    Bulgogi ramen

I'm convinced the people in Westerly just don't know quality food and it's sad. I didn't receive the drink that came with my fried chicken box (I'll take partial blame for this too, because I forgot about it until I got home.) I'm slightly irritated because the hostess took my food back to the back to "double check it" and this is what I got when I got home. I've had ramen or pho many times and never have I had it with hardly any broth at the bottom, or a fully cooked egg. Maybe I caught them on a bad day because I saw so many positive reviews but I don't think I'll test my luck to try it again. Disappointed.

The Korean sweet and spicy wings were a bit disappointing, not very crispy; mostly sweet with hardly a hot spice note, the wing itself was well cooked. Yaki Mandoo dumplings were okay with a very nice dipping sauce. The Korean cheese filled Corn Dog, not pictured, was a bit underwhelming. Mozzarella is not a very flavorful cheese, thus it added very little to the flavor profile of this Korean Corn Dog. Sweet spicy Wings and dumplings are very competitive local products; the Chinese and Thai local restaurants do and exceptional job on those 2 items.

For my first time trying a Korean corn dog I was let down. The establishment was empty. We order thru a self checkout screen. I got pictures attached. I've tried beef bulgogi so many time before. When I got my food the corn dog was smaller than I thought... and it was cold. Cheese was not pulling and no hot dog in sight as advertised.. I was sad but I still had dinner. Sadly the meat did not taste right.... almost old or under seasoned. The owner was so rude about the whole situation. Said I had eaten half of my meal so there was nothing he could do. So sad.. i didn't wanna make a scene so I left and am never coming back. Clearly by my photo you could see the food had not been touched other than my initial taste.

Nice to have something around Westerly that's unique and delicious. We'll be back - my picky eater loved the fried chicken. "This is the best chicken I've ever had!"

The selection is pretty wide for its size, but it's still pretty limited. To be honest, I wish they had some stuff like tobiko and masago, or Chelsea candy, or Meltykiss. On a positive note, they have dumplings, baozi, and xiaolongbao with pork filling. All the dumplings I find in western grocery stores are filled with chicken, and honestly, that's pretty much the same crime as a tofurkey. You want real dumplings? Get pork dumplings. I wish they had them in like... 5 lb bags like you can find in Kam Man up in Quincy, though. They have a lot of the more popular selections, with wider varieties, as well. Lots of ramune, many, many types of noodles, shiro and awase miso (I think they also have aka miso, but I didn't notice), lots of teas. I think I also saw some big bags of rice cakes for making tteokbokki. Also, if you like making food from scratch for yourself, they have a pretty good selection of harder to find ingredients. Like, different types of soy sauces, calamansi juice, star anise, etc. They even have kansui if you want to make ramen from scratch. I'll be coming here more often in the future.

Ethnic food shopping can be frustrating especially when you're looking for something in particular. Another huge improvement- credit/debit payments! Minimum purchase of $15. New Point Of Sale for itemized receipts. Like I've said earlier- freshly cooked meats, and veggies, and pastries ($2 for various baked pastries) every Thursday. My family goes nuts for the baked roast pork buns. They're 8 small buns for $7.50. Heat them up for like 40 seconds. As for the bbq meats they may have roast pork (cha sieu), fire roasted pig (lechon), roasted duck, soy sauced chicken, salted chicken, white cut chicken (ba chi gai) and others depending on availability. For the fire roasted pig I suggest heating it up in a broiler, skin side up, on a low rack and watch it carefully. The skin will be perfectly crispy like chicharrones (pork rinds). I like that this place sells the veggies by the pound and you bag them yourself. Many times I've bought prepackaged veggies to find some not so fresh ones in the package. Also I don't like to buy that many veggies usually so I like to pick up just enough for what I need. Since the management change I have been here every Thursday. Glad to see the many needed upgrades!

Good/Drinks: I really want to focus on the positive regarding this location first, and I have to…read moresay the margarita I got here was very strong and definitely worth the price. When it comes to the food, it's hard to fully judge because of our experience with the service. The food I did try was pretty good, the meats were fresh, and some of the sides that came with them were really tasty. I mainly got full on the unlimited appetizers, which I really liked. Due to our service we didn't get a lot of items we truly wanted. Location: This location has a modern look with some nice traditional touches. It felt spacious, and we were seated in an area for larger groups. It's definitely a casual place that's good for families and get togethers. They do have private free parking. Service: The service is the reason I'm giving this place three stars. We were a party of 12 and divided by two tables of 6. We had two servers assigned to us. The women waitress was very friendly, but the older male waiter made the experience unpleasant. The process wasn't explained when we arrived, and we were supposed to circle the meats we wanted on a paper. However, he only asked one person at our table of 6 what they wanted, took the paper away before the rest of us could order, and told him he would bring the food which btw my friend only circled two items the guy rushed him and said "is ok I bring". About 10 minutes later, a cart full of meats that none of us ordered was brought to our table. When we asked for the items we actually wanted, he told us we had to eat what was already had the cart before he would bring anything else. I explained that nobody at our table had ordered those meats, but instead of acknowledging the mistake, he blamed the girl waitress, I don't think he realized I was watching him the whole time. I told the girl Waitress idk why he's trying to find who to blame when it was him. Thankfully, she was very accommodating and made sure we received the items we had originally wanted. 20% automatic charge due to the size of the group which I do feel like it's fair if the service was to par, but unfortunately it wasn't and we still paid that. Truthfully, I wouldn't come back. There are so many new hot pot restaurants in the area that I'd rather try. After reading other reviews, I noticed this seems to be a common experience.

The service here is quick and the staff is attentive. The food is fresh and plentiful. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault because this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Ordering is easy. The waiter gave us an iPad and walked us through the menu and ordering process since it was our first time dining here. Once we placed our order, the meats were brought to the table within minutes! We ordered beef & chicken bulgogi, pork belly, and shrimp throughout our time there. It's fun to cook it over the tabletop grill. We did not opt for the hotpot. There is a buffet-style area with salad, sauces and lots of bonchon. Hubby spent a year in Korea and said the kimchi here tastes like he remembered it tasting in Korea. They serve mild kimchi so don't be afraid to try it. I love their daikon radish and spicy cucumbers, especially when eating with beef bulgogi. The kimchi hits right with bulgogi as well. We had so much fun here! Highly recommend!
