I came here for the first time a year or so ago to get my holiday nails done, I do know that it's a busy time of the year , but the job felt very rushed and I did not like the results. I stopped going but decided to give this place another try. This past weekend , I came in with my daughter , for a matching manicure. We got rainbow colored nails, but nobody bothered to tell me that it was going to be an up-charge for using different colored nail polish, the only way I fired out the extra charge is by looking at my receipt. I want the business to be upfront with me when that's necessary. They have lost my trust and I am NEVER stepping my foot in this business again. What a shame . read more

I got an overpriced gel manicure and gel pedicure here before a vacation. I also got a toe nail infection. I'm now on vacation putting neosporin on my toe every so often, and the infection is painful. The lady was not gentle when cutting the cuticles, trimming nails, etc. Also, it's expensive. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Solid colors for both, and no nail art, no acrylics, just very basic nails. It was $88 without tip. I absolutely will not be back. read more

I needed to get my nails done quickly, and they were able to fit me in which i was super grateful for. my experience wasn't great though, which I will take partial responsibility for, because I have trouble speaking up for myself. when we got in, i requested dip powder manicure. the lady doing my nails was like "no, hard gel is better and will last longer". I said yes, because i was too awkward to say no (which wasnt even true, the gel started lifting around the edges less than a week in). While she was doing the gel, she said that my cuticles were way overgrown and asked if i wanted them trimmed. i was like " how much is that?" and she said it was $10 extra. since when is cuticle trimming an additional cost to the nails? i thought that was supposed to be included. i said no because i didnt want to pay the extra cost. She asked what color i wanted and I said that I didnt need color and that just the gel was fine, but she kept pushing for the color so i said that the one she suggested was fine. It looked good, and i trusted her judgement. I wonder if I was charged extra for the gel color. I'm not sure. When i went to check out, my manicure was $65.that seemed really expensive given the service i was provided. i didn't want to ask why, but i asked for a menu pamphlet for next time. I tipped $12 anyways even though I felt conned. i was looking the menu over in the car after my experience, and i have NO idea why my manicure was 65$. I couldnt find what on the menu would have costed that much. I feel like I was overcharged because they knew that I wasn't going to stand up for myself, which made me feel really gross about it. That experience rubbed me the wrong way, but i wasnt going to say anything. I came to this salon because my nail tech had to cancel due to a family emergency. I needed my nails redone ASAP for last minute engagement photos the next day. The two women who worked on my nails were super sweet. I got French tips on my hands and toes, multiple sides where the French tip would be were not painted. I'm disappointed because I spent a lot of money to have mediocre work done. Luckily only I will be able to notice the sides. The prices are outrageous, they charged me for everything. My sister got her cuticles cut and charged $20. My pedicure was $60+ because I got gel nail polish, and my manicure was $50+ because I got gel nail polish. They also charged me $5 to remove my gel pedicure and $10 to put a gelx tip on ONE FINGER. I was shocked when my bill came to just $136. read more

This nail salon switches owners often but the only reason I have returned is for Tammy. Tammy does amazing nails and is very sweet. Today I was taken care by another technician by the name Catherine. The service I always request is gel x. I have gotten cat nails with Tammy before and they have come out phenomenal. Today is requested them once again and I noticed one of the nails was very crooked. I pointed it out to Catherine and she gave me the lazy answer that my finger is crooked. Which it is not and her job is to make sure all the nails are nice and aligned regardless of the shape of my fingers. I asked her if she could please fix it. Catherine proceeded by giving me major attitude and even the way she grabbed my hands changed. Once she fixed it she even laughed. It made me very uncomfortable. It definitely threw off the vibe of the establishment and the trust between customer and nail technician. The color Catherine used what not the color I showed her at all but at that point I felt so uncomfortable to tell her. I have attached the reference picture and the nails she did. This was an 81$ set and I still tipped her $11 because I always take care of my technicians and the other ladies that have gotten me know that. Welp I unfortunately have to update my review for this place again. Ever since Cindy and her husband left it's been awful. All the woman there have an attitude problem. Especially the new manager JENNY. She acts like she's doing you a favor when I can go spend $200 and tip $20 to each person at any nail salon in Long Beach. They also don't know how to activate gift cards or they were trying to scam me because I paid for it with cash. LUCKILY I saved my receipt because I bought it for my dad and they were trying to tell him it didn't work. I spend a lot of money at this place and I have been going here since I've been a kid but I will never be back as long as Jenny is running the joint. As a manager you really set the tone for your employees and it looks like they are all learning to be just as rude as you are to good paying customers. Also make sure the water is warm for a pedicure when your customers are paying $60 plus for it. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. The only good person here is Yvonne and the old school ladies like Nancy and Grace that have been there for a long time. Also Bella and Sofia I think their names are were so rude and clearly over their job. Get a new job then bro. I kept telling the owner who did my nails the things that should be fixed or how I would like my nails because I'm PAYING for them. And she continues to sigh and say things like "omg" in Vietnamese. Little does she know I know small Vietnamese terms. Besides the fact it took forever to do this set and it ran me about $65. I paid for my cousin and my sister and the whole total came about damn near $200. Two full sets and one pedicure. The full sets were pretty basic nothing too crazy or dramatic and they weren't even long in length. If you're not satisfied or happy with a service tipping is never mandatory. I have visited a few times since they reopened and today was really disappointing. I called just before 5:30 to see if I could come in ASAP for a full set and pedicure. The gentleman who answered said yes and scheduled me for 6 pm. Once I walked in, I was the only customer and it looked like they were already closing. I was immediately asked if I was sure I had an appointment at 6 pm. I said yes and they sat me down. Clara did my pedicure and did a fine job. Unfortunately it was Tony who did my manicure and it seemed like he was ready to go home. He was rude and rushed through the job. I asked for a full set -- regularly getting acrylics-- but he pushed to just put powders on my regular nails. I let that slide hoping it would look fine. It would have except he left a chip in one nail and did a messy job on the rest. Sadly, I noticed that he saw and even felt the chip and chose to ignore it. It wasn't until I said something as I was leaving that he wanted to acknowledge it. To be honest, by then I just wanted to go. It was a holiday, but this spot wasn't as busy today. The guy greeted me at the door and asked what would I like? I asked for a French tip mani with extensions and a regular pedi. I was seated quickly. Everything was going fine, my pedi was great and so was my mani. Catherine did a very great job on my nails, I really like them. Upon finishing, I noticed that they were treating certain customers differently. Some were offered champagne while, others didn't get no offer at all. Those that were offered champagne were Caucasian while if you're a minority, you weren't offered anything. There was one Hispanic lady and myself, southeast Asian while everyone else which were about 4 Caucasian women in there with champagne. Before they can state that I look young or wasn't of age, the young Caucasian lady looked younger than I did and was still offered champagne. On top of that, while i was trying to pay... the gentleman asked if I had Venmo or Zelle, I responded with Zelle. I was proceeding to Zelle the QR-code that they had and after asking for the total, I Zelled and asked if the received it. Instead of responding to my question, he tipped my phone and started to press buttons. I told him, that's the confirmation page, I don't need to add you to my contacts, I'm asking if you received the Zelle. He still continues to tip my phone to see how much I was tipping the ladies. During my service, he kept coming over and hovering over Catherine and that made me Uncomfortable. This was also my first time here and the vibe was just off. I'm extremely disappointed with my visit at this salon today especially since this was my go to place pre covid! I came in to get my acrylics removed and to hopefully get gel in place after but it ended up not happening because both of my pinkies kept bleeding. I didn't catch the name of the nail tech that did my nails-- she didn't introduce herself either so. From the get go the process started very rough and she was gripping my hands pretty tight already. She continued to cut my nails off ever so shortly and I thought that was it because there's really not much for her to cut off at that point but she continued to file my nails and thats how I saw that my pinkies were bleeding because my blood was ON THE NAIL FILE. She continued to buff it out and even used the electrical buffer machine and file my nail even more. At this point my blood was already on the towel and on the nail file right, but to my dismay I noticed that she was already using used nail materials because she didn't grab a new set that's usually sterilized and in a seal packed pouch-- she was just reaching under her little trolley of nail items. She still hasn't mentioned anything to me or apologized to me about what she's done at this point but I think she knew she messed up at least because she kept trying to clean up my pinkies which had my actual skin already showing and she proceeded to spray alcohol DIRECTLY ON THEM and pressed on them with the same bloody towel to get the blood OUT OF MY NAIL. At this point I was over it and I politely opted out of the gel manicure and told her that I'd prefer to let my nails breathe, hinting at the fact that they're basically bleeding BUT SHE STARTED PERSUADING ME TO CONTINUE ON WITH THE GEL. I don't know about ya'll but pretty sure if she proceeded to put nail polish on my nails, my bleeding nails, that my blood would transfer over to the NAIL POLISH BRUSH THAT THE NAIL POLISH COMES WITH THAT OTHER NAIL TECHS COULD POSSIBLY USE ON OTHER CLIENTS SO OF COURSE I DIDN'T WANT TO GET THEM DONE. It's just a sanitary issue at this point but I'm not sure she gets that. By the way, before hand we already discussed the price which was $32: $5 for removal and $27 for the gel polish. But considering I didn't get any gel, NOT EVEN A TOP COAT, I was expecting my total to be less than $20 even. Unfortunately it wasn't and she said it was $22 and then she changed it to $17 and changed it BACK to $22 "because the manager said". I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what BUT it is definitely not an excuse to be giving horrendous service, not using sterilized equipment, and not acknowledging/apologizing even for what she did. I hope she discarded the nail materials she used on me at least and changed it for the next client that she might get because that is actually disgusting especially since we are in a whole PANDEMIC right now. read more

Literally the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. Red flag from start to finish. I asked for a full set, she completed it with out even using acrylic!? Painted right over the base plastic nail?? She cut up every single cuticle even though I kept telling her she was hurting me. She did not even follow the reference photo I showed her, I had to remind her what she was doing was wrong countless times which burned my cuticles from the acetone entering the open wound. She had to go back and "fix" them multiple times. If it were a skill issue, she should have said she couldn't do that style and I would have chosen a more simple design, but she assured me that she could. The photos will prove that she was incapable. When I tried to get some sort of discount from the horrible job that was done, an older gentlemen started getting involved and talking down on me and trying to degrade me when he should have minded his own business in the first place. With lots of work needed on Mum's feet, my manicurist worked diligently to give Mum the best experience possible; she was sweet, gentle, and professional. This isn't my usual nail salon but I came here as it's only 5 minutes from where I live and I was recommended by a neighbor. The first time I was there the experience was pretty good. I was paired with a lady. Another staff member offered me drinks. She was going to do my nails but ended up passing me to a guy named Kevin. Kevin did a good job. It lasted a good 3 weeks so I was happy. I went back a few days ago wanting to get something for Halloween. Kevin unfortunately wasn't there so I had this lady named Kathy. I showed her pictures of what I want (See below; it's French manicure with stitched look and Jack Skellington face on the ring finger). I asked if this was okay for her to do and she said yes. I told her it it's too difficult for her I can just do regular dip without design. She assured me that she can do the design. And this is where everything went down hill. She couldn't get the dip powder on correctly to start. And she couldn't even do the French part properly. Her artwork is sloppy. See picture for your own judgement. I asked her to re-draw the face as it wasn't good and there's no improvement. The best part is that after she finished her "Jack Skellington face", she started cracking up and asked me if it's a dog. Wth? I pointed at one of the decorated pumpkins on the counter they've done on their own and told her it's the same face. I asked her if she knows what Jack Skellington or Jack O'Lantern is And I got a blank stare. I was really disappointed. I understand if you cannot do designs, but if you can't even do regular dip manicure properly....then I don't know what to tell you. The service was also inconsistent because this time only a few customers were offered drinks. No AC was on and staff were just doing their own thing like chatting and on their phones. I waited for about 45mins ( no appt. ) but completely worth the wait and only a 5 minute drive from my house. My nails were perfectly shaped to my liking, thin from the side view but still strong, high quality polish, and only $30.00 for fill and gel polish. Took over 2 hours to do a mani pedi in gel where it usually takes an hour. Why they did my full Pedicure before even starting my manicure is beyond me. The woman next to me had same services and was out within an hour. Then the lady who did my pedi filed part of my gel off my big toe after. Plus part of my red polish was left on the sides! Left all sorts of polish on my skin. Manicure is uneven towards cuticle and has hard sand like pieces throughout. $70 wasted. Got this color to match the toy story leggings for a trip to Disney land this week. I will be hiding my toes and hands.
