I Recently got a Gel French Tip manicure ($27) and French tip regular pedicure ($27). I really enjoyed my experience considering it was my first indoor nail experience in months. There's many dividers and space in between clients. The salon is very clean, well-kept, and updated with nice seating. It made the experience from comfy and safe. Was very satisfied with the results of my nails. I was very apprehensive about getting French Tip, but glad I did it with Pearls Nails. My manicurist spent so much time double checking if the white tip was even and they looked so great after. Always make an appointment before coming here, this place is forever packed; otherwise you'll need to wait for at least 30 mins or more. Usually, I called them like an hour before to make sure I got the spot. I just experienced the SPA gel mani + regular pedi, (6 dollars for the gel design, 45 dollars in total) The spa chair was so much comfortable than other chairs here, at least I didn't need to twist my body for an hour like I did before. I would give gel mani a 4-star, they did their job well just like the picture I showed them; however, I noticed a problem that is not all of them know how to remove dead skin properly, and some of them could only do simple designs. Regular pedi was not bad, a lil messy but still way better than the way I did it to myself. Overall, this is not the prettiest salon but I'm happy to find this place with such a reasonable price! They are efficient and they will get your nails done on time. However if you don't come here often I'd recommend you confirm the price of what you're getting upfront. I had called to ask and was quoted $24 for gel nails but after everything was done, my total was $34. I understood vietnamese and had overheard the manicurist asking the owner how much they should charge me and owner said an additional $10 for the glitter. So something to be aware because if it's your first time, you may feel you were treated unfairly because of the increased prices. Another reason for the 3 star is I noticed the manicurists quality of services really varies. A group of us got our nails done but one of our nails were already chipping and color deteriorating after a week whereas others are fine. We got the same designs too. So beware of who you get. There's so many technicians that you're likely to get seated as soon as you walk in. Whether that tech is good or not is a roll of the dice though. I've walked in a few times over the years out of convenience since I'm already in the plaza, but I've never been 100% satisfied. If you speak up, they'll do what they can to make you happy, but it's possible that you didn't get one of the best techs they have. I lean towards gel mani-pedis with the occasional finger designs. These usually run me around $60. My gel manicure always starts lifting before the week is over. Luckily, I only get my nails done a couple days before a special occasion so it doesn't matter, but for the price, I expect better. I'm pretty sure they offer touch ups if your mani-pedi messes up within a certain time frame, but I shouldn't even have to go back that soon. I think they're decent if you need them for last minute nail prep, but they're too pricey for how long they'll last. read more

Came here on Friday around 5:30 after calling to make a same day appointment and boy was it packed. Every station had a person. Waited 5-10 minutes and was seated at the pedicure station. I wanted to like this place but it was a miss for a few reasons. They didn't put cuticle softener before cutting around the cuticles. My toes are still in pain from cutting around the cuticles and this has never happened before. I added paraffin for my pedicure for an additional $7 and the paraffin wax was super hot. It was burning my feet. It was actually hurting. Yes, it is wax but I've had it before and it was not burning my soles. It was pretty painful. When the paraffin is setting, I got a massage for my legs for $10 and the lady is not good at massages. She basically rubbed lotion on my legs, no pressure at all. Also, her nails were super sharp and it was digging into my leg and feet whenever she wanted to apply pressure. It was not enjoyable at all. Basically I paid $17 in upgraded to give me pain. Both with tip still came out to under $100. But their prices do fluctuate depending on length, gel or regular polish, design, etc. This visit was extremely satisfying, my nail tech (Rose) that did my pedi definitely took her time with cleaning my toes and shaping them. She also took her time with my gel polish, and cleaning up the sides before putting them under the light. Cindy did my mani, it was a little questionable. After she did tips and filed me down she got up to get more supplies. I took a good look at my nails before she started applying the acrylic. I noticed one of my tips were definitely, extremely, totally at a 70 degrees angle.. she came back and started applying on my other hand. After she did 2 nails I buttered up the courage to tell her one of my nails were crooked. She seemed "surprised" and looked at it. Cindy cut off some of the tip and tried ripping it off. Then realized it wasn't a good idea and had me soak it off like you're suppose to. She re-applied another tip and I said thank you, she didn't say sorry. If I didn't say anything Cindy would have left my nail like that. In the end everything came out well. Long story short, although this place is cheap and affordable! Don't be afraid of saying something you don't like before it's too late. They'll fix any issues if you say something. You're still paying for a service. I was really nervous about trying a new salon (I've had a lot of bad experiences and hadn't found one I particularly loved), but I'm really happy with my experience here! I came at 4pm on Friday with no appt and waited maybe 15-20 minutes before I was helped. This salon isn't super luxurious or anything but all the nail artists seem to be pretty legit. Crystal did my almond shaped acrylics and they are on point! She really got the shape down and was done in about an hour and a half. She was really sweet too. The nail technicians are trying their best but need better training/practices. They drill off your gel polish, that is not good for your nails. It was painful. Their ombré technique is not the best. I've only gotten ombré once before, at a different place. They used their finger and it looked smooth. Here they used 2 different sponges and it looked bumpy. Had to put glitter on top to cover the weird bump texture. The nail technician was lovely and I still wanted to leave her a tip but paid with card. I asked the cashier if I could put tip on the card. He said yes, and clicked a few buttons. When he flipped it over, I was able to see that he had clicked "no tip", before it disappeared. All he did was charge me more! read more

Pretty pricey for what I got done. I asked to remove an old set of acrylics I got with gel from a previous salon, but instead I got charge $46 for repair plus dip powder, $1 charge for paying with card, and $7 for a 15% tip. I don't understand what 'repair' I got done, I still have my old acrylics on, and she convince me to do dip powder because it's more healthier on my nails. I wanted natural and instead of being shown the selection of colors and choose, they push pink on me and told me it was natural. My nails look great, but it wasn't what I asked and what I wanted. I just simply wanted to remove my old acrylics, not add more gel or whatever on top of it. I called before coming and they told me it was busy but to come around 6:45 to 7:00, which is their closing time. I called twice to make sure if I can come in near closing time and they said they were busy but I was already driving there. Once I arrived at 6:15, I was expecting to wait but i got seated right away...so.... The lady that helped me in the front was walking around during closing time, and was nice enough to check up. I felt like they just did a rush job because they wanted to get out of there. The lady that did my nails was frustrated in the beginning because she couldn't take off my acrylics, but I thought she was in the process of removing them since she had me dip my fingers into a bowl of hot alcohol and tried to removed them with one acrylic, but nope. I was very disappointed about my visit to Pearl Nails last week. As a disclaimer, I RARELY ever get my nails done, so I am not familiar with how the removal process is - in the past, I have only gotten regular manicure/pedicures, which doesn't last very long and gets removed with basic acetone nail polish remover. A few weeks prior, I had gotten a dip powder manicure done at a different nail salon. This was the first time I had done dip powder, and it was done on my actual fingernails (not acrylics). It had been about 3-4 weeks and it was starting to lift, so I decided to go to Pearl Nails to get the dip removed and have my nails done with gel polish. To remove my dip powder, the nail technician started off by taking a piece of plastic acrylic nail, forcefully shoved it under the lifting dip powder, and proceeded to pull the dip powder from my nail. For the parts that she could not lift with the acrylic plastic, which was the majority of the polish/everywhere that wasn't the edge, she used a nail clipper to grab onto the dip and forcefully cut it off my nail. Because this was my first-time getting dip powder removed, I am unfamiliar with the process. Is this normal? I asked her twice and she confirmed this is how it was supposed to be done, but as I was watching her it seemed very damaging to my nails. After I got home, I searched online and it stated dip powder nails should be filed/buffed and then soaked in acetone... I have included pictures of what my nails looked like post dip powder removal, where it can be visibly seen that layers of my fingernails were removed during this process. After the forceful removal of the dip powder, my nails were unevenly textured and terrible to look at. It was never buffed, filed, smoothed out, or soaked in acetone - the nail technician just had me soak my fingertips in warm water for a few minutes prior to her putting the base coat and gel nail polish onto my nails. As she was painting them, if the texture was too uneven or noticeable, she literally just took the nail clipper and grabbed the uneven chunk and cut it off, then continued to paint on the gel polish. As I looked at other customers and technicians, I noticed that they were getting their nails buffed and smoothed out... I am not sure if my technician was in a rush, or if I was supposed to specifically ask for the nail to be smoothed out, or if this is just how it normally gets done, maybe it was because I had the dip done at a different salon... I am not sure. If this is the normal removal process and also normal for 0 prep prior to a manicure, then this review can be ignored. As previously stated, I rarely get my nails done so am unsure of what the "norm" is. I still give the place 2 stars because they were able to seat me quickly and I did like the look of my final manicure. Because I requested ombre nails, there were many coats of the gel polish, and at the final look you couldn't tell my base nail was unevenly textured. However, I was very disappointed with the removal process, as well as the minimal prep that was done on my nails prior to my manicure. I am worried about the damage done to my nails and how long it'll take to grow out/be healthy again. read more

The only thing is, it still gets cramped with all the customers. They now only provide spa Pedi services, no more regular pedis at the mani station. I like the spa chairs for the massage aspect & overall comfort. The nail techs are the same people that provide the great service & quality of work. Everyone is wonderful. I've only had 1 bad experience but they immediately rectified the situation. I always make appointments with my fave ladies & we have the best time chatting & they are so detail oriented and take their time to make sure you have a great experience! They get really busy, so I highly recommend making an appointment. They have many color choices as they carry most brands including Essie, OPI & DND (matching gel & polish colors). The parking in the plaza can get very full as they share the lot with many other retailers including Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Target, Wing Stop & The Habit. I made an appointment with Katie for 3pm and came in around 2:50. I waited until 3:20 before Katie got to me (she was with another client). I didn't mind because it is Friday and it was super packed. I think management and organization needs to be worked on. When I walked in, the owner just told me to go on a chair until I said "wait I have an appointment with Katie specifically and my mom with Kanny." This time around was super disappointing. I know they get super busy towards the end of the day and maybe this is why I had this experience today. I waited 40 minutes for them after my appointment time which it was around 720 and they sat me down I don't even know the ladies name but she did the fastest manicure on earth. It was probably like 10-15 minutes tops, including painting my nails, and you can tell when someone doesn't cut your cuticles correctly like especially if you've been getting your nails done for amount of time and for me it's been a very long time so I know what it feels like to have clean for uncut cuticles and on top of that she was really rough with nail polish nails. She was just trying to like push back the cuticles with it, but it ended up burning my Nail beds and the top of my skin, my nails and then she proceeded to do my toes which previously they had put acrylic because My big toenails were broken so the previous nail tech when I went three weeks ago she did I guess did not do such a great of a job but at that point what can I do so I came in today and the same lady that did my nails was doing my toes and she was laughing like what's going on and she just kept pointing out my toes and she took off the acrylic super aggressively and she was just giggling the whole time you know speaking a different language obviously I couldn't understand her and it was uncomfortable and unpleasant and I really just wanted to get out of there, but she was already halfway done with my toes and she kept trying to like make me speak to her, but she made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted, and it really seemed like she was making fun of me and I did not appreciate this whole experience my toenails were OK but my nails with that manicure are just so horrible.
