Beef pot stickers, Bulgoghi Cup BAP
    Diloshi K.

We ordered the bulgogi cup, beef pot stickers, taro latte, mango slushie, and a side of cucumber kimchi. The bulgogi cup was decent but nothing too special -- it could use more flavor. It came with a pickled vegetable that wasn't spicy at all, and there was a green bean that seemed canned or out of place. The cucumber kimchi side was also a bit underwhelming, lacking the bold kick I expected. The beef pot stickers were a highlight -- very crispy and tasty. The taro latte was good for Connecticut standards, though the boba pearls were hard in the middle instead of chewy. The mango slushie was refreshing and not too sweet, which I really liked. The space itself is very clean, including the bathrooms, and I loved all the plants inside -- they gave the place a nice vibe. Staff was fine, though the cashier who rang us up seemed very sleepy. One suggestion: it would help if they added food descriptions to the menu, though the pictures up top do make ordering easier. I'm originally from California where the food scene is incredible, so my standards are pretty high. For Connecticut, this spot was good and honestly surprised me. Overall, it's a clean place with some nice touches, and while some dishes were hit or miss, I'd come back to try more.

"Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe" (Billy Joel) Korean Fast Food can be yours at ReFresh, but you'd better do some homework first unless you're fluent in Korean food names. We certainly were not, so imagine our puzzlement as we negotiated their menu board and saw unexplained choices such as Cup Bap, Japchae, JJajangmyun, JJanmppomg, TTTok BBokK Ki, and Kimbap. No explanations are posted, so you'd better come prepared and use the old Google machine to unlock the hidden meanings. We did a take-out order for lunch and paid $32.27 after tax and tip for three things. The first item needed no translation because it was a 6-piece order of pork dumplings for $7. They came with a dipping sauce and were excellent. There was also an unexpected item -a small container of pickled daikon radish slaw. Item #2 was Kimbap, which seems to be quite the rage at the moment. I understand that Trader Joe's sells out as soon as an order comes in. Kimbap is similar to sushi, it's a roll cut into slices with seaweed on the outside and sesame oil flavored rice inside. But there's no raw fish in kimbap, so you'll usually find grilled meats, vegetables, eggs, etc. inside. ReFresh sells four types of Kimbap, we ordered the "Regular" which had surimi in there. $7.50 got us 10 slices that tasted great, so that was pretty good value. Our third item was a Chicken Cup Bap ($13) which turned out to be an enormous portion of grilled chicken chunks, rice, noodles, and assorted vegetables. If the Kimbap was a pretty good value, the Chicken Cup was a SENSATIONAL value, because (trust me) the portion size is ridiculous. There was a crazy amount of chicken chunks in there, but we both thought they tasted a little bland and could have used more seasoning or sauce. In general, our entire order could have used a lot more sauce besides the small container we found in our take-out bag. If you're a fan of Korean food, you'll enjoy ReFresh. If you're curious about Korean food, you'll enjoy ReFresh. Just do some homework on the menu first.

There's a brand new Bubble Tea spot that has opened in Farmington around a month ago. They're called Refresh Food & Drink. They have a nice variety of Korean food options as well as bubble tea drinks and some other similar drink options. The space inside is very clean, fresh and inviting. They have plants, which are always going to make any space so much more inviting. The owner was very pleasant and he answered all of my questions, he was also the one making all the bubble teas. I got the Passion Fruit Tea. I hate to say it, but I was a bit underwhelmed by it. It was tart, and almost not at all sweet. The tapioca in it were all fresh, warm and chewy. And there were plenty of tapioca. Maybe since they're brand new they are still working on perfecting the recipe. I might stop by again sometime.

Brand new restaurant in an ~also new~ small retail plaza on Farmington Ave The menu here is comprised of a few different forms of BiBimBop, bubble tea, lattes, and a couple other options as well The space is stylish and has ample seating It took a little while for my Bibimbap to be prepared, but the man working was very friendly so I didn't mind. The portion was fairly large

We enjoyed this place so much! It isn't a huge sit down place but they did have some tables, you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The person that took our order was so kind! We ordered a few things and had plenty to take home. The jjajangmyun was delicious and I think my favorite. I would love to try the japchae next time! The banchan was unexpected but very good- had some kimchi, cucumber kimchi and pickled daikon radish. We def plan on going back.

Food and service was great!! Loved the Kimbap & Shrimp dumplings and the Mango fruit tea is so fresh!! Everything was amazing, Definitely will come back soon! Had this then went next door to Sweet Bite (I heard they are both owned by brothers) and they both were so nice and the food/sweets were sooo yummy!!!

We were so happy to be in the area and stop to try somewhere new. We loved everything we tried especially the bulgoghi bap! So delicious

FINALLY! I have been praying for a local place I can pick up delicious kimbap from and ReFresh Food & Drinks is IT! First off, this place is ridiculously clean. I love how spacious it is inside and how far apart the tables are from each other. You order at the front and then grab a table. Drinks can be picked up at the counter, and entrees are delivered to you at your seat. We got so many of their yummy items, but you HAVE to try their tteokbokki. It is the perfect level of spicy, and you need to get the cheese. It's a HUGE serving, so I recommend sharing it! We ordered the bulgogi kimbap and the tuna kimbap. They were big rolls with extra pickled radish on the side, which we appreciated. I really enjoyed my passion fruit tea. We ordered that as well as the mango latte and lychee milk tea. It's so dangerous that this place delivers via DoorDash as I will be ordering this weekly. This is the perfect meal, especially on a cold day! Thank you to the owners for opening this amazing spot up. We can't wait to continue to support you!

The restaurant is a fast casual environment with some tables. The two people working the counter was super nice. We ordered two corn dogs for my toddler and as an appetizer. We had the cheesy potato and the cheesy meat. Those were good, hot, and crunchy. We also had a cup of miso soup ($2.50) and very small side of kimchi; the amount of kimchi given was not worth the $2.50. We got the Korean bulgogi which is thin sliced BBQ beef with teriyaki sauce, onion, and carrots. Unfortunately, the flavor of the bulgogi was lacking in that dish, it was very bland and I didn't enjoy it. Eventually, I plan to go back to try out the bibimbap, spicy pork, and Korean fried chicken. The pictures online for those items, look pretty delicious. But for now, I don't recommend the beef bulgogi, unless they change up the recipe. Another downfall, they didn't have restrooms for us to use, we had to go next door to Dunkin. The place seemed pretty popular for takeout though.

For our appetizers, we are having the cucumber salad and vegetable dumplings. Like most hot pot places, they have a sauce bar and niece a new mini bar with fruit, salad and friend items. Complementary ice water is immediately served. The cucumbers are crunchy and delicious! I actually liked the vegetarian dumplings! Well, with a little soy sauce, of course! For my first drink, I'm having their world famous (well, I love it) Stateside Lychee Martini. We use Grey Goose. They make it with Bella Spritz Elderflower Liqueur and fresh lychees. This is filled to the rim! I love the fresh lychees! This is good! For my soup bases, I'm having the Chengdu Hot & Spicy soup made with bay leaves, fennel, Szechuan peppers, chili peppers, star aniseed, scallion and ginger. I'm also having the ChongQing Butter Pot. This is going to be a hot and spicy meal. They do have plenty of vegetarian options. The sushi was good btw. For my next drink, I'm having a French Martinj made with Tito's Handmade Vodka (Goose for us), Chambord and a splash of pineapple juice. This is cutely garnished and tastes great! For dessert, I am having the Coppa Pistacio which is custard gelato swirled with chocolate and pistachio gelato topped with praline pistachios. This is ice cold and yummy! For my last drink, I'm having Mango Martini made with Absolut Vodka (Grey Goose for us), Cointreau, mango syrup, and a splash of pineapple and cranberry juice. Once again, it is nicely garnished and tastes the best! What a great time here!

The menu is online, viewable by scanning the QR code in your booth, and at the end then you pay at the cashier not through the website. We each ordered the mini hotpot with two broths and got a table full of meats and veggies and even ordered a second round of meat (in hindsight, that was too much and we weren't able to finish it all). The sauce bar was fully stocked, and the ingredients were fresh. The bowls and spoons were a bit hard to find though and I had to ask for a staff member for help. The fruit bar was a bit empty, but there was enough for a dessert. The wait staff was very friendly, though they kept forgetting to refill our water, and we kept asking them about it. Overall, a great experience!
