This is my 4th time coming here. The first time I came service was good & they did a great job on my nails. The last two times the service was just okay...this last time the service was good but the gel manicure was TRASH. There were so many bumps & ridges. Not smooth at all... When I go to nail salon and pay $35 for a gel manicure & $35 for a Pedicure expect consistency. The main woman in charge (I forgot her name) does the best job in my opinion. She did GelX manicure the 2nd time I went. Today was kind of the last straw for me. I don't think the prices match the service at all.

Like, what!? This looks insane

Really frustrating, paid $75 plus two $10 tips to each woman who worked on me, and I just ended up clipping my own nails as short as I possibly can because my nails were so mishandled, some nails were short and sharp, some were left long and round, and everything in between, it looked like my 10 year old did my nails, my pedicure is literal just a few coats of nail polish over grown out nails that you can still see under the polish, usually I roll with the punches and am understanding that my budget only allows for lower end service but at the end of the day I'm going to have to go pay to get these redone and that feels unfair

I've come here for years living near by & this salon never disappoints. My sister & i walked in with no appointment and were seen right away. We were in need of some vacation nails! The staff were so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We will always keep coming here & i would recommend to anyone!

I needed to get my nails done quickly, and they were able to fit me in which i was super grateful for. my experience wasn't great though, which I will take partial responsibility for, because I have trouble speaking up for myself. when we got in, i requested dip powder manicure. the lady doing my nails was like "no, hard gel is better and will last longer". I said yes, because i was too awkward to say no (which wasnt even true, the gel started lifting around the edges less than a week in). While she was doing the gel, she said that my cuticles were way overgrown and asked if i wanted them trimmed. i was like " how much is that?" and she said it was $10 extra. since when is cuticle trimming an additional cost to the nails? i thought that was supposed to be included. i said no because i didnt want to pay the extra cost. She asked what color i wanted and I said that I didnt need color and that just the gel was fine, but she kept pushing for the color so i said that the one she suggested was fine. It looked good, and i trusted her judgement. I wonder if I was charged extra for the gel color. I'm not sure. When i went to check out, my manicure was $65.that seemed really expensive given the service i was provided. i didn't want to ask why, but i asked for a menu pamphlet for next time. I tipped $12 anyways even though I felt conned. i was looking the menu over in the car after my experience, and i have NO idea why my manicure was 65$. I couldnt find what on the menu would have costed that much. I feel like I was overcharged because they knew that I wasn't going to stand up for myself, which made me feel really gross about it. That experience rubbed me the wrong way, but i wasnt going to say anything. Until some of my nails started lifting 3 days later. i didn't want to trust the bad reviews going in and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but i had a pretty bad experience here.

Gaps in polish on sides of nails- can see the missed second coat :(

Like the pedicure, but the manicure was awful. Never had my cuticles butchered before and it hurts, should have stopped and said nevermind when my finger started bleeding

This nail salon switches owners often but the only reason I have returned is for Tammy. Tammy does amazing nails and is very sweet. Today I was taken care by another technician by the name Catherine. The service I always request is gel x. I have gotten cat nails with Tammy before and they have come out phenomenal. Today is requested them once again and I noticed one of the nails was very crooked. I pointed it out to Catherine and she gave me the lazy answer that my finger is crooked. Which it is not and her job is to make sure all the nails are nice and aligned regardless of the shape of my fingers. I asked her if she could please fix it. Catherine proceeded by giving me major attitude and even the way she grabbed my hands changed. Once she fixed it she even laughed. It made me very uncomfortable. It definitely threw off the vibe of the establishment and the trust between customer and nail technician. The color Catherine used what not the color I showed her at all but at that point I felt so uncomfortable to tell her. I have attached the reference picture and the nails she did. This was an 81$ set and I still tipped her $11 because I always take care of my technicians and the other ladies that have gotten me know that. I feel bad for Tammy because this place just lost a really good paying and consistent customer. Just really bad business on their behalf.

Chip in nail

Rude and disappointing. I never write reviews, but I use to visit this place precovid and always had a great experience. I have visited a few times since they reopened and today was really disappointing. I called just before 5:30 to see if I could come in ASAP for a full set and pedicure. The gentleman who answered said yes and scheduled me for 6 pm. Once I walked in, I was the only customer and it looked like they were already closing. I was immediately asked if I was sure I had an appointment at 6 pm. I said yes and they sat me down. Clara did my pedicure and did a fine job. Unfortunately it was Tony who did my manicure and it seemed like he was ready to go home. He was rude and rushed through the job. I asked for a full set -- regularly getting acrylics-- but he pushed to just put powders on my regular nails. I let that slide hoping it would look fine. It would have except he left a chip in one nail and did a messy job on the rest. Sadly, I noticed that he saw and even felt the chip and chose to ignore it. It wasn't until I said something as I was leaving that he wanted to acknowledge it. To be honest, by then I just wanted to go. I get that everyone want to get home as soon as they can, but if that's the case please don't book people after 6 pm. It clearly a waste of the techs time and my money.

What I got...

I don't think I would come back here. As you can tell from the photos it's not exactly what I wanted. I kept telling the owner who did my nails the things that should be fixed or how I would like my nails because I'm PAYING for them. And she continues to sigh and say things like "omg" in Vietnamese. Little does she know I know small Vietnamese terms. Besides the fact it took forever to do this set and it ran me about $65. I paid for my cousin and my sister and the whole total came about damn near $200. Two full sets and one pedicure. The full sets were pretty basic nothing too crazy or dramatic and they weren't even long in length. If you're not satisfied or happy with a service tipping is never mandatory. It's greatly appreciated but if the service and work is not all that there then I'm not tipping. She had the nerve to ask my cousin "she no tip?" I was lost at words.

So cozy and warm! Very relaxing

Had a wonderful experience! Very clean & professional. Came in for the Mon-Thurs morning 20% off special. Awesome! They also have an afternoon happy hour special. Things I love about this salon: -So quiet and relaxing (no background conversations) -very clean -great service options -spa chairs comfortable -lots of color choices -no high pressure up selling -pretty/ elegant ambiance Highly recommend!!! Will definitely return

Her way over $75 nails... Plus $5 for design on each ring finger...
Lucy R.

Is $75 for long acrylic nails the normal going rate?? (Plus more with taxes, tip, & design which will be over $100) Is this normal or am I getting ripped off? I haven't got my nails done since highschool so idk. I came here because some stranger said they have hello kitty seats and drinks for the adults. That is absolutely not true. This is all very disappointing! I got a most basic pedicure for $35. The lady sucked at the massaging part. Its was fast/quick. My daughter got the nails. They didn't ask what type of nails or gave us the price. They did this on purpose. I feel they over charged me. My daughter tipped $20bucks hoping their attitudes change. We didn't feel welcomed. They never said thank you or bye. I felt like I had to leave a review so no one else goes through this experience. My total was $113. With a $20 tip that they did not deserve.

3/5 fingers bleeding
Daniella D.

I generally take bad reviews with a grain of salt but please be warned that if you want a quality dip manicure to please SKIP this place. I just left with 5/10 fingers bleeding and the paint job lacking in all sense of the word. My nail technician clearly didn't care for my fingers or the quality of her work.

Review from today

They always do a wonderful job, been going here for a year. Good service, nice professional staff. The lady who posted the horrible review today (Sabrina S. see photos below) actually walked out without paying for services. The police had to be called and they went to her home and made her return to pay for the services she asked for. Don't believe this review. I'm the older man she's referring to and I stepped in because she didn't want to pay for services and was bullying the staff at the salon. Then she walked out without paying.

my nail during the process even my ring finger is bleeding a bit

I'm extremely disappointed with my visit at this salon today especially since this was my go to place pre covid! I came in to get my acrylics removed and to hopefully get gel in place after but it ended up not happening because both of my pinkies kept bleeding. I didn't catch the name of the nail tech that did my nails-- she didn't introduce herself either so. From the get go the process started very rough and she was gripping my hands pretty tight already. She continued to cut my nails off ever so shortly and I thought that was it because there's really not much for her to cut off at that point but she continued to file my nails and thats how I saw that my pinkies were bleeding because my blood was ON THE NAIL FILE. She continued to buff it out and even used the electrical buffer machine and file my nail even more. At this point my blood was already on the towel and on the nail file right, but to my dismay I noticed that she was already using used nail materials because she didn't grab a new set that's usually sterilized and in a seal packed pouch-- she was just reaching under her little trolley of nail items. She still hasn't mentioned anything to me or apologized to me about what she's done at this point but I think she knew she messed up at least because she kept trying to clean up my pinkies which had my actual skin already showing and she proceeded to spray alcohol DIRECTLY ON THEM and pressed on them with the same bloody towel to get the blood OUT OF MY NAIL. At this point I was over it and I politely opted out of the gel manicure and told her that I'd prefer to let my nails breathe, hinting at the fact that they're basically bleeding BUT SHE STARTED PERSUADING ME TO CONTINUE ON WITH THE GEL. I don't know about ya'll but pretty sure if she proceeded to put nail polish on my nails, my bleeding nails, that my blood would transfer over to the NAIL POLISH BRUSH THAT THE NAIL POLISH COMES WITH THAT OTHER NAIL TECHS COULD POSSIBLY USE ON OTHER CLIENTS SO OF COURSE I DIDN'T WANT TO GET THEM DONE. It's just a sanitary issue at this point but I'm not sure she gets that. By the way, before hand we already discussed the price which was $32: $5 for removal and $27 for the gel polish. But considering I didn't get any gel, NOT EVEN A TOP COAT, I was expecting my total to be less than $20 even. Unfortunately it wasn't and she said it was $22 and then she changed it to $17 and changed it BACK to $22 "because the manager said". I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what BUT it is definitely not an excuse to be giving horrendous service, not using sterilized equipment, and not acknowledging/apologizing even for what she did. I hope she discarded the nail materials she used on me at least and changed it for the next client that she might get because that is actually disgusting especially since we are in a whole PANDEMIC right now.

In particular, I was shocked by the way my tinted and laminated brows turned out. I was asked if I've ever had a tint before and what color they have used in the past. I remember this because she said almost nothing else to me the entire time after asking about the type of lashes I wanted in the very beginning. I told her "light brown--a shade or two darker than what I have now." My natural brows are very light. In the end, my brows were very dark brown--almost black. I could tell that something was wrong before I saw them because she kept wiping my brows over and over to the point that they felt raw. When she showed them to me I said, "Wow! They are dark." She asked me if I wanted her to "try to wipe some off," which made no sense to me given that she had already been wiping them. It was apparent that she knew they were too dark. After they were done she told me, "You will need to get them cleaned up." I've had services on my brows many times, and I've never walked out of an establishment with sloppy looking brows. Given the cost of the service, it seems reasonable for the person providing the service to remove stray hairs with tweezers. In fact, it would have looked much better when I left if she had done this before tinting my brows. I was also disappointed by how my check out was handled. I booked my appointment on 12/2 when I received a text message about getting 50% off one service. I used the link in the text and booked the same day for the earliest available evening appointment. The person who provided my services seemed unsure about how to check me out. After a call was made, I was told that I would have had to have my service done by 12/6. That seemed unreasonable to me. She made another call when I showed her the confirmation email showing I booked the same day the discount text was sent. "Service must be completed by 12/6" would be much clearer than the word "redeemed." She told me that they could give me the current promo of "25% off" and later, when I gave her my credit card, said "$25." I asked for clarification and was disappointed by the response. Overall, she seemed to not know what she was doing, and I left paying much more for a much worse service than I would expect from a "master" at a seemingly legitimate establishment. The music was the best thing about my visit to Deka Lash, and I will not be back.

I've done lash lifts before and I like the natural look compared to the full sets of lashes. However, I'm not sure why the lash lift(s) I got done were not great. The first lash lift, I felt was rushed. I was asked when was the last time I for a lash lift and I answered about a year. When the lift was done, I took pictures in my car because they just didn't look great. One side looked like it attempted to lift (left side), the other side not so much (right side). I called the phone number to ask for a redo, and I said I would pay a fee. They were nice enough to waive the fee for the redo which was nice. When I went in for the redo a week later, I felt a little uncomfortable for asking for a redo from the same lash artist. Didn't feel welcome for sure. She saw it and said "oh yeah I see it." So she redid the lash lift. She made sure to make the side that didn't lift the first time lift. Which it did and it's great. But the other side (left side) now looks a little weak. I'm not going to ask for another redo a second time. I just wish what was done for the right side the second time was done the first time. Also, if the lash artist looks over them a bit more maybe she would notice right away that they look uneven. I appreciate that a redo was given and at no charge. But I do think attention to detail is important. I believe my lash artist was "Qua" according to email reciept. It seems like others have had positive experiences with other lash artists. I might be looking for a new studio for next time.
