that are scorched. The burnt pieces are always all through the rice and I crunch on them and it's pretty disgusting. I don't think they are cleaning their pots correctly. I will add a photo showing this as I have complained to the owners once about it they said they would fix it, it happened again they said they would fix it and now this is the third time. This will probably make me not go back and support this restaurant. You should not be crunching down on burnt pieces of old rice or whatever that is when you order a fresh shrimp fried rice. I am really not sure if it's burnt rice or if it's the burnt pieces of the pots that they're using but either way it's disgusting and should not be in shrimp fried rice especially ordering it fresh. read more

I stopped by for dinner on a Friday night. While the restaurant was almost empty, we enjoyed our meal! Our waiter was a really nice guy and took care of us promptly throughout. We started off with the beef skewers appetizer and it's an experience! They give you a mini grill with a flame to cook your skewers. Awesome! Only takes a minute or two per skewer. Four our main dish, we shared the sesame chicken which comes with white rice. The sauce made the dish and the portion was generous. We weren't able to eat everything so we took some of it to-go. Pearl Dynasty is a great neighborhood restaurant with affordable and tasty food. They also have lunch combos that come with an egg roll and your choice of soup if you stop by earlier in the day! read more

I wouldn't recommend anyone to ever go to this place even if it was the last place in Pearland. I was beyond creeped out by the waiter attempting to joke and it made me uncomfortable beyond belief. The portions are ridiculously big for subpar food. The crab puffs felt like they had been sitting out all day. Curry chicken was very good also. Singapore noodles are also delicious, spicy so be ready for the fire, but extremely delicious. I order from here many times and it is always good but tonight I ordered chow mein and instead I got what looks like soupy pork with a bag of fried noddle piece like you put in soup. I called in and they said this is the way it is done. I have had chow mein many times at other places and it is with thin noddles that are pan fried, full noodles and are not pure crunch for soups.
