DON'T DO IT! The man doing my manicure and the woman doing my pedi were awful! They were doing a mediocre job at removing my cuticles! I looked down at my feet because the lady was using the cuticle remover but I didn't see her removing anything! All this after I told them I wasn't paying $35 for callus remover! Anywhere you go, callus remover is $5.00. I ended up just paying for a regular mani and pedi with no polish! They do not have a lot of color options. Uggghhhh read more

Kevin & Tammy did that thaaaang very professional & quick . I love how they took care of me & did my nails BEAUTIFULLY for my daughters baptism this weekend. A lot of nail salons that I go to make the nails thick & really fake looking. Kevin made my acrylic nails thin & very subtle EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED . He was very patient and very attentive to nail shape & how he was filing. I have chubby fingers so usually nail techs cut into my skin with the file but Kevin made sure he didn't . They finished everything in about an hour Tammyyyyyyy was very sweet & took her time on my toes & feet. She was gentle & made sure I was taken care of. Very sanitary. She made sure all her tools were perfect & sanitized . Also on a quick side note , this salon is over all cute . It's so cute . The set up & the customer service is A1 they offer you beverages while you get your nails done (which I didn't get bc of my current budget due to my baby's baptism) lmao But I will be definitely taking advantage in the future . I had a very bad experience just a couple days prior at a different salon and thought I was going to be stuck with wasting money on a new set I disliked and looked up the closest salon to me to just get the acrylics I had on removed and cover it up with gel polish. Called this salon no more than 5 mins before arriving to see if they had availability and luckily they did! Sometimes places say they have availability and don't communicate with each other or don't actually have availability and make you wait but they really meant it here and even remembered my call! I reiterated I wanted to remove my set I just gotten two days prior due to being unhappy with how it came out and not being able to type properly with how long and thick they were but the woman and man working both suggested I let them trim the set shorter, thin it out and do a fill instead of taking off the acrylic completely. I showed them the style I had originally shown the first nail tech I had and he understood exactly what I wanted. The man who did my set (I believe Tony or Tommy I may have misheard!) Was very quick but did not rush the process of getting my nails to the exact length and shape I was looking for! I wasn't even in a mood to pick a color and one of the very lovely ladies working asked if I just wanted something natural looking to match the style and shape and she came back with the perfect natural pink tone. They gave me some great advice for keeping my nails looking healthy and some great suggestions on future sets and pedicures. I will definitely be back and look forward to hopefully making this my regular spot to get pampered! I've been visiting Pearl Nails for a very long time and I always get great service. I've been able to walk in and make appointments. IF they are very busy, they will let you know. Some places sit you with your feet in the water and you wait and wait. Not Pearly Nails. They will let you know to come back in 30 minutes if necessary. Ok so I love this place. I have been going for almost a year now and every time I left happy. I have had nails done for halloween and a different design on each one that looked really good, I had winter ones that again looked amazing and those are just some of my favorites. The shaping is always almost perfect or perfect. And the nails always stayed on for 3 to 4 weeks. I would almost always be with Kevin but not all the time and I have never had a complaint before. But last week I got my nails done there when I was down in LA for the weekend. They did them really well when she was doing them I was really happy with them she was filing very hard and both sides of my pinki and fourth finger started bleeding but thats fine ya know no pain no gain. But there was just one design that I had wanted which was a little gold moon on both fourth fingers. So the lady finished took pictures of my nails with out the moon and was very admit that I post a review on yelp. And I was happy to give a good review but I found it weird that she would take a picture before the nails were done. Then another lady came to do the moons and she had done designs on my nails before so I had faith in her. She freehanded the moons which i understand is hard but they are 2 drastically different sizes and they look like c's like one looks kindaaaa like a moon but more like a C. That was fine I no how hard it is to make things perfect and I dont expect it. What I do not appreciate is 5 days later having both pinki nails fall off and 2 days later after that my middle finger nail coming off. I do not appreciate paying $50 for mediocre nails that then on top of that fall off with in a week. Now if I lived down in LA I would just go back and ask them to fix it and I am sure they would but I live all the way in Santa Barbra which the lady who did my nails know. i had an appointment and i had requested Kevin due to the popular demand. we all know how hard it is to find the perfect nail tech. i drove from dtla to lb this friday evening. i showed him a photo of the nails, shape and color i wanted, straight from his personal ig. the shape him filed was stiletto not almond and the color used, was not what i wanted. he mixed a bunch of powders together and put this darker beige color versus the nude i wanted. first of all, he files super aggressive!! so hard he sliced my pinky on both sides and then my index finder. then when i brought it to his attention that i have been cut, he stated "yea" not one sorry or nothing to try to accommodate the situation. my full set was $50, $40 for the full set im assuming and $10 for who knows what. needless to say, i will not be returning! read more

Really nice salon, I've been 3-4 times now so safe to leave a review. I go to Kevin for my manicures and although I like his work, he seems to get super annoyed any time I ask him to do something from a picture or ask him to adjust the shape. I'm not being nit picky but I know what I like and he doesn't always seem very happy about it. I get super basic nails, no crazy shape, no design, but he still seems grumpy every time I come in so I'm gonna get my manicures elsewhere or with someone else. It never ends up coming out how I want and then I'm afraid to ask for any changes because he's so unapproachable. It shouldn't be like that. It seems like he is stellar at super long nails so if that's your thing then definitely give him a shot. The pedicures however are fabulous and I will continue to come here for them. I usually have Kim by chance, but I'm going to start requesting her specifically because she's really good and really sweet. I was excited to try a new nail salon with my mom but was sadly disappointed by the experience at Pearl Nails. We had an appointment for the afternoon. When we walked in the woman at the front desk rudely asked whether we made an appointment or not which shouldn't have mattered because only two other massage chairs were filled at the time. We sat down for our mani pedis and neither of our nail techs tried to have conversations with us. When they did, they were pushy and trying to get us to upgrade to more expensive manicures and pedicures. The rest of the time we sat in silence. My nail job was rushed and streaky. When we went to pay they asked us to tip on their credit card machine instead of cash and when we said we wanted to tip $10 ($5 for my techs and $5 for my mom's) they demanded more. By the time I got home my nails had already started to chip. I called back the next day to see if I could get it fixed and the person I spoke to on the phone was very rude. When I got there for my color fix, I walked in and everyone was staring me down like I was a freak. I was greeted by a disgruntled employee who did not seem like she wanted to be there. She did a better job on my manicure however they whole time I was there someone in the back room was listening to some comedy show at full volume being inconsiderate of the other customers in the front of the spa. My nail tech from the day before saw me and was very apologetic. He is the only reason why I am giving this place one star. If it wasn't for him I would rate lower if I could. As you can see my nails are already starting to chip again after only getting them done 5 hours prior. You and also see the shaping on my nails is not uniform. I usually try to give new salons the benefit of the doubt but I would steer clear of this one. I stopped by on a Monday around 10:00AM. There were about three people getting services done, but otherwise it was fairly empty. I was helped right away. I sat down and asked the lady who was helping me if she can do ombré on my actual nails. I grow them out pretty long so I don't have to get acrylic but I understand that some designs are only done on acrylic. This is why I explicitly asked her and showed her a specific picture of what I wanted. She said yes, so I chose my colors and sat down. Big surprise, she did NOT know how to do ombré. I'm sure you're just as shocked as I was... xD ANYWAY, she shaped my nails (poorly) and cut my cuticles so deep that I bled on TWO fingers. This bish might've just been having a bad morning because she was up and down running to her car, to the back, to the other side of the shop for no distinguishable reason. The shade of it is, every time she got up to go do something else, she would throw the nail color palettes at me like I was trying to choose another color... hmm She sat back down and tried to do the ombré but couldn't so she asked me to choose other colors. Honestly, I saw her try so I wasn't upset about the design. But when I chose new colors, she was on the struggle trying to apply them... I just got a solid color, aren't you a nail technician? At the end, she got an emery board and filed the bottom of the sloppy paint job by where my cuticles are. Uhm remember how two of my fingers were bleeding a minute ago? Yeah, the added pressure of sandpaper gnawing at my new wounds didn't leave me feeling relaxed to say the least. I get that beauty hurts but this wasn't even cute like that. :( Finally I ask her to reshape some parts because my nails are looking wicked witch of the west kind of crooked. She tried, but I redid them when I got home. Guess what time I left the salon? 11:30AM. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. I don't recommend going here unless you're getting acrylic nails. Idk who does all the designs featured in their photos but ask beforehand because clearly not every technician is trained with the same skill set. I didn't catch this lady's name but trust that I spoke up hard and regardless of my instruction still didn't get what I wanted. Not even close. Bottom line: If you're looking for a simple mani/ pedi but don't have preference for the shape of your nail or even the quality of the polish job then this is the place for you. I have been coming to this nail salon for over 10 years and I recently had a horrible experience. I have had some semi 'ok' experiences but this last one was a doozy. Not only have the prices gone up but they rush you through and as a result they become careless. On my last visit the lady scrubbed my foot so hard she cut my right toe. It's been over a week and I've been fighting an infection even after treating it with Epsom salts, Neosporin and hydrogen peroxide daily. I appreciate the hard work these ladies put in but this was bad. Unfortunately, they lost my business along with my family and friends. I went to this business because it was the number one ranked nail salon in the area. I needed a gel removal and a standard Mani & Pedi. I was there for over an hour and a half without my nails even being close to painted. I ended up asking her to stop and just do some clear polish so I could pay and go. On top of all that time, my toes are not even well done and the nails on both hands and feet are shaped all wonky. There is paint all over the cuticles and pooled up around the edges. I really can't understand how this place is number one. Maybe it just depends on who your technician is. I am going to have to redo them myself. read more

Finally a super clean, and reasonable nail shop. I have been on the hunt for so long, and actually one of my male friends highly recommended this place. I have been here now a couple of times, though I remember coming here a long time ago when it was owned by someone else. I've been coming in on my lunch breaks, and it isn't too busy but the first time it was. They squeezed me in for a mani/pedi and got me in out fairly quick. Everyone is very nice, and they always offer you complimentary drinks (They have this sweet tea they make which is pretty amazing). I have had different people every single time, but it doesn't seem to matter they all did a great job. Pricing is on par with most places around this area, so no complaints there. Bonus: They have a stamp card, so once you fill your card up (Ten Stamps) you get a Free Regular Mani or Pedi, which is pretty SWEET!!! I've been back here several times to try it under the new management and was really hopeful that it had improved. Unfortunately, I don't really think it has. During a recent manicure the cuticle was cut too low and I bled continuously. It even stopped and then started again after she painted them. I've been coming here and every time I do i have a great experience. Although, this past time that I came it was not what I expected. It was slow which was great but the guy who did my nails, Andy, was busy watching his show while doing my nails. He was very distracted that he literally messed up my color dip. The color is already chipping off and it has only been two days since I got them done. This is very disappointing considering last time Tony did mine they lasted three weeks!! So I wanted to add to their list of good reviews. I had Kenny do my nails and he's the nicest person I've ever had do them, super professional and he obviously knows what he's doing. He's the only person who's ever given me a proper coffin nail shape! I got a fill, had to repair a nail and a gel color change. In total it was $35 :) Kenny joked around with me and my boyfriend and the atmosphere is overall friendly at the salon, which I really like. I have gone to this shop religiously every 2 weeks for the past few months. I usually get a gel manicure but was convinced by the manager to get hard gel underneath to help you nails get strong. I don't have brittle nails at all but I agreed. When I go in I am told I am getting a "fill" of that hard gel and and charged $55 for this. I recently took my sister for a gel manicure and pedicure. I don't mind paying money for services but it's an awful feeling when you feel like you have been overcharged. We were charged $300 for gel manicure and pedicure. We got the "shimmer" powder and that was an additional $60. Worst part was I called ahead to make an appt with the lady who had been doing my nails and they told me yes that she was there. When we got there a lady was helping another customer and she jumped up to help us and left that lady waiting . I now realize I think they did this so they could at least start one of our services so we couldn't leave since I then found out that the lady I was requesting no longer worked there anymore. Had I been told that on the phone in the first place I may not have made an appt. I also don't like feeling bad when asking for nails to be shorter or a certain shape and they make u feel that way. This is was my second time going there, and i was not disappointed. They actually take there time to get your nails done right. They are very friendly and you never feel like your being rushed off the chairs or like your imposing, which is how i have felt at other places. They offer Margaritas!!! And they have some good tea for the cold days. Today i got my nails done by jenny and she did an amazing job. I love how she took her time to make sure they where just perfect. She also did my eyebrows, which im always nervous to get done at a different place, but i decided to go for it since they looked beastly lol.
